| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 4:13:42 AM | | I'm a little confused. What had to be paid for? Did the sex toy guy charge a fee? As long as each person purchasing something paid for it themselves, then there should be no problem. Was there a fee for something else that I missed? | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 4:26:13 AM | | exactly patti...how come its ok to pay for drinks?? or to order of the menu of the establishment? i found nothing wrong with that toy party. i didnt want anything to do with it so i just didnt go to the table it was displayed at. i didnt find it offensive at all. i didnt exprerience any pressure what so ever to purchase something either. we are all adults and i dont understand what the problem is.. its stupid if u ask me, but then again so is the person who complained about it | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 5:04:52 AM | There is a dance cruise posted from another group and they are charging $17.50 to go. Isn't that agains the rules? I even forgot the toy guy was there until I walked by looking for my name match. He was very out of the way not a problem for anyone not interested. So the parties are still in the works? Just not advertised here? | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 7:37:46 AM | | Some of the comments you people make here in the posts are ridiculously stupid......These comments about the toy party being a problem make me down right laugh....YOUR NOT ALL CHURCH LADIES.....Its funny how someone can be so shy when others are in their presence......but yet ( and I'm NOT saying ALL WOMAN......so don't get excited and put all kinds of posts on here ) a good portion of the woman on here jump in the sack with a guy after that first cup of coffee.......that kind of kills that phrase "Dinner and a Movie" ....its more like "Coffee and the Horizontal Bop " .....and I think we all seen a good example of that last week with a sexual assault taken place.......As for your comment PattyW45 on the DANCE CRUISE ..charging $17.50......I guess you expect everything to be free.???....hey just think of the fuel costs today alone.....I don't think that Boat floats on Plenty of Fish fuel........( maybe Jacobi's should give free drinks all night long too ) .....Oh!! lets not forget the food at these parties....I have noticed that all the Few Extra Pound chicks are always first inline and then complain about the food later...( NO FREE MEAL this Month )........So Patty as for the $17.50 fee for the Cruise should be the least of your worries......if anything WORRY about Life Jackets being onboard for the fear of the boat sinking with all those Jenny Craig members onboard | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 7:48:12 AM | Dan, Dan, Dan lol
I think you have misconstrued what Patti was stating or asking. She was only merely asking, she wasn't forming an opinion on the matter, at least I did not feel that she was. Referencing the food at the parties....I have never once been able to even get to the food, by the time I got to where the food was...IT WAS GONE! (RIP) lol
I personally was not in agreement with the sex toy sale. This was not however the reason I didn't go to the last party, I had personal obligations. My motto is live and let live and besides, I was not the host and the majority of people there obviously didn't mind the sex toy sale, so in my world, majority rules!
Let's not forget the few extra pound guys who fight the few extra pound "chicks" for the food. I think a great addition to these parties would be the POF members betting on the victors of the food! That beats speed dating anyday!!! After this event we can all gather in the back of the establishment for the nightly chickenfight.
I don't mind people who are on Jenny Craig or weight watchers,,this shows they are trying to better themselves and become more healthy and I know how hard it is to lose weight, however, it's the ones who are in denial that make me scratch my head. "I'm toned and athletic"! said the man with a beer gut overlapping his belt while downing a box of twinkies. :)

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 8:53:25 AM | Thank you Nona, Dan I was just referring that the cruise is charging a fee and it was said events were suppose to be free of charge. I'm not complaining of paying for anything. As far as the food goes, I have not once taken any. If that remark about the life jacket, Jenny Craig and extra pound chicks was a referral to me, I'd like an apology. I at least put that on my profile, as Nona said, the guys with the athletic bodies and mixed color hair, (and is really bald) should take a look in the mirror. I wasn't looking for an argument. Excuse me for adding my two cents. I didn't know I needed an invitation to say something. All I wanted to know in the first place is if the darn parties are still going on. Now I don't think I really care. | |

You should come out to one of Angel's events which I'm sure she will be having soon. They are great and alot of fun. Dan is a good guy, trust me, he's just a little blunt sometimes. I do not believe he was aiming the remarks at you by any means, in fact, I believe he was "warning" you in his joking way :)
When Angel has another event and I do not have personal obligations hopefully that weekend, feel free to look me up Patti, I will buy you a beer or a glass of wine. Ya can't miss me, I"m the redhead with the southern accent. I'm always hanging in the corners with "the girls". :)

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 3:25:10 PM | how come its ok to pay for drinks?? or to order of the menu of the establishment? The rule is specific that the HOST must not receive money. It is discouraged to have events at places where the cover charge is extraneous, but it is not forbidden.
The cruise thing is peachy dandy as long as the HOST is not collecting money for it. if the boat company is doing it, then it is allowable.
You can read all of the hosting rules on the forums for holding events. In fact, I encourage that.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/24/2008 4:24:33 PM | The invitation generator mass emails everyone within a ten mile radius of the planned event, regardless of age, sex, weight, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, hair color, eye color or any other quality. It is totally non-discriminatory.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/25/2008 12:39:16 AM | As usual Nona with the quick wit and hilarious commentary, she's always tickled my funny bone whether she plagerizes or is original.
However, I hope I'm doing this right and the reply post gets read by all who read and reply.
I think woman of all sizes have a certain degree of sexiness to them. It's a persons attitude that makes them ugly.
Again folks lets be cliche, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, there is love for everyone in this world. Sometimes we dont recognize whats in front of our faces and miss the opportunity of happiness the energy of our universe provides for us.
I've dated women as big as 300 lbs, they've all been clean and well dressed and well mannered, unlike myself at times and intelligent.
I believe that sometimes you find something way better than you hoped for in a different package, when your open minded, talk and communicate with someone.
You may have been looking for that hot woman, or that buff guy, but when you talk to someone outside that wish list and listen, you find an intelligent, caring ,warm person that you can fall in love with.
However be a big enough person to define your relationship to the individual your getting involved with right from the start, so that way theres no surprises of the negative kind.
And really folks lets keep in mind that we all mess up, we all say n do stupid things and were not perfect.
We're human beings. | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/25/2008 4:41:58 AM | | So would it be safe to say that if we planned lets say a cookput in a park and it was free to us and we all brought something that would be ok,but if the park charge to rent a shelter we couldn't have it there? | |
|
| |
| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/25/2008 5:52:50 AM | Sorry something happened to half the post earlier
Dave.........whats a cookput?

I think a POF picnic sounds like a great relaxing way for people to interact and mingle. Great idea Dave
|
| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/25/2008 2:52:00 PM | | Dave - we could have a cookout [I am looking into that, by the way]. As long as the HOST does not handle any money, i.e., if the park charges and takes money, the host is not handling or charging money. The parameters on the rules are fairly clear about that. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to let me know | |
