This is going to be an awesome time...so much time to be anticipating it, as well! LOL

OK...Tony! You are absolutely FREE to party for the entire eve of the party! ;)
The music is going to be taken care of by the Strat now...as they have a completely new system in and really want to try it out to see how we all like it. The main reason for the rennovations to the ballroom, is to make the Strat more of a "dance club" and they invested a lot into their new system. Apparently music can be piped in with matching videos (shown on two HUGE screens in the ballroom) and can be ALL genres...a set one, or a mix.

Amber...of course the music and vids will be in sync! :) Same way as in the bar...they match up with the songs played from the jukebox...only in the ballroom, we can choose a certain genre like 90's, classic rock, 80's, or a mix.
Poco...looking forward to seeing you there, as well! :) I hope you will find the parties as enjoyable as most of us have!
Edit to add: I see the sign ups are growing...awesome! Typically, we have always been able to get a pretty accurate headcount by doubling sign ups...so if they keep up at this consistent of a rate, then we are gonna have a hella party! What am I saying? It's gonna be a hella party, anyway! ;) | |

To the newbies, you'll have a definite blast, if you don't meet someone it's probably cause you were too shy to walk around the room to introduce yourself, sorry, but in order to meet someone you have to talk to them!
I attended my first POF party, last August and it is coming up to a year already! I cannot believe it. I have met some wonderful folks through POF parties and some wonderful ladies ~ guys, there are plenty here to meet and get to know, they're awesome friends of mine! Have fun   | |

When you enter the Strat...it is a big, open bar area...the Ballroom is located behind the main bar. Just ask anyone who works there, where the ballroom is...you cannot miss it! :)
We will have door greeters at the entrance to the bar...so if you feel uneasy about walking in solo, don't! The greeters are more than happy to make a few initial introductions...but as Denise said...Just mingle and soon you will be making loads of new friends! There is always a name tag table as well...which is a great conversation starting point!
Myself and the co-hosts are also readily available to meet and greet! :)
Am psyched for this party! A few of us are actually going to the Strat tonight...so if you have no weekend plans, all are welcome to pop in! | |

I have received several emails asking if attending the party or having a room was a requirement to attend the SAT 08*09*08 SAND VOLLEYBALL AND BBQ.
No. It is not.
However, we will most likely be basing the anticipated attendance on hotel reservations as the staff will need a general idea of how many will be in attendance for food quantity reasons.
If you are reserving a room, please identify yourself as a POF member/guest needing a room reservation for the Crazy 8s party. :) Attendees of the BBQ will receive a NOON check out time, which is when the BBQ will commence.
The Sand Volleyball/BBQ will be a PAY AT THE DOOR event and attendees will receive a bracelet.
Also, for those who have inquired about helping with decorating...I have received permission to start the decorating on the evening prior to the party....so we will be doing the majority of the decorating on Thursday night. :)

(They performed a c-section to deliver one, and let the 2nd stay inutero longer) There was another who delivered naturally, hours apart which happened to fall on midnight, so her twins celebrated a day aprt! WILD! ;) Mine...2 minutes apart! ;) | |
