| The Moon Posted: 10/6/2009 8:19:46 AM | First Landing
In a starscape of fireflies, on the highest limb of my backyard apple tree, I perched, eleven years young, while Apollo waltzed with the Moon to the music of crickets.
In a late summer field of lost butterflies, on my patchwork blanket in a crowd of stained-glass children, I lay, twelve years old, gazing up at the Moon in Yasgur’s sky, tracing the dance steps left behind in the dust.

| The Moon Posted: 10/6/2009 7:19:18 PM | Two souls as one Tonight take flight
The pinnacle of love Arranged simply
Wildflowers Gathered and strewn
Across miles of star fed seas And harvest moons
A sheaf of wheat Painted in the corner of my eye
To protect what’s left Of ardent love
And autumn splendour The beginning
Where lovers go
Spreading their seeds Of candled inspiration
The flame eternal. | |

| The Moon Posted: 10/8/2009 9:56:43 PM | I loved the haiku ommie.
Morning crests the sky as a bird of prey silently hunting for breakfast
she lets down her hair our lady moon and in the blink of an eye
a bomb will go off on her pole sending answers off into space I'm not sure it's a good idea
playing again with mother nature blowing things up for fun I prefer her antiquity.

"The full moon is glowing glowing and growing the full moon is glowing down on me mother, shine on me a child I will always be mother, carry me back to the sea"
~who knows. | |

| The Moon Posted: 11/3/2009 9:39:07 PM | 'the river is flowing flowing and growing the river is flowing back to the sea....
mother earth carry me a child I will always be mother earth carry me back to the sea.....
the river is flowing flowing and growing the river is flowing back to the sea.....'
so much like mntnwldflower's post above, these are the words of a song sung in repetition, almost as a chant, that I have known and sung for many years.... and like you, mountain wildflower, the author is unknown to me

| The Moon Posted: 11/3/2009 10:21:09 PM | "There is a woman, who weaves the night sky see how she spins, watch her fingers fly she is the beginning, she is the end she is the weaver, and we are the web she changes, everything she touches, everything she touches, changes"
WeAre1 You are the water after a drought. Thank you...

| The Moon Posted: 11/4/2009 9:35:30 AM | talking to the moon (sheer lunacy) I get no answers but watching it fills me in on the tide and when to reap and sow the man in the moon laughs and then I know | |

| The Moon Posted: 11/4/2009 9:45:34 AM | the shadow of the moon draped across his eyes I felt calm in the embrace of eyes shining no visible cue the snow saw everything | |

| The Moon Posted: 11/5/2009 4:27:53 AM | "spiral down to the center center of the wheel....
we are the weavers we are the woven ones we are the weavers we are the web.....
spiral down to the center center of the wheel....
we are the weavers we are the woven ones we are the weavers we are the web....."
and on...and on....and on... autumn, apologies this one also did not have the moon spoken in it, but offering it as a sort of footnote to mntnflowers's last post above where I again know a variation of her post, but sung in repetition.... (btw, we're all a refreshing rain on a hot day!)
returning to the moon, here is a last line, 8 line I wrote (except for the first line:) a couple of days ago...
together we could light up the darkest sky like the full moon glowing so bright tonight even with clouds its light prevails as if floating behind a thousand veils....
imagine us flying on her lunar sails or we could be equally swimming in sea so free to be whatever we wish imagine us underwater now we are fish....
