I went to the leeds meet on sat eve,was originally going with someone else who had to cancel but thought id show my face since i singned up for it,i live fairly near so decided to drive and come back early, first time in the venue but thought its just as well 67 did,nt turn up or they,d be standing on each others heads lol,it was to small ,especially when you consider that the locals will be going as well, anyway had one alcohilic drink and asked for any non alcohilic beer, the barman looked at me as though id swore at him lol and said they did,nt have any alcohol free beer so i called it a day and went back to my local and had a few .spoke to a couple of friendly ladies at the bar who i assumed were from pof but there was no formal (or informal)way of telling who was who.

we still have a freedom of rights , i am sure people have intentions of going to meets when they put their names down, but things like other things coming up or maybe a lack of nerves may make them change their minds

thanks for all your comments - taken on board - yes I am an just another pof member - but i as has been said - I had taken the time to arrange the event - I realise attendance is not mandatory - also that things can crop up or people get nervous. With the benefit of experience watch the board for the next one - sometime around end of july i hope. The event was open to all and someone will be on the door next time - those who were there had a good time, so roll on the next one - the beauty of this venue is its not as big as somewhere like flares but a bit more than just a pub, any suggestions are welcome so ....... onwards and upwards with experience under my belt so to speak
