Ahhhhhhhhm Kharma, Kharma, Kharma Bro, good lord, I hear ya, ya, I can understand WHY, ya don't wanna have to cheer for them, Chicken, YOU KNOW WHAT.

A team, that has changed their name at least twice, and been in and out of the CFL, at least once, maybe twice, and also, a team, that USED, to be calle the Baltimore CFLers, before coming back to Canada.

Anyhow, ya, too bad, that the Riders lost that one against the Lions.

Well, I tell ya bro, IF, the Chicken, YOU KNOW WHAT'S don't, then Bombers will gladly oblige, by beating the living CRAP, out of them Esks.

Ya remember that game, a wile back, against Bombers and Esks, and te Esks, THOUGHT they had Bombers beat, all except for the lat play of the game, when Glenn went to Stegal, and Stegal took it in for a TD, to give Bombers the WIN, with NO TIME, left on the clock.

LOL LOL LOL WHAT a surprise that day, and talk about surprizes, did ya see the look on the Esks head coaches face, now THAT, was priceless.

That, was all too funny, really, ALL to funny.

Well, time to bring the Esks, to Winnipeg, so Bombers can drop the BOMB, on the Esks, head, BLAST it wide open, and maybe drop a little bit of fallout on the Esks head, for a little extra effects. Just to let the Esks know, that they are playing in Bomberville, instead of Edmonchuck.

Oh, man, things are slowly coming together for Bombers, now to keep going and NOT, peak too soon.

On the upside to that, bro, didn;t Riders and Bombers, pget to play in the Banjo Bowl Grey Cup last year, by beating out the Lions and the Chicken YOU KNOW WHAT, in the West and East divisions, first.

That would be, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, soooooooooooooooooo, cool, to see the return of the good ole, Banjo Bowl 2 Grey Cup Rivalry once again, between Riders and Bombers.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, man, that would be sooooooooooooooooooooo, very cool.

Bring it on, I say, bring it RIGHT ON.

Let them good ole PRAIRIE BOYS, battle it out again, in the Grey Cup. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby.

Ta H E L L, with them over grown Puddy Tats, and them Chicken, YOU KNOW WHATS, BOTH of them, can EAT CROW, till the COWS come home, don't ya know.

In fct, I was reading, that Tillman, suggested tat it will be the second place teams will advance to the Grey Cup, translated, Riders and Bombers, in the Grey Cup once again.

...40-4... ... ..Another convincing win by the "Larks", for those who don't know what an Alouette is.

Even if the Bombers sqeak into second place, I don't like their chances against any of the 4th place team in the West, considering first and last place is separated by only 2 points.

The Als might even throw a game against the Argos, allowing them a much-needed 2 points....

I wonder if the second place team in the East has to go West to play the first playoff game. That would be a kick in the arse !!

Its a Lark? A LARK? An alouete is a lark? That probably would have been a good name for their sissy baseball team.....but a foot ball team

Lets see:
Lions ...Grrr Roar!
Eskimos...well maybe they should be the The Edmonton Inuit....but they should at least know how to play tough when its cold.
Stampeders....the sound of hooves stirring up dust on the open prairie
Rough Riders....Need I say anymore...such a good name Ottawa wanted it too.
Bombers....EXPLODE!!
Argonauts....Adventuist and brave....actually more like crazy...probably smokin somethin funny with some of their tales of Sirens and Cyclopses
Tiger-Cats...ditto above "Lions"
Renagades....a fierce rebellious lot!
and
then
Alouttes....tweet tweet!!

Ok but thank you Montreal for thrashing the Eskimos....wonderfully keeping them out of a tied spot for First in the West.....

Now Bombers....they have been softened up substantially, but those buggers are going to be lookin for someone to chew on next week......no need to be over confident.....but they are vulnerable...go get them!

^^^^Kharma, Kharma, Kharma, your all too funny, there bro, thank you for the good hearty laughs, dude.

Hey sey, bro, have ya ever thought of being a stand up comedian?

Seriously, bro, sounds like you would do a heck of a great job.

