Well, we went to the Strat last night and had an absolute blast! The ballroom is just about completed...is looking really cool and I am excited to decorate it all up! The new bar is so freaking long that we will not need any of the portable bars, and people will have loads of mingle space without congesting the bar area! :)
But will there be pool tables in the area?????????? | |

And Lucky for me is getting out of a POF get-ta-gether with no black eyes and enough cash to bail myself outta jail!!!

Ya know, I'm thinkin if i do go maybe i should get a room....
Can we get them at the end of the day or do we need to get them ahead of time?
I figure if i get the key early i may end up locked out of my own room with a kitty using my bed instead of me!

Yeppers, as Bay said, rooms are $35 and for those travelling or staying multiple days, that applies to all days.
It's not required to reserve in advance, but strongly suggested. The Strat reserves rooms without a credit card, so it is really risk free to do such. Just tell them you are with POF and will be at the party on 08*08*08 and they will try to place us all in one area. (Unless you really want to sleep after...lol...then you might wanna ask for a room away from others!) lol | |

We will work out the fine points of the tip jar...definitely taking it around a time or two, but also making announcements re such! ;O) Also, even if we do not get a band (still waiting on some replies) you won't have to work it the entire night. The Strat is set up for music videos and stations to be piped in...and the screen above the new HUGE dance floor, can play videos. :o) (theres a new screen above the bar, too!)
I like to remind everyone to try and be generous during these ultimately free parties...remembering the music providers, servers, bartenders, etc...and to show them all that POFers know how to party, but are generous tippers! :O) It enables us to keep these going since our generousity is what makes us welcome back!
