Maybe you better email her, she's been really busy helping karesse plan a big party for tomorrow night downstate. I bet it's slipped her mind.
FYI...we are having the picnic at veterans park in bay city...Veterans...there's two parks, don't confuse it with wenona, and it cost a buck to get in

Kelly...the only one coming from anywhere near the west is lilbit but she is southwest of you, it would be way out of her way and she's staying overnight here with lighthouse so it wouldn't work out that way either. | |

I-75 north to bay city exit at I-10 intersection. This becomes a 3 lane one way East into the west side (vets park side). Park anywhere after the 1st traffic light and before the 3rd. Unless you get in early am it is hard to get past the 2nd traffic light. Park on a side street left of the one way for an entrance nearer this group.
Follow the crowd after that to the park, kinda like when the Mardi Gras parade ends and the crowd sucks you onto Bourbon Street.
The third traffic light after you get in town is Henry which runs north and south (pretty much walking only area after 5 pm), there are entrances either way on henry from Midland street 5 blocks North to about . Once you get in Vets Park work your way north of the Carnival towards the Hooters on the river and you should find this crew.
When its over the crowd will suck you out of the park either to Midland street or to your parking spot. Plan on 1 to 3 hours traffic crawl before or after the fireworks or after Midland street closes depending on the crowd, check your fanbelts! Seeing most people have Sunday off this year it will be a doozy.
I will try to stop by, but I haven't gone into the park for years. I hang on the deck of a pub on Henry 3 blocks north of vets bridge right where they launch. Had that seat for 20 years. Cant seem to give it up. | |

Of course nothing of nothing is still nothing, but somehow out of that you come out ahead! I think? Not sure, still hungover from the Boogie Fever event and in agony because of sunburn from sitting by the pool all day. Such a rough life.
Speaking of... Linda the Boogie Fever event is now the standard for a fun time with POF!!! I can't remember the last time I danced so much with so many strangers and had SO much fun. You all know how throw a party! I'm jealous I don't live closer. | |

Posted: 6/29/2008 6:27:14 PM | So far planning on stopping by. Waiting for Monday to check in with a friend that lives next to vets park to see about a place to crash and\or park.
He is single but doesn't do computer dating sites (that I know about) so I am going to try and get him to take a walk to vets and stop by. You guys can tell him where he is if I get him there.
If I know for sure I can be there early enough to stop by I will sign up. Or if I run late I will look for the lime green on Midland street after the fireworks. | |