And ya know what, I say, bring on them, Edmonton Inuit., they call the Eskimos, that is if they can find the key, to unlock the locks on their forzen igloo doors, to come out and play football with Bombers.

Ahhh, it is going to get interesting, from here on in, bro, and will soon see, how things workout in the end of it all, ya know, bro.

Oh, my gawd, thats so funny, however bro, it sounds like you are doing a pretty good job standing up on your own, so I am not going to touch that one, not at all, however, I will let you to decide that one for yourself tho.

When and where is your next stand up comedy show in Winnipeg?????????

Especially, since you have got a good start on it, and doing so well at your expertise, of stand up comedy.

I know, how about a half time show, at Bombers next home game, against the Eskies?

Ya just may give them Bombers something to think about, of how they can beat the Eskies, of picking the Eskies team apart, of being that 13th person, as a stand up comedian.

Now, THAT, would be cool.

Maybe something like, why do the Eskies, run, and hide, locking themselves, in behind their igloo door???????

Because, it is so much easier to face, the blowing, northern winter conditions then getting bombed to pieces by Bombers.

Ayyyyyyyyyy, blow that damn friggin igloo clear out of Canad Inns Stadium, with the Eskies inside it.

So now, Goons From Maroons, is Bombers new nickname, well, well, here is a take on it from the Free Press.

'Goons from Maroons?'
That's just one of 650 suggested monickers for Blue D-Line

By: Ed Tait

Updated: September 26 at 08:46 AM CDT

It seemed like a good idea at the time. It really, really, truly, honestly did.

Back in early July -- when optimism still ruled around these parts despite an 0-2 start -- we trotted out a story suggesting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive line was not only arguably the best in the entire Canadian Football League, but in the team's 78 years of existence.

As an aside, we also asked Free Press readers to submit nickname possibilities for this fearsome foursome. And man oh man did people gobble up the chance to play along, what with the newspaper being flooded with 350 e-mails and letters with over 650 suggestions.

Hey, look, we still stand by the premise of the piece, especially given Tom Canada's 41 career sacks is tied for third all time, Gavin Walls is fifth and Doug Brown sixth. And Jerome Haywood, who is in just his second year here, continues to do his wrecking-ball thing from the interior.

But who knew that 0-2 start would turn into 0-4 and 2-7 at the midway point of the season? Who knew Canada would be traded one day only to have the deal get spiked after his spleen went bad? Or that Cam Wake of the B.C. Lions would have as many sacks -- 15 -- as Brown, Canada, Walls and Haywood combined?

Now, initially the plan was to compile all the different nickname suggestions and take them to the four defensive linemen and have them pick a winner. But as the losses piled up the D-line wanted no part of anything that smacked of chest thumping.

That said, while our timing may suck we hate to see a good idea die on the vine -- especially since so many fans have been pestering us to run the contest regardless and because, frankly, we're still looking for ways to slap more lipstick on a 4-8 season.

But when we went back to Brown to get his take, he began backing away as if we were sporting a vest packed with dynamite.

"Do we have to do this now? Can we at least wait until after this game?" said Brown Thursday as the Bombers completed final preparations for tonight's tilt with the Edmonton Eskimos. "Even (Bomber boss man) Lyle (Bauer) brought it up when we were talking about this contest when we were 0-4... to me, all this stuff should happen in the off-season.

"Look, let me tell you something: football is a game where, the minute you start thinking about yourself or how good you are, that's when you get it handed to you on the field. It's a game where you start at nothing every week. You may have had an 'A' in the last game, but guess what, you don't carry that grade over into the next contest. You start over and you have to establish yourself every game.

"The minute you come out and think you don't have anything to prove, that's when it all falls apart."

We hear ya. And we certainly understand your thinking, Mr. Brown.

But we are going to soldier on, nonetheless -- albeit with a twist.

The plan now is to take our collection of possible nicknames and apply it to the entire Bomber defence, not just the front four. This whole crew has been decent for much of the season and it makes more sense to hang a new moniker on them rather than just the defensive line.

