| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/27/2008 5:56:38 AM | Sorry but I have to stick my 2 cents in...Being that I am in law enforcement 10 bells ans whistles went off when I read your post.
Matilda...your offer of opening up your home to everyone was lovely and kind hearted. Please keep in mind what happened to a POF lady a few weeks ago.
Not saying that anyone who attended maybe a rapist, but literally most who will be attending are strangers to YOU. Do you want strangers knowing where you live?
~gets off soapbox~
Tosses 2 quarters on top of the 2 cents as I imagine this post will start a flurry of activity.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/27/2008 8:30:47 PM | | Well I finally got off the Saturday rotation at work and can attend a POF event. I find that the next one is on a Friday, no problem, I arranged to have the day off. I come on to register to the site to find that this event is no longer taking place and neither is the one on July 26th. What is going on here? I had been reading these boards since December but was unable to make it to any of the prior events due to work and because I don't really like to drive in the winter. The thing I loved was that there were two sets of hosts. I was excited at meeting both. If you couldn't make one event, you could make the other one. Now I come on and read and it seems one set of hosts is no longer able to host through POF. Is this high school here? You know when the cliques would work really hard to discredit those they don't like for whatever reason. While I wouldn't have been interested in the sex toy thing, I would have just avoided it. The way I'm reading nobody had to take part if they didn't want to. You know how I see it as a lurker/reader who finally was going to join POF and join in on the fun, one word SABOTAGE. It's not hard to see what went on. Whether or not someone made the complaint themselves, they were in on it. This is sad and disheartening. I'm not interested in meeting through the site but the parties are a wonderful idea. So hope the cruel plotters are reveling in their supposed win, what are you doing high fiving, slapping each other on the back, or just plain gloating. I was interested in both sets of parties, now I'm not interested in anything sponsored through POF. I'd be afraid that if I did something not liked or if I wasn't liked, that I would be reported or talked about. I thought this was a site for adults. I am also not interested in going where the topic of conversation will be about this incident. Don't say that won't be going on because it will. Maybe not in a large group but in smaller groups. There was no reason for any of this. You could've went to the hosts and discussed it like adults but no that wasn't part of the plan. I wasn't going to join but decided to join so that I could post my feelings on here. Feelings I'm sure others have but don't want to express because they like these events, and don't want to be uncomfortable when attending one. I can understand that. Well now people you have one choice of one event to attend. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. My intention is not to attack anyone and I apologize if it appears that way. I just felt the need to voice my opinion and that's all it is, my opinion. I was looking forward to meeting many of you fun loving people. | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/27/2008 9:20:40 PM | This is like watching a train wreck. When I first began hosting Buffalo events, it was great fun, even though it wasn't something I set out to do - it was something foisted upon me. I have met wonderful people as a result of stepping up to host the events.
When Bonnie approached me and asked why I did not have an event out in Lackawanna, I asked her why SHE didn't have them. and so a second set of events was created.
I have scheduled events for this month because of the raft of emails requesting me to do so. However, this will likely be the end of PoF events altogether in the Buffalo area, at least as far as I am concerned. This is a voluntary thing - I have continued to do it because I have enjoyed watching everyone have a good time, but I do not enjoy and have lost my tolerance for the voluminous emails lately complaining about locations, complaining about freebies , complaining about the lack of freebies, complaining about the older people, complaining about the younger people, and so on and so on.
Thank you for attending the events I have hosted over the past year and four months. It has been my pleasure in most respects to put them together. I can't say I will continue.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 8:11:33 AM | Angel:
I personally want to say that I have enjoyed your events which you have hosted. I have enjoyed Bonnie's events as well. I would like to think that all this drama will not stop you from doing something you enjoy. It's obvious you enjoy aiding people in making possible love connections. One can not please everyone, you have done nothing wrong.
I want to address the "sex toy" aspect of what happened at the last event. I wasn't there, but it was very much unrealistic to expect some people to not be offended by such a thing. I personally am not and would not have been offended, but I do feel that it was not a good idea. I feel it was not classy. Part of providing people with a great atmosphere is keeping in mind that not all people are liberal and open minded. Sex toys belong in shops or private parties as far as I'm concerned, not within an arena for possible love connections. Obviously the website agreed with this analogy. It is quite possible that NO ONE told of this occurrence, it was plainly stated in the forums which are watched over by the forum moderator's, they could have possibly have reported this to the owner of the website who was in disagreement. On the other hand, someone very well could have reported it, but that is the chance you take when such a venture is embarked upon.
I personally would like to view more events within the Buffalo area. I personally am tired of the "lurkers" on the website. These events have enabled me to meet some great people...men/women alike, without the events, this would not have happened. Some of us do not like the pressure of first meetings and enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere of being around a group of people in performing these matters.
Angel please don't stop hosting your events. I would like to view Bonnie hosting future events as well. It would be a great disappointment if all events were canceled and no more scheduled for the future.
I personally will attend your future events if you ever schedule one on a weekend I can actually attend. :)

