Posted: 8/7/2008 5:57:42 AM | Update: We are not going to be able to make it to the party. Dave is so stressed out over this with his mother, he really isn't in the mood to party. I am in agreement with him on this. So, we are going to lay low this weekend and relax.
On the upside - Dave once again asked me to marry him and I said yes this time. But, the engagement will be long (like close to at least a year). Me moving out made a really big difference in our relationship and we are really happy getting to know each other as we kinda skipped the dating/getting to know phase. 
All have fun!!! Do some shots for me - at least one rhs please  !! I also would like a copy of the group anniversary picture when peeps get their pics.

Byte, I am so glad Kat worked you good and hard. oh my that didn't sound real good... well maybe to some it did. Now you see how much it takes to put on a party for the POF folks. Kat does a hella job without a doubt.
so the count down is here...looking forward to seeing peeps old and new.

Posted: 8/7/2008 7:53:34 PM | Right off the bat....HUGE THANK YOU's to DONA and BAY for their help in setting up the ballroom, today!! :O)  And thanks to Susie, who also tried to be there, but we were already done and gone! ;)
Everything is looking really nice...and yes...there are only 30 nine-top tables, but loads of mingling room, and extra chairs! :)
I am exhausted...am running on 1.5 hours of sleep....so will be heading to bed as early as possible tonight!  Linda and I are set to check in by 10:30 and put the finishing touches on everything, then relax, nap, pamper until the FUN BEGINS!
If anyone needs anything at all, please try reaching FatBottomGirlie (Shellie) as Linda works the midnight shift and I will be singing the zzzzzz's! Looking forward to seeing everyone...regulars and newbies!!
Let the official countdown BEGIN!!!!!!! 
And Bay....me thinks I won't even FEEL those spankin's....and me knows I can USE those shots, now! ;) LOL

nice to see the # going up, up up, of course by the time Kat and her helpers get to the Strat tomorrow to finish up, they won't know any of the numbers until the place starts packing them in, in the evening, unless of course, someone has a laptop handy!
I'm sleeping in, don't have to work at all tomorrow (real job), going to get my hair cut/trimmed and Kat, I'll call you when I'm all done with that and packing for the weekend before I say I'll be there and then don't make it to help out. | |

Any gathering, any group, any event.....
you make it what you want. Only YOU can make sure YOU have fun! Be bold, and get out there and meet people! The HYPE is all in your mind! Many of us are HYPED and READY for a good time.
For you newbies (and I still consider myself one, because this is the first 'party' I have gone to) the best advice is to walk over to someone and introduce yourself! dont be shy..... really silly to be shy at events like this. We are all attending to MEET people.
Instructions to get over your shyness and overcome the first time:
stop by the registration table from 7 to 8 to introduce yourself to me. Plus, DOUBLE BONUS! A fishie named Bill is there too! gosh.... two for the price of ONE! wowzer! see how eazy that was?