One more thing: we won't be asking the men themselves to vote, but a panel of observers and one nickname 'expert' -- Milt Stegall -- to select from the submissions before we unveil the winning entry.

"I just hope," Brown said while cringing, "that this doesn't jinx us -- again."

Frankly we place too much on Defensive lineman.

"0h wow! see all the sacks!" Oh wow ! They'bombed' the opposition"

In the NFL an "O" lineman can be paid as much as some Q-backs. Why? Because they deserve it!

Here's the thing with Ricky Ray Ramone! He is so fast and accurate with his passing that the Defensive line will likely play little part in the game....mind you Edmonton has the same probelm Winnipeg has....a less than adequate and consistent 'O" line...

This game will be won by the team that has prepared and pumped sufficient steriods into ther "O" line!....Seriously, if Glenn is given better protection than Ray....Winnipeg wins! end of story...no jokes at half time included !

But I like the name " THE TRENCHMEN!"

Well, Kharma, Bombers are just going to have to go out, and play solid football, the DB's are going to have to cover the Eskies receivers, and the offence, run the breath out of Ray, he maybe quick, but, when ya got a pack of wolves out after ya, how far, and how long can ya go, before, time runs out against ya.

And if Brown, ever gets his hands on Ray, then Ray, IS, a COOKED GOOSE.

When ya got a guy, as big as Doug Brown, of 6'8", and 300 pounds plus, coming at ya, ya better hope that Ray can slip by Doug, or, get to the safety of the sidelines first, before Doug gets him, otherwise, Ray is going down, REAL hard like.

If I was Ray, I wouldn't be messing with a guy, such as Doug Brown, otherwise, if Ray does, then, then can you say, CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH.

Cover the receivers, and get Ray, running for his LIFE, because, it is pretty hard to be completely accurate, when you are running for your life.

GO GET EM BOMBERS, and make em PAY.

Time for Bombers to up their game, to, 5 and 8, and go after sole posession of second place, while leaving the Agos far behind in Bombers dust, for the Argos to choke on.

COUGH, COUGH, CHOKE, CHOKE.

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgoooooooooooooooooos.

One mission down, and three more missions to go, now, GO GETEM, BOMBERS.

*But what do you think about Doug Berry?*

What do I think about Doug Berry, well, I hope that he has learned his lesson as a head coach, to shut his BIG FAT TRAP, for once, just sit on the sidelines, and stay out of his players heads, and allow his players, to play the game, they way THEY, know how to, instead of always interfering with them.

It also, seems like since Kevin Glenn has NOW, been calling his own shots, Bombers have also been WINNING from the offensive prospective, and with that, the defense has also, been picking up the slack as well, so, I would say that Bombers are now, firing on ALL 8 cylinders, instead of 4 or 6.

If Berry can continue, to contain himself, and allow his players to play the game, that they KNOW, they can play, then Bombers should beable to continue, to succeed in WINNING.

And what will at least save Berry's A S S, from being CANNED, is, Bombers getting to the Grey Cup, and WINNING it.

And I HOPE, that Berry realizes that, RIGHT NOW. As the saying goes, I guess better late, then never, just just hope that it is not TOO LATE.

Bombers are starting to come together now, AS A TEAM, and their spirits are starting to climb back up, and they seems like a much, MUCH more happier group, then before, when Berry was firing his BIG YAP off. So, therefore, Bombers are starting to play more like Grey Cup contenders.

And this nickname of "Goons From Maroons", is very fitting, now, for them, to get in and SWARM, the oppositions QB, the "BLITZ", when need be, and the DB's, are ready to follow suit, so the ONLY way, the oppositions QB, has any chance of gaining ANY yardage, is then HE, is going to have to run for his LIFE, especially, if he has got a pack of HUNGRY WOLVES, on his trail.

And HE, better RUN HARD, if he has got mamoth Doug Brown, tracking him down, like a bloodhound. Because, Brown is onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne, big dude, at 6'8", and 300 pounds plus.