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 9:42:01 AM | Greeting Folks,
I would like to thanks Angel and Bonnie for there efforts in this adventure of leading the fishee's to clearer water, for the group. Yes it take a certain type of person to do these events, but anyone can hold these functions, and post the thread for attending interests. If you have a place and need assistence in learning the process, just ask any of the previous host or co-host, and /or read the guide line for posting. It's not hard to do, and the rewards of all the friends you make are tremendous. Breaking aways from your inner circle of friends is aways a challenge.
Even the lead duck like to take a break, and take a back trail to the flight across the heavy winds when cross the ocean. The best leaders also know when to follow too.
So when that next host step up to the plate, show your support and appreciation for the effort they will be face with.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 11:42:50 AM | DELTA DAWN SAID : I had been reading these boards since December "
Ummm ... no you have not ! You just joined this site June 24th 2008 , so how have you been reading this board since December?
Or are you somebody else ?... Hmmm ... I bet if the moderators checked that IP address i could almost bet my horse and carriage it belongs to a certain blocked host ?
And .. Moderators MODERATE .. that is their job , and if you ask me , getting rid of people who openly break the rules is EXACTLY why i remain on this website. They keep this place a nice place to be. Keep the white trash out and the good peeps in . They keep it safe and clean for all to enjoy , not just the choice few who view this website as their own personal money making , attention whoreing SCHEME.
Good Riddance to those the Moderators feel to be unsuitable for this site.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 1:57:47 PM | | I joined on the 24th of June but was able to view the board. I couldn't post on it but I could view it, you can view the boards without belonging to POF. I'm not BonBon so check my IP address all you want but you'll lose your horse and carriage. I could care less if you believe it or not. I don't think you have the right to call someone you don't know white trash or decide who good peeps are. I didn't agree with the sex toy party either and stated that in my post. I have the right to have my opinion on the subject and that's all I did was state my opinion. You could have stated yours without attacking me. Others did just that and were adult about it. I apologized if I came off attacking anyone and I meant it. You blatantly attacked me which by the way is against the POF rules but I'm not going to go whining to the moderator. Thank you all who responded, Nona great response. You voiced your opinion which was very clear, to the point, and you did it without attacking anyone. I don't completely agree with the part about lurkers. I just wasn't ready to join until I knew I could attend an event, however I respect your opinion on it. A lot of people seem to like and respect both sets of hosts on here and that's good to see. Here's hoping you all have a great time on the 12th. | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 3:14:44 PM | I received this email the other day. It might stop everyone from trying to lay blame. Hello, my name is Lou, I saw your post about the party at Jacobis. I am the owner of The Devil In Me Adult Novelties. I am contacting you because you answered nonas post and for some reason I cannot email her. There was no money exchanged at all between myself and the hostess Bonnie, infact we gave away over $150 of prizes that nite. I had an agreement witht he owner and had nothing to do with the party although I am a member of POF. Bonnie should have never been kicked out, somebody gave misinformation to the POF Monitors about she having the party that was not true for I set it up because in the past parties many ladies asked to have one at the POF parties so I set one up the the owner. But I have a feeling who did it. Sorry if I bothered you, you may pass it on if you like. Take care Lou | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 4:52:29 PM | WOW
The Drama out here is like that of a short stacked high school classroom .
I am in no way an insider on these happenings , but from watching and listening to the DRAMA unfold ... an outsiders perspective is that someone broke some rule somewhere and got kicked off .
get over it ... seriously ...
I dont think anyone really cares all that much that one person got kicked out of the pond. The pond is huge .. another host will step up , life will go on .
I fully trust the modertators decisions and trust that they do , what they do , for a reason . I highly doubt that the entire story is played out here ... I am sure there is more to it than a little sex toy scam ...

