| Sense of humor?. Let's talk about it. Posted: 6/27/2008 2:46:23 PM | VeronicaAllison: I think you are right. It was some sort of test. That's how he determines if you are going to put up with constant put downs or not. He feels insecure because he is short and even when I made no comments about it, neither does it bother me, that is how he makes sure he is with the right person for him (a floor mat). If one does take it well then she is a keeper to him.
I have met guys like that before, they joke about everything, not just my ethnic look or my height and observe to see if I get irritated of just brush it off.
Who wants to be with someone who constantly tries to put you down? I mean teasing is fine when you are with friends and is back and forth but to meet someone and do that it's just odd.
" the true test would be to go out a few more times and see if any thing changes..."
I ain't going back for more of that!!!
My test is: He doesn't know what is offensive to me, he says something it is. I let him know . He apologizes. I said OK, no problem, we move on.
BUT
Not only he didn't apologize but turn it around and say I'm too sensitive or too serious etc. That to me is a sign he doesn't hear, see or care what bothers me EVEN when I'm telling him what it is. So, NO, MORE dates for me with that guy, for sure.
Gracias!