Brown is like another Chris Walby, but on defense, however, tho, Brown is not quite, as ferosious as Walby. Walby, and former Bomber Brett McNeill, those two are like pitbulls, on steroids, where as, Brown, is more like oyur GENTLE GIANT.

Another words, with Walby, and McNeill, is goes something like this, YOU touch my QB, and you DIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE, MF.

Why, do you think Khari, had such a good year, that year, with McNeill on offence?

Because, McNeill protected his QB, Khari, like delicate china.

Anyhow, I hope that Berry continues, to shut his BIG TRAP, for not only his sake, but, for also, the players, and for the whole Bombers teams sake.

Andand if so, then Berry, just may find himself rewarded with, guiding Bombers to a Grey Cup WIN, come November.

And lets JUST HOPE, that Berry learns from this, SHOULD Bombers WIN, the Grey Cup, THIS YEAR, and NOT, next year, because next year would be TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, late.

Ok, "Goons From Maroons", GO GET EM, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW.

Game time soon, time to BLAST that igloo, CLEAR OUT of Canad Inns Stadium, and for Bombers to continue on the WINNING ways, by going 5 and 8.

Heyla, heyla, the "GOONS", from Maroons, got themselves yet, ANOTHER WIN.

30-23 over the igloo people, and NOW, 5 and 8 way to go, Bombers, way to go, NOW, to keep her going.

BRING ALL on, ALL, the rest of them, even the Chicken FRS, bring em on, and STEAM ROLL, them ALL.

I wonder who it will be, that will cross over from the west, to play Bombers in the east??????

Don't matter, BRING EM on.

Well, Kharma, whatch think, bro. Whatcha prediction for Bombers next game, against the same Igloo people, from Edmonchuck, but, this time, in the igloo, at Edmonchuck??????

Another BIG WIN, for Bombers???????

I think so, now that Bombers are on a ROLL.

WHOOPIE!!!

The Bombers can finally spend a week breathing a little....they only need to win 2 of their next 5 from my guess....AND ONE IS A MUST WIN against the Argos!

If Berry allows the team to play this way that might be enough.

And Dakota you called it well my friend.....Brownie and Ray were at it all night.

But the other stuff near the end......all I can say is B-U-L-L excrement !! Whats with these ref's as well. ....I guess rules are rules BUT that Edmonton Bean.eater or whatever his name that dove his helmet into Glenn's, should be tossed from the league.....talk about CHEAP SHOT!! Yet the Bombers get more penality yards...Thats just not fair no matter who you cheer for. Then some anal hole pulls off one of our players helmet right off on a Knee Touch....and its the Bomber player that gets thrown out of the game!

Edmonton did not deserve to win ...yet almost did.....

Why?...isn't it ironic ?...it still has something to do with a kicker!!

So the question gets shot out "What do you think of Berry now?" Well guess what my friends.....things are full cirlce once more....in one word "WESTWOOD".

I have seen Berry appear to be making better choices....but he is still suffering from the STUPIDITY at the beginning of this year. When asked immediately after the game what he thinks of Serna missing 3 non-impossible Field goals...his now becoming all to infamous words...." I don't know! I am just like you and just saw it happen!"

Well fella YOU do know whats wrong...its your business and if WE can see whats wrong YOU must as well. You threw a kid into a man's role ...you keep backing up a bad decision you made....Berry! I suggest , crawl on your belly....get Westwood back, ...even in a coaching capacity....but somehow make amends for your bad decision.

On a lighter note.....Did I really see a Pass Play to Oster Hoser ?? This team really is gettin creative and mixin it up.

It was a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrear game, bro, and Bombers won, however, ya, there were a few penanlties, and one of them, Bombers should of never been called on, or had one of their players thrown out. he guy, that had butted Glenn with his helmut, should of been shot out of there.

Oh well, main thing is, Bombers won the game, and that is what they really needed, and GOT.

As for Berry, geez, well, at least HE, starting to make some intellegent decisions, instead of BONEHEAD ones, like he did earlier this year.

