Okay you know what other than lowaccapela and sweetfire none of you were helpful at all so unless you've got something constructive to say other than read the profile tips or delete your entire profile cause its sucks don't even bother...
Another manchild, comes to town to hear ata boy, you profile is perfect, the ladies will be all over you in no time.
You have graciously been given the directions you need to improve it, but you're not interested in that.
Let me guess, mommy and daddy paid for your schooling? Your cell phone? And all the while you were living under their roof for free?
I am NOT saying these things are true OP, all I am saying is you reak of entitlement, and it is not attractive.
Others have tried, to no benefit, therefore I am not going to waiste my time, take the advice given, it was ALL positive feedback.

Please step back from your profile. Loosen your grip.
Everyone of us sees different things in profiles.
Everyone here is actually trying to help you.
We all know how hard it is to write a profile, some of us are still agonizing over it. (like moi)
Profiles are a work in progress, and you don't get it right first try or second. Or maybe third. Consider it a learning curve, like mastering a computer game.
So!
Let's take this one step at a time.
You cleaned up your pictures. Great! You do need more, and of course you will take care of that eventually. You don't have to do it all today.
We are helping women find you. "failedlegend" is not attractive. It says "loo-zer". Do you have any other ideas for a name? What are they?

I am looking for a Laid-Back woman with a good sense of humour and although I don't put as much focus into a girls looks as I do her personality Long Dark hair would be a bonus.
Move the whole about the girl part to the end, and honestly, this doesn't tell me anything about the type of of girl you want. More of that fluff stuff.... You mention the word personality... but what kind of personality? An eccentric hippie? A long dairk haired goth chick - who happens to also like to laugh? No clue what type of girl you're looking for here.
First date... again. Major Fail. I know... it's hard bein' a geek, where you might have to actually take a real woman out, and not type to an avatar.... but you can do it, you will enjoy it! Use the Force! Seriously though... movies are horrible first dates, you can't talk there. Going for drinks is typical.... List something specific... Perhaps is perusing XYZ Electronics and playing with all the channels on the high def TVs. I dunno... anything... Check out mine for example. | |

Me? I think you have done well. You come across as reasonably confident and a lot more organised.
Try it out for a while, maybe a few weeks or a month.
Send emails out, you do have to chat up the girls, they are shy and a bit anxious. Well, not all of them, but the ones that might click with you.

Posted: 6/23/2008 5:10:08 PM | Alright, I’ve sat on my hands long enough on this one. Actually I wish I’d seen it when it first came to life so that I could have seen the progress you’ve made so far but it’s still got a long way to go, baby.
Your name is a little obvious and unimaginative. Your headline will only work on a hardcore gamer and honestly those are so far and few between here that you are shooting yourself in the foot from the get-go. Try something a little more neutral and fun.
21-years-old and looking for long term. Want to know what girls your age are looking for? They’re looking to date guys my age. Why? Because we’re seasoned and more refined as a rule, and we’re more settled in life. Long-term scares them off. Change it up to dating. Remember, just about everyone wants their dating relationships to possibly be more in the long run.
Your interest section needs a gutting. Lose about half of them, not because of the length of interests completely but because many of them simply don’t belong. Don’t list your favourite actors, musicians, composers, authors, and so on. You list reading, music, and movies instead. Also you take your geekdom to epic heights by nailed all of Star Trek, Magic: The Gathering, MMORPGS, and all the video gaming notes. Remember, it’s cool to remain true to your roots but remember you are going to sit on this sucker a LONG time if you filter out all BUT the hardcore gamer chicks.
The Imeem choice you’ve made sets a bad impression for the reader. I don’t think I need to explain the questions that can arise when that song is played.
You do a really good job of telling us what you like to do both in your interest section and the About Me, but you fail to tell us anything about what kind of man you are. What can you tell us about your personality? While you are at it tell us about the woman you hope to meet. You’ve not told us anything aside from what most people already assume a guy would want in a woman. Use personality adjectives and not assumed traits.
The only thing that worked in your first date area was the Wonderland bit. You get one chance to impress a woman… seize it! Paint her a picture of what a date with you could be like. | |

I hope he reads this for the great info. Yeah, his name has a ways to go, but such an improvement! Same for the rest of it
I think he finds the written word daunting, and may not "get" that we are trying to help him.
I hope he can re-read the other comments, too. They all had gems.
Y'know, if he really digs in his heels and goes for it, he would have an A-class profile!

Oh and deuece I see what you mean about that song I didn't even think about that when I put it up hopefully Tragically Hip is a little better and I'll clean up my interests a bit...plus that gives me smething to discuss through e-mail and whatnot
also as far as the long term as opposed to dating goes i was gonna post a thread asking about that but you answered the question for me :) | |

Oh yeah OP? And just exactly have you learned from that little experience? Let me guess! You think that is GOOD!? Right? WRONG! The LAST thing you want is a profile that is LIKE everyone elses! The more DIFFERENT you are able to make it the better OP.
