| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 7:11:05 AM | | The gallup poll taken on yesterday had McCain and Obama 45/45. It changes everyday and depends on the poll. | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 7:21:50 AM | | ^^ That's the truth, the polls yesterday had Obama ahead by like 12 points. I guess if and when we ever see a debate we can maybe put some trust in those numbers. | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 11:16:13 AM | Yeah I saw the new numbers on CNN last night. He commented the same way. We will see in the end. Today the numbers have probably changed again. | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 11:24:27 AM | Lar;
McSame's WHOLE platform is a flip flop from EVERYTHING he has ever stood for.
Obama is not an amature, he is bright, eloquent and charismatic. Something we have lacked for 8 years now. | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 8:37:13 PM | Will this turn the tide for McCain?
McCain backs gun decision, Obama straddles issue By LIZ SIDOTI (Associated Press Writer) From Associated Press June 26, 2008 8:31 PM EDT WASHINGTON - John McCain welcomed a Supreme Court decision invalidating a District of Columbia handgun ban. Barack Obama sought to straddle the subject by saying he favors an individual's right to bear firearms as well as a government's right to regulate them.
The hotly contentious issue surfaced in the presidential campaign Thursday after the Supreme Court ruled that Americans have a constitutional right to own guns and struck down the city's thirty-two-year-old ban.
McCain, the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting, heralded the justices' action as "a landmark victory for Second Amendment freedom." | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/26/2008 10:04:20 PM | McCain has several issues going for him right now - his view on the 2nd amendment and drilling for oil are two recent issues that he's on the right side of and will benefit greatly from.
It will take awhile for America to get to know Obama's views - but as they do they will turn in droves to McCain. | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/27/2008 1:23:17 AM | McSame will be lucky to win AZ.
Did anyone see the DJIA today.
Republicans are sooooooo ignorant. They vote for tax breaks for the wealthy, then, with the concentration of wealth that happens, the stock market tanks. . . Talk about biting the hand that feeds them. Do they miss the Clinton days at all? A 370% increase in 8 years, as opposed to the 7% increase under bush thus far. . .
My Guess is your 401K isn't doing all that well. | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/27/2008 8:06:56 AM | | As an update, latest polls show Obama and McCain neck and neck, meaning that Obama lost the slight bump he got after he "won" the nomination. More importantly. McCain continues to hold a strong lead in the swing states that Obama needs to win, states that Hillary was competitive in, like Missouri and Florida. It isn't the basic math that counts...it's the map! | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/27/2008 11:31:51 AM | Yep, Gallup... one of the longest running polls has McCain and Obama even... not a hair apart. And, McCain leading in the swing states.
Other polls have Obama ahead... by double digits (as they like to keep saying). Of course, those polls are lead by...get this... the likes of The LA Times, etc. which are the polls being touted by sources i.e. MSNBC and other Left leaning News outlets. It's becoming a real joke. Many of these 'biased' will lose face after this election. Not that they care as long as their Obamamanics are keeping their guy in the news. Sad... very sad...that they feel the need to go to these extremes. | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/27/2008 8:18:59 PM | President Bush lied, manipulated and fabricated information in order to get us involved in a no end war in Iraq that's the bottom line, he should be tried and if found guilty sent to prison
I can't wait to see Barrack Obama win the presidential election what a great day for America and Americans and the free world , it's no surprise that he showing good in the polls, It's nice that Senator Mc Cain is stepping up to provide a worthy opponent for Senator Obama | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 6/29/2008 9:08:03 PM | He is still in the lead, but now McCain has met with Farwell. How will this effect things? | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/5/2008 3:57:07 PM | What is the difference between a Liberal Elitist and a Wealthy Republican?
There seems to be far more wealthy Republicans that just benefit from the govt. At least liberals want to help the middle class succeed and get good paying jobs. I don't think the Republicans are interested in helping the middle class earn better wages. | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/5/2008 5:16:09 PM | All I can say is GO OBAMA GO....Canada is behind you all the way! | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/5/2008 9:40:08 PM | | Just another episode in the dog and pony show that keeps people from realizing what's really going on Iraq, Iran and Israel. have any of you wondered why the olympics occur in the same year as the elections ? It's to keep you occupied in a different way so you won't realize how badly you are being screwed by the government as you watch hard bodies on TV. | |
|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/5/2008 9:49:53 PM | Exodus is right about the stock market performing WAY better under President Clinton than GWB. I read an article about some of the individual donors who are supporting Obama. Some of them include stockbrokers and people in the financial industry. That doesn't surprise me--they want to be able to make a good living again--just like everyone else who has been hit by the Bush years. I would definitely go with a Democratic-leaning broker because the broker would have a better grasp of financial history. The stock market has historically performed FAR better under total Democratic control than either mixed or Republicn control. Democratic fiscal policy allows everyone to do well, not just a few rich cronies.
GO OBAMA!!!! | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/6/2008 5:22:08 PM | Will this new ad hurt Obama?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Republican Party ad assails Obama on energy By The Associated Press From Associated Press July 06, 2008 11:55 AM EDT TITLE: "Balance."
LENGTH: 30 seconds.
AIRING: Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
SCRIPT: Announcer: "Record gas prices. A climate in crisis. John McCain says solve it now with a balanced plan: Alternative energy, conservation, suspending the gas tax, and more production here at home. He's pushing his own party to face climate change. But Barack Obama? For conservation, but he just says no to lower gas taxes, no to nuclear, no to more production. No new solutions. Barack Obama: Just the party line. The Republican National Committee is responsible for the content of this advertising."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or should they have just discussed what they were proposing to do for energy?

|
| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/6/2008 5:39:39 PM | Suspending the gas tax???!! That's just a bunch of hooey for gullible people to fall for the Republican trap of lies and ideas that don't work | |

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/6/2008 5:57:23 PM |
What that poll done by the same company that had Kerry ahead of Bush in the exit polling in the last general election?
The exit polls were highly accurate in the 39 states that were not generally considered to be battleground states. In the 11 battleground states, Bush's official vote was greater than the predicted vote in 10 of them and equal to the predicted vote (to the nearest 0.1%) in the remaining battleground state.
According to one review of these numbers, the likelihood of state exit polls being as wrong as they supposedly were in just three states (FL, OH and PA) were 662,000 to one. The odds of all 10 being as wrong as they were are astronomical.
If that happened in the Ukraine, American observers would be calling for a new election.

| Wow. Obama leads McCane Posted: 7/6/2008 6:53:27 PM | exodusi1, "Gore WON Florida by well over 20,000 votes" there is no study done by any unbiased organization which has ever come to any other conclusion than Gore would have lost no matter how many times the votes were counted.
As for polling, I suggest that everyone try realclearpolitics.com for election data. Best site I have ever found for calling politcal races up and down the ticket. | |