And I totally agree with you Kharma, that Berry SHOULD, go crawling on his knees, begging to get OUR MAIN MAN, "THE TROY" back, instead of making excuses for Serenna all the time. Good lord, short yardage field goals, and he missed ALL of them.

Those field goals, would be just an easy chipshot, for good ole Troy.

I heard that the boo birds came out on all of those missed field goals, by Serrena.

Well, Kharma, have you heard of the song, by Ghostbusters, of who you gonna call?

If so, then the next time(s) that Serrena, misses these important field goals, the boo birds should maybe chant, LOUD AND CLEAR, "Who you gonna call? "TROY WESTWOOD", who can ya call? "TROY WESTWOOD", and BLAST that in Berry's ear enough times, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, Berry will go crawling on his hands and knees, begging Troy to come back .

I KNEW, it was a MAJOR, BIG MISTAKE, of letting good ole LEFY go, and I knew that right from the get go, in the begining of the season.

So, time to get on Berry with that, and GO GET, goold ole LEFY, and aMAKE AMENDS with LEFTY.

Other then that, Kharma, good thoughts on the whole game, now to take a breather, and then, take the "GOONS From Maroons" to Edmonchuck, and do a MAJOR MELT DOWN, on the igloo people. by Bombers pulling off, yet, another WIN, and going 6 and 8.

Oh, what would be really cool is, Glenn and Stegal, tagged up with a minute left to go in the game, and Bombers got a last minute TD to win the game. Just like they did about two years ago, when Glenn went to Stegal, and Stegal, got out in the open, and ran it in, for the winning TD.

That would be, REALLY SWEET, to pull another one like that, on the igloo people.

Could you imagine the looks, of surprise, and shock, on the igloo peoples faces.

Ok, "GOONS From Maroons", GO GET THEM igloo people, and MELT THEM DOWN, while they squatting in their igloos.

TURN UP THE HEAT, and MELT those igloos down, into water.

You know if you were a true blue fan you'd know that it's Stegall and not Stegal, and it's Sena, not Serrena.
And maybe instead of begging for Westwood to come back they could do something even better and find a decent kicker? Because Westwood wasn't all that great either.

NOPE, I would still would want to being back good ole LEFTY, at least he has proven his worth, especially with all the years of experience that he has got, and this three that Serena had missed, those would be just chipshots for Troy.

And if Troy is sooooooo bad, as you had claimed, then how come Troy had set so many records, and if it was not for Troy, there would be no suhc thing, as the
Banjo Bowl.

Troy, has done a lot of good, for Bombers over the years, and to chuck out that kind of experience, and not have someone readily available, to take his place, that is NOT as GOOD, is asking for trouble, and pure stupidity, on Berry's part.

So, no, bring back good ole LEFTY, if they can.

As for Stegal, and at 38, the old guy, is still able to rack up the receptions, beating out ALLTIME receiver, Allan Pitts, Stegal, at 38, is pretty darned har to beat, if at all.

And as for being a TRUE BLUE, Bombers fan, I can go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, back, and recall one of the greatest coaches Bombers ever had, with The Old Grey Fox, Bud Grant, who, guided Bombers to 4 out of 5 Grey Cup WINS, before he headed soth, to coach the Minnesota Vikings. During Grants, rein with Bombers, he had a QB, that helped Bombers win those 4 Grey Cups, and that was, Kenny Ploen.

Few other Bomber greats, there was Frank Rigney, Leo Lewis, for example. And the guy, that called the play by plays for Bombers home games, from CJOB, was Mr. Call For A Blue Cactus Jack Wells. One of the great all time sports reporters, who used to write for the then, Winnipeg Tribune, was, Jim Taylor.

And the stadium, where before Bombers use to play at, which they also, used to be called, the Pegs if memory serves me correctly, andyhow the stadium, that they used to play atm before the one on Maroons Road was at the old site, where the Great West Life Building is now, on Osbourne Street, not far from The Bay downtown, on Memorial Blvd., and Portage Avenue.