A lot of people seem to like and respect both sets of hosts on here and that's good to see. Here's hoping you all have a great time on the 12th. Most of the people attending these parties have been terrific and like Nona said, my purpose in holding events was to offer a safe, enjoyable and stress free way of getting a "first look" .
I strongly dislike politics. It's time to lay this thread to rest and put down the box of rocks.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/28/2008 7:56:14 PM | What happened to those party threads, in answer to your question, is that the Moderators cancelled them. There will be no more Plenty of Fish functions at Jacobi's so, no. They are not still "on", even if you receive an email to the contrary. They are not on.
The next local Plenty of Fish party is posted above your in box just like always.

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/29/2008 7:03:31 AM | Hey Dawn
I assure you the "lurkers" I"m referring to are not indeed yourself, what I was referring to are the people who just hang out on the website and never venture out to meet people, or the creepy lurkers who just prey upon whatever woman will have them, or the creepy deranged women, these types usually do not end up at the POF parties. This is why I enjoy the POF parties, it shows more times to none the people who are serious about meeting someone. :) Even the ones who just want to get laid,,,at least they are serious enough about getting laid that they get up off their butts to come to the POF parties!!!! lol
I personally have met alot of great people at these parties, also due to this website, I have made connections with past coworkers from my bluecollar days to even someone I knew seven years ago...no names....<cough> Dan.
Anyways......whatever happened with Bonnie and this situation is none of our business.....let's just hope that Bonnie does host more future events, I must state that no matter how one feels about Bonnie...she sure did get great turnouts for her events..no one can deny that of her...my first pof event was one of her's and that night was hell night for me, I had my tail light smashed in out in the parking lot and I met a really horrible guy! I still went back to her parties,,,,after that one,,they were fun! lol I would like to see her expertise utilized for future events as well, alot of people have met their "click" at she and Dub's parties as well as Angel and Dee's parties....so let's just stop with all the drama,,it's not worth it and I personally will show up to another event of Bonnie's as well as Angel's..life's too short :)

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/29/2008 7:37:18 AM | | Another great post Nona. Almost everyone has responded so graciously. It's been refreshing to see the positives from people about both sets of parties. I've seen a lot of respect given and it really is wonderful. I myself don't plan on posting anymore on the subject. Thank you to those who reponded to me with patience and didn't jump the gun and go for the jugular. Have fun all! | |

| Buffalo...Pics from June 14 @ Jacobis! Posted: 6/30/2008 1:20:39 PM | I was just curious if anyone has heard anything about those injured woman for the last Jacobi party that I had posted............
This was the post
Well I heard the same thing Nona heard about the toy party as a culprit to why the parties were cancelled ......their were 3 such injuries reported to local emergency rooms........One Woman that purchased a toy at the party was seriously injured after she got home......apparently she was trying out her new toy with so much pleasure she fell off her bed and injured her spine........in another case a woman slid off her computer chair and sprained her wrist........at Buffalo General Hospital a woman reportedly showed up with a broken toy and then emergency staffers were summoned to locate the missing piece..........
The moral of the story is .......READ the DIRECTIONS Ladies......and use at your own rish .......LOL
