| Re: Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/13/2005 1:01:39 PM | "Porn" was never meant to stimulate, per se, but rather to aid folks in breaking down barriers, and instill a sense that living out dreams and fantasies is okay.
I dont believe that porn was made to make us feel better about acting out our fantasies. So the men that watch this, go to their wives and say, hey I saw this movie and they were doing this here, so lets live out our fantasy. More realistically, the man masterbates to the movie without the wife knowing, imho. "
Porn was meant to make money for it's creator.....PERIOD. Any positive affects are bonuses for fans....but to suggest that makers of porn were motivated by anything but profit is stretching it IMO.

| Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/14/2005 8:56:15 PM | I'm actually watching porn right now.
It's a gay porn flick titled "Rough Boys" that I recently got ripped off by buying it!
I generally feel "quite randy" after watching it. These guys give THE BEST rim jobs I've ever seen! I plan on using this as an instructional video one day!
On a sidenote: I think it's interesting to watch how men please other men. If I were less selfish, I'm sure I could pick up some "head pointers", 'cause these guys really know what they're doing.
On ANOTHER sidenote: I've been watching gay porn for years (it started in college on a "girls night out") and I've tried to "hip" some of my new friends to it, but no one's really for it. It wasn't until I read the posts of some other women's affinity for man-on-man action, that I realized I was not alone! What a wonderful feeling! I think we (women and gay men lovers of gay porn) should lobby to get some of these sex stores to bring a larger selection of guy-on-guy stuff! There's a market for it!! (of course I'm not really PART of that market since I just PURCHASED some for the first time, after having been a fan for YEARS! )

| Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/14/2005 9:07:57 PM | | Hmmm, I've only seen porn once when I was married. the title was "supercock" and my wife popped it in.......talk about feeling inadequate afterwards! | |
|
| Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/14/2005 9:12:07 PM | Not me,why? -Because,at one time,I started getting into it to much. I was getting into my little fantasy about 2 or more girls and one guy(me),and I started thinking this is not the real world.I did not want to base/compare real life experiences to fantasy. | |

Yeah, I've heard stories about how watching too much porn can give you an "altered" sense of reality!
I have to admit, I'm expecting the "superc20ck" after watching this flick! However, I realize that only hot, hung, buff gay guys are 'packing' like that, so I've lowered my standards to accepting just your "average-run-of-the-mill 9-to-5-coffee-drinking-guy" (of course with a superc0ck!).

| Re: Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/15/2005 5:32:49 AM | The implication that those of us who are/ were or plan on being a part of the adult entertainment industry are in it/ own it/ create it for the sole purpose of making money is bogus.
I recently sold my business of two years. At the end of two years, I might have broken even. Yeah, I made money. I have bills to pay, and I like to eat. I earned about 40K a year while I was running my business.
I have opened 7 businesses in the last ten years. All required a solid business plan, and financing. Of course, my adult business was no different. However, I got into the adult entertainment industry because I am fascinated by it, enjoy it, watch it, buy it, participate in it and many more reasons.
Most people, I suppose, would be surprised to find that the majority of adult business owners do not make a "killing". In fact, there are only a handful of AEI businesses that make oodles of money.
Most of us run our companies with integrity, and treat our employees the way they deserve to be treated: medical insurance, paid vacation, profit sharing, etc.
I will stick to my guns. The initial intent of all adult entertainment is just that, entertainment. The force behind it for me, and most of the rest of us, was/ is to expose different sexual ideas in the hope that social barriers, legislative barriers and fears be broken down so that we may all freely and consciously do what we like to do.

| Re: Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/15/2005 7:15:22 AM | I was thinking about that last nite and came to this conclusion. Like it's been said before in this thread, porn is made to make money and it's aimed mainly at males and I would even go as far as saying that it's aimed more at single males. Porn however is adapting to new mentalities and they are starting to aim porn at females and couples also and it is working a bit in my opinion.
On the other hand, saying that porn as no influence on society would be wrong. I believe that the porn industry is also setting trends in our sexual lives. If we go back in time, lets say the early 80's or late 70's for example, you did not see much anal, if any, you didn't see women swallow, or very little, you didn't see shaved bushes, DP etc. and you didn't find that in everyday life either in any normal couple. Then came deep throat and porn evolved a bit and so did sex in the normal world. Later on, men in pornos started shooting their loads in women's mouth or on her face instead of simply cuming on their tits or ass etc. and so on....
Nowadays, you see everything in porno, anal, facials, swallowers, spitters, DP, Anal DP, Vaginal DP's and some of these have already becoming popular in the normal world like swallowing, anal etc.... the porn industry not only influences us adults up to a certain extent, it also influences the teenagers too. I remember seeing a doctor on tv saying that he was once asked by a 12 year old girl if she had to get it in every hole when having sex......
Porno = sex Ed too for many young males....... I mean, we all know that Sex Ed at school sucks the big one (no pun intended) and that most of us never really got much Sex Ed at home from our parents either so where to young bucks turn for Sex Ed.......Porno of course. It's far from being the Sex Ed teenagers need but it is still better than nothing........although it could shater ones sexuality real quick if the teenage boy thinks he should be able to f*ck for 30 minutes non stop before shooting his first load........Boy isn't he in for a surprise, specially on his first time ever lol.........
Anyway, Porno is a Billion dollar industry and more and it has more influence on us then were ready to admit...
sorry for the long post | |

| Re: Porn. Who's watching it? Posted: 4/15/2005 9:03:42 AM | I've always liked some porn. But I also worry about how porn is effecting our youth. I mean for me, porn was sneaking peaks at my dad's playboys. And the day I found a penthouse, I thought I died and went to Heaven.
Now, porn is pretty accessable to everyone -- including kids. A friend of mine still lives in the town I went to college in. And he employees a number of college kids and since he's close to the same age (he's 31), they're all pretty close. The tell him stories of 3 girls taking on six guys, gang bangs, girl on girl, etc. Now I went to the same college and had my share of fun. there were 3-somes from time to time but they were rarely discussed -- and very rare. Now's it's a lot more open.
I'm not saying it's bad or good. Cause I really don't know. I just wonder if this generation will treat sex as very inpersonal. And if so, I wonder what effect readily accessable porn is having.
