I as far as i know will be travelling alone and poss on thursday or very early friday, If i can offer transport or just carry somebodys gear etc please give me a shout. | |

BIG HELLO TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE RECENTLY SIGNED UP.
Can I just stress that this is the AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND and the site does get really full this weekend
We have contacted Shell to see if we can book but unfortunately it was a big NO.
For those of you who are taking the Friday off work then it might be an idea for you to drive over on the Thursday night wherever possible.
Or for those of you who are off all week well why not just come down whenever. Im probably going to be there from the Wednesday, may as well, im off so why not. 
Anyone who is going to be going before the Friday send me a message to my profile and we can arrange meeting up etc and exchange phone numbers.
When I know where we will all be pitched I will be in touch with one of the other hosts on the Wednesday evening and get them to put a post on here so you know where to look for us.
Can everyone who is going make sure you contact one of us to ensure you have got the mobile number of at least one of the hosts so you can ring us when you get there if lost..............ermmm maybe not Lily as she will be in work! | |

Ive started work on my costumes, decided im doing the cowgirl one myself, ebay didnt have much to offer, anyone got a spare lasso???? Lily? Puddles?  | |

Posted: 8/4/2008 6:25:34 PM | | Ok myself and a fellow POF'er who is also a close friend will be attending from the Thursday night with out three kids (inclusive) and standard poodle(very very friendly). Have followed these camping meets with interest. Only reservation we have is that the tent we will be using is a 12 berth Hartford xxl. When looking on Shell Island website they don't seem to have a 'size' restriction. Do you think, you seasoned campers, that this will be a problem? I would think paying extra for bigger tent will still be cheaper than buying new smaller tent, wouldn't you? Would someone message me re: mobile numbers so that we camp in the right place on the thursday?. Really looking forward to a great 'outdoor' fun family experience! Looking forward to meeting loads of new people too x | |

I cannot help Kissy, this tribe is Indians not cowgirls! (Also because of the lack of cowgirl on e-bay)

Our tent is a Kango 10 berth and has a HUGE living area too, and we have not ever had a problem no size restriction.
The only tent restriction is that someone must be sleeping in it! | |

Will purchase a tent nearer the time when I know I am definately coming.
Hope I don't have any erection problems.
Will be bringing camera and camcorder so if any of you would rather not be filmed for posterity a fiver slipped into the hand usually works. 
Am wondering if my bum would look toooo big in a grass skirt tho.

Just thought I'd pop on and check out the forum as I havent been on for ageeessssss.
Me and the kids will be arriving sometime on tuesday the 19th all being well, ( oh and Buddy of course) all really excited, i'm just glad they are at there dads the week before not sure I can cope with to much more of there excitement!!!!! Really looking forward to hooking up with you all, those from the first camp and those I've yet to meet.

I do have now - surplus to requirements - One Man Sized grass skirt with arm and leg bands - in real grass (well raffia) and one cowboy outfit complete with shiny leather Indiana Jones style hat ! What a waste ! | |