Also, Bombers change their name ONCE, only, and that is when they were called the Peg's, back in 1935, which was the first team in the western cnverence, to bring the first Grey Cup to the west, and in 1936, they changed the name from the Pegs to the Blue Bombers. And where did they get that name, from a boxer, that was named the Brown Bomber.

So, nor a TRUE BLUE fan, am I, better guess again.

And to take it even further, I was born, and raised in Winnipeg, and Manitoba, for 20 years, before, moving out to the coast, over 30 years ago. T he last school, that I had atteneded back there, is called R.B. Russell Vocationa School School, on364 Dufferin Avenue, just over, what used to be called the Salter Street Bridge .

And my brother used to go to the University Of Manitoba, eventually, after graduating, he had taken a job with INCO, International Nickel Company, up in Thompson.

And did I go to any Bomber home games, when I was living back there? You bet I did.

And I can also, remember, when the stadium right now, used to be called Winnipeg Football Stadium, before it was called Canad Inns Stadium, And they used to have the natural turf, before, the artificial turf. One of the Bomber QB's that used to play for Bombers a loooooooooooong, time ago, that came from the University Of Manitoba Bisons, is, Bob Toogood.

So, I think that you had better guess again, if you think I am not a TRUE BLUE Bombers fan.

Other then that, now, that Bombers are back on the WINNING TRACK, time to carry them over, and yes, bring back good ole LEFTY, because, this young buck Serena, is sure not doing the job, especially, since the boo birds keep coming out, it is probably, that Berry, swallows his pride, and brings back, Troy, and has Troy, on the team, instead of trying to rely on this Serena, who keeps mssing, field goals, that are ONLY, chipshots for Troy.

Well, bro, whatcha think, Kharma, time to being back, good ole LEFTY, and let Troy, show this young buck, Serena of how it is done????????

Because, when Bombers get back to the Grey Cup again they want a guy, that they can rely on, to at least, give Bombers a better chance of WINNING the Grey Cup, then what Serena, can provide.

Three missed field goals, and three in a row!!!!!!!!! Good lord, good thing that the Kevin Glenn, and the offence, and all their receivers, including Milt (The Turtleman Stegal) and the Bombers defence got them the WIN, against the igloo people.

If they had to leave that up to Serena, it would of been a loss for sure, and Bombers would now be, 4 and 9, instead of 5 and 8.

NOPE, this Serena, has got a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong ways to go, to match good ole LEFTY.

If you're such a good fan then, why can't you spell any of the players names? Having all these memories of football stuff from a million years ago doesn't make you a fan if you ask me.

You know if you were a true blue fan you'd know that it's Stegall and not Stegal, and it's Sena, not Serrena.
And maybe instead of begging for Westwood to come back they could do something even better and find a decent kicker? Because Westwood wasn't all that great either.

LOL it is not Serrena, nor is it Sena.....It is Serna. If your going to knock someone for spelling make sure you get it right!

Actually knowing the history of a team does make you a fan.

So new fans and old fans....Can't we all just get a long!

Ah geez Daaa KOTA ! And what brand of toilet paper do you use? Did you say its "blue" too?
Alright already.....you are a fan!!!

As far as spelling goes....you should realize that being so close to the inbred banjo pickers of Saskatchewan will rub off on its neighbors.lol!!

besides wpggal....I often puposely misspell names for humor and attention...(just wanna see if daaaaKOTA is paying attention)
.....besides give him break......the guy writes whole essays each time he posts....WITHOUT SPELL CHECK.....which takes considerable time.

NOW!! My apologies to chavezSherriff.....it appears your birdees have a little more bite than my tough old Riders were prepared for. Or maybe its the kharma of bringing in a Q'back from the land of blue jays and perpetually falling maple leaves and a sinking ship of boatmen.

Which reminds me to respond to DaaaaaKOTA's comment about bringing Troy back. I should clarify, that at this stage I am not too sure I would want to see Troy thrown back on the roster as both a place kicker and punter....BUT, I think it was "bad kharma" to cut him and then ignore his many years of contributions to the team. Until that is addressed I think it maybe a long time before Winnipeg gets a great kicker.....its kharma..
