For those who believe in God?

Jesus the Christ during the Last Supper said

"I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." Matthew 26:29 (NIV)

So, Jesus certainly believed that there would be eating in Heaven--and if Jesus said it, you can pretty much take it to the bank.

I think that since Heaven is the final paradise that the food will be of your choosing and will be in abundance--abundance which you cannot even imagine here on Earth. Your glorified body would not be subject to the risks of health, as it is perfect and will last forever.

All that said, if you do not believe, you will be absent and given nothing but torment in hell. It is a tough break for folks like you, but there is a way for you to reach paradise, all you have to do is accept the sacrifice that God made for you and ask his forgiveness. Be "born again", as Jesus told the high priest Nicodemus.

That is the way that it is. Believe it or not.

OK Nuc.... let me rephrase..... Beer predates Christ in the FLESH, as in when he walked the earth. I am well aware of what John says, it's my favorite of the synoptic gospels.

Awesome............I didn't want anyone to read that previous statement and think wrongly of our risen savior......................

Have a Nice Day..............

Actually , I find this offensive unto God.......to question the banquet in the hereafter. What counts is our walk with Christ/ God.............now......and care enough to not be overeaters

Personally, I feel from an obese continent that we are just perpetuating what might have very well killed us. Praise the Lord that he has given me the wisdom to eat right, to take supplements to better my aging process and use all of his herbs created from the get go. If there is a feast I would be honoured to be guest..........if it is just fish and bread..........it is the same blessing. It is too bad that everyone seems so food/gratification minded that this is a blog on this site. Strange. Walk with God and you will prosper. POINT FINALE!!!!

ahhh Rainbow... Did God not say "come let us reason together?.... He contended with Abraham over Sodom and Gomorrah and didn't blow his top because of Abraham's tenacity. He did not take offense to Moses' behavior or excuses as to why he was unfit to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt.

God gave us minds and a sense of curiosity, I doubt He's offended by our mere speculation. Speculation and conjecture are not sin, and as many of us, that count ourselves Christian would agree, sin is the primary thing that offends God.

Last time I checked you weren't God and your judgment has no value on where me or anyone else will end up.

So thinking about heaven and questioning religious topics is a sin? Its human nature to wonder and question. I can't believe what people find to be a sin or offensive.

We're not spirits. Most religious leaders would say we get glorified bodies without human needs such as touch, food and sleep but we retain the ability of these things for pleasure purposes. [/quote

So oo ~ you are saying that you are a man capiable of having a spiritial experience?

I and many others would differ ,

That we are spirit having a human experience ~ that we are greater then the sum of all our parts! That we are connected to all things of this universe and the comos.

Please reconsider your position ~ it opens many doors presently closed to you.

How can we taste sweet without putting it in our mouth? I can and you should.

The term "sin" is a early anglo saxton archery term which mean only to be off target.

so to sin low left 3 ~ you have placed your arrow, at 4 or 5 oclock 3 ring left of center.

I was reliefed once I learned this ~~ to sin is to be simple off target ~ with your behavior. ~

which goes back to, " wide is the path and narrow the way" ~ words often quoted from the ~~ manual.

adjust and try it again. ~~ Dance

Jesus put your question into it's right perspective when he taught us how to say the LORDS PRAYER ( ( which society has worked so diligently to remove from public forums and prohibiting it to be spoken even out loud on your own veranda because it might offend your neighbor)) In the LORDS PRAYER JESUS said to pray this prayer and the points he makes.... give us this day our daily bread...and....on earth as it is in heaven. Soooooo whatever God wills us to have or do on earth, you will know that also it will be so in heaven. Not to get mixed up with selfish desires and glutony there will always be our daily bread.

Mess 96:- taught us how to say the LORDS PRAYER

God clearly states it is not to be chanted with vain repetitions as people do, It is a list of topics about how to pray. After this manner...Mat 6 ver 9

which society has worked so diligently to remove from public forums and prohibiting it to be spoken even out loud

God states it should not be spoken in public Mat 6 ver 5 should be behind closed doors in sercret Mat 6 ver 6

If you are referring to "heaven". You need to clarify which belief system. Using that term, which is typically associated with the Bible. It is known that a spirit would have no need for physical food, or drink. Just as there would be no Sun, only light.

Given that belief, there would be no need for physical bodies so no need to support them.

Of course there is food in heaven. Jesus spoke about preparring a meal for us when we go to be with him in heaven. the bible also says he gives us the desires of out hearts , I know he does that here in this realm so why would it be different when we are with him.

What distributor delivers to heaven? Or will it all just be there? Food is for the mortal soul as we know food and mortality. Food in heaven, well, anybody been? Fun to think about though, I agree.

I just find this to be the strangest thread for the Recipes and Cooking Forums. But anyway, if there's no Ben and Jerry's or Blue Bell,, how heavenly could that be?

Well personally I think that you will be able to taste what you imagine but you wont have to actually eat anything for sustinance because your body will be perfect the way it is. If this is not true I am hoping they have a Ben and Jerry's booth.

My heaven would be a place where chicken grew on trees. Along with steak, crab legs, and prime rib. Then I would no longer have a guilty conscience of how those poor animals were slaughtered. Side dishes and desserts would be sweet potatoes, sliced carrots and broccoli, mashed potatoes, cherry cheese cake and key lime pie
