| Ever seen someone on here with an 'imaginary lover'? Posted: 7/24/2008 5:31:43 AM | | yes, this woman ran the work social club, and don't think she ever got much action if you know what I mean. Horrid little woman with a nasty personality, and she would cry in a corner until you asked her what was wrong and then she would tell you the man she was seeing has broken up with her. She also used to dress up at work and pretend they were doing lunch together, he didn't exist. | |

Yes, I have seen someone inadvertently reveal themself as having multiple profiles yeah I had never even thought about it till I got caught up in it, then when the person/s were outed she/he mysteriously stopped communicating with me, how bizarre! Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to on a website full of people who, let's face it, we will never even meet most of, and as someone else said (2sir I think) I have enough trouble remembering who I am and what I have said to whom without inventing multiple characters, waaay too confusing for me

| Ever seen someone on here with an 'imaginary lover'? Posted: 7/24/2008 5:48:27 AM | Ummmm....not that I'm aware of. I guess people have their own reasons they might make up lovers. I like the idea of the donuts tho......
Seriously, I have enough trouble keeping up with my 3 real life lovers, let alone inventing more. Scuse me, I just have to text Brad, George and Leonardo.
(Just kidding - I only have two lovers - Leonardo is blurk.)

| Ever seen someone on here with an 'imaginary lover'? Posted: 7/24/2008 8:49:10 PM | Does seem to kinda defeat the purpose huh? But then I get the feeling some people here aren't really interested in meeting anyone at all, they just like to chat, argue, or get attention however they can, it's pretty sad really...

YES! This is exactly the kind of scenario I was talking about. Not maybe to that extreme but yes! Imaginery lover. All the love letter stuff. Then the break up stuff.
And he never existed.
The only thing I can put it down to is trying to make it look to others like she is highly datable. I just dont know. Or maybe she thinks she looks like the left on the shelf type or something, so sets out to dispel the theory so folks dont feel sorry for her.
And someone else mentioned multiple profiles. Got one with those I know too. Posting into his own threads agreeing with himself and making gushy comments about himself by name. WEIRD! He even wrote to me (as one of the other ones) and I picked up who it was right away because of the posts by this guy (newbie) and just laughed at him. Next comes an email from his normal account saying Hey! This dude just wrote to me (the other phoney profile of his own) and sends me a copy of it (to try and prove it wasnt him)
Yep. WEIRD! He was trying to find out what I said to other people about our friendship. Except, that and a few other things, have now caused the end of that friendship.
Weird...or scarey?????
