| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 6/25/2008 3:52:04 PM | Maybe Obama will pick Hillary and maybe not. I think Obama might have a problem with Bill being in the picture. There is also the fact that Hillary and John Edwards both called Obama on the carpet for his inexperience. Hillary even said(utube video on this) that McCain would be better than Obama because he would be ready on day one. I also believe that Hillary would eventually have a huge problem with Obamas extreme liberalism. If not already. I think She is supporting Obama now to get help from him,in order to pay off her debt. If She isn't chosen as Obamas running mate, McCain could very well ask her to switch sides. You never know in this crazy world, right? | |

But, the above-stated quote was taken from a print publication that reports the news from other recognized news sources from around the world. It's not a blog. They can be sued for defamation of character for what they publish, I'm sure.

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 6/29/2008 11:31:56 AM | | Nadar. He's right in what he's announcing but it seems to be impossible for a 3rd party to take hold in American. At least in my lifetime. We need a Moderate Party for working, middle class Americans who have paid into the system their whole lives and been nothing but responsible. Right now, we have only a squeaky voice (help!) down a long, long well . . . . . After all, we are the one's paying all the taxes it seems; off shore American Corps (no taxes) wealthy monies in trusts (no taxes) 16 year olds breeding and on the welfare for 6 generations (no taxes). What do we get for it? A $800 monthly bill for health insurance that is designed to promote big pharma and the AMA, etc; subsidize oil companies. I'll crawl back into my corner. Time to take an Elevil. | |

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 6/29/2008 10:49:11 PM | | I'm inclined to agree with post #74. And I'm willing to bet no matter if McCain or Obama is elected, they will both continue to push us towards a north American union, picking up where Bush left off, and neither would really make a sincere effort at stopping illegal immigration, or stop threatening to start more wars overseas which we can't afford since we are going broke and way too deep in debt, that's partially why I don't support either of them. Baldwin of the constitution party would put a stop to all that though, if enough people would wake up and find out whats really going on and get behind him. Too bad most American people don't bother to really do their research on the internet on all the candidates including ones outside democrat and republican parties. | |

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 6/30/2008 8:05:48 PM | I just heard that Mitt the Nitwit is on McCain's short list. God help us if Mitt the Nitwit becomes a heartbeat away from the presidency. He is a bad man all around, a bigoted pig in slick clothing who is so disgusting that he would be as bad an embarrassment to our country as Bushboy has been all these long years.

Too many of the others are too caught up with their silly little grade-school name-calling with "McSame", "McInsane", "Mitt the Nitwit" etc and really come across as petty and pathetic. Your postings are polite, intelligent, on topic and enjoyable to read, whether or not I agree with your politics. Have a great evening!

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 6/30/2008 11:42:34 PM | Thank you Dallas. After I wrote he 'would win' I felt that was a little too strong.
My feelings for Mitt were truly based on a negative stereotyping going on here in Texas.
He is a proud Mormon. My piano teacher (whom I loved dearly) was a Mormon, and my cousin just married a young lady from the Mormon faith. But right now (we thought Wright was controversial) I think it would not be a good move. On another forum they were talking about homosexuality (marriage) and polygamy became part of the topic. There is too much at stake.
If I were McCain I would play it safe, but that is me and only MY opinion. The Mormon church states they do not practice polygamy, but the American people feel differently.
RELIGION Polygamist Raid is PR Nightmare for Mormons

The Salt Lake Mormon Temple appeared in print and television stories about the raid on the FLDS polygamist ranch in Texas. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
“Mormons have nothing whatsoever to do with this polygamous sect in Texas... [Polygamy] is a significant part of our distant past, not of our present.” Quentin Cook, Mormon Leader
The FLDS polygamist group considers this temple in Eldorado, Texas, a sacred structure. But some news stories about the April raid on FLDS polygamists depicted the Salt Lake Mormon Temple, adding to confusion that inaccurately linked FLDS polygamists with Mormons. The Eldorado Success
Day to Day, June 30, 2008 · Mormons want the world to know this: They're not polygamists. And the FLDS polygamists in Texas are not Mormons.
Thanks fellow Texan for that compliment it was truly appreciated.

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 7/2/2008 3:35:55 PM | | Faith, we just had Romney as a governor in MA. It was a mistake, very much so. He's a good business man as long as it affects him directly or his tribe. That's it. Also, he wife, the "Stepford Wife" scares me a lot. Oh, yeh, I've voted for 2 prior Republican governors. | |

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 7/2/2008 3:46:11 PM | Enigma,
Yes, I do not think it would be a good idea. I prefer Obama, but I do respect McCain. If McCain won, I would not be distraught. At this time that would not be a good combination.
|
| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 7/2/2008 4:49:07 PM | Enigma, I also voted for Bill Weld. He was a wonderful governor who was socially liberal and fiscally responsible. He did a nice job and was a credit to the Republicans. Unfortunately the likes of Mitt the Nitwit are an embarrassment to the nation as a whole. Its open and extreme bigotry against gays is revolting and disgusting.
While I respect McCain's military service, I would be very scared if he became president. He is very volatile emotionally, and I am concerned that he could start a nuclear war. He seems to be the kind of man who would make snap judgements that could bite us in the butt later. I don't think he has the right personality to be president. I would even be concerned about him as a business executive. His temper might scare off would be customers. I would much rather have an emotionally stable man with a level head on his shoulders running our country. Barack Obama is just that man.
GO OBAMA!!! | |

| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 7/4/2008 8:45:18 AM | OH FABULOUS! He's bringing in Karl Rove's right arm! See below:
Published on Thursday, July 3, 2008 by Minneapolis-St. Paul Star-Tribune (Minnesota) McCain Camp Puts Rove Man In Charge New chief Steve Schmidt, right, a veteran of the Bush campaign, will focus on honing McCain’s message. Republicans have complained the campaign lacked clear themes.
Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign has gone through its second shake-up in a year.
Responding to Republican concern that his candidacy was faltering, McCain put a veteran of President Bush’s 2004 campaign in charge of day-to-day operations, and stepped away from a plan to have the campaign run by 11 regional managers, McCain’s aides said Wednesday.
The elevation of Steve Schmidt — who worked closely with Karl Rove — at McCain’s headquarters represented a sharp diminishment of the responsibilities of Rick Davis, who has been McCain’s campaign manager since the last shake-up nearly a year ago.
The move is the latest sign of increasing influence of veterans of Rove’s shop in the McCain operation. Nicolle Wallace, who was communications director for Bush in the 2004 campaign (and in his White House) has joined the campaign as a senior adviser, and will travel with McCain every other week. Greg Jenkins, another veteran of Rove’s operation who is a former Fox News producer and director of presidential advance in the Bush White House, was hired by Schmidt last week after a series of what McCain’s advisers acknowledged were poorly executed campaign events.
Schmidt will be in charge of finding a more effective message in his race against Democratic Sen. Barack Obama, who leads in most public polls.
Schmidt said McCain faces a difficult challenge, given the overall mood of the country, but said he is encouraged by the fact that Obama and McCain remain in a relatively tight race.
|
| The Truth About John McCain's Intentions For America Posted: 7/4/2008 4:07:43 PM | Schmidt is the one causing all of the controversy. That is hurting McCain even more. Once again will at the gym, I was watching CNN. They are blaming him on the so called 'flip flop' lingo going on concerning Obama. | |
