Did enjoy meeting other  last night. Although felt out of place being the oldest,lol 
I know it was just a test run but I do recommend that we meet new at the quiet side of the Jam House so they can introduce themselves for the Sept meet.

think its great, as the [ YOUNG ]Viena says bar area best for chatting and getting to know people, but have to say it made my night being able to have a dance
Venue has more to offer all round, was great to meet more

Just want to say a BIG THANKS to all who came to our mini 'test run' meet at the Jam House. Aka-Hattie and her friend, Maracaibo, Vienna1973, DiamondBlue, Doreen and Paul, and of course Foxey999 there were a few other lurkers, too shy to come and say Hi!!!!!
Anyhow arranged with the Management to have a cordened off area on the night until the band starts at 8.30 so the early will have a chance to chat before they start to boogie If they want, the bar area at the front of the venue is good for a nice quiet chat, should they wish too continue after the band start.
I enjoyed myself and had a good laugh with all the there, despite being on blackcurrant and soda all night.
Roll on the 5th of September, so all the not signed up get in there and do it - you know you want too.

good to see you have signed up for the meet in Edinburgh, should be a good night and will be great to be able to dance as well as chat to other . I have made good friends with a few other at the last couple of meets its not all about romance and meeting someone new, though that is a bonus. At our minimeet on Friday 2 couples got together.
See Admin actually got the date right now, all we need now is for someone to tell us how to get the hosts pics onto the start of the meet info. Does anyone know how to do that???

Entirely up to the hosts but I would leave it for now if it was me. Let them get a bit established first before you start introducing fancy dress. | |

Posted: 7/9/2008 11:04:53 AM | I think if I had been coming to a meet for the first time and had to wear fancy dress I would have had second thoughts and as you say cuteycat want our first meet we have organised to be a great success. Good idea though foxy and as others have suggested lets save that idea for Christmas when we could be onto our third meet. By the comments others have made I think we should just leave this meet as it is. We appreciate the feedback so keep all your comments coming please

Just checked and there are 22 men and 32 women signed up for the meet...Come on guys you know you want to go.... and no slipping into the Jam House cos Tinkerbell will recognise you and come say 'Hi'.
Glad to see 'Our Graham' back from his hols, so the banter will start, unless he has gone all shy!
