Although the trip there was a bit of a concern..........was taken out bush, got lost - twice! - by a taxi driver who didn't know where he was going. 
But a great night was had.....
How bout a night out on the north side????

Dinner with great friends so many
6 months ago I didn't know any
avoiding the dance floor all night
not wanting to give you all a fright
I wanted Deb 64's steak
I think maybe the chef was a fake
my stake was still mooing a bit
then Gilhooleys bar we did hit
my new girl was giving me wood
she treats me oh so good
out of tune singing along
to many a favourite song
seeing faces I have missed
trying not to get too pissed
not wanting to be the fool
dressed up hoping I look cool
sharing the odd joke or two
making some friends anew
making Helen feel welcome and ok
so she didn't want to run away
This little group is growing
more good people are now showing
showing up to outings in Brissy
keeping outing organisers busy
Mainey you did a great job
hey party girl your definately no snob
happy to talk to us all
while drunkenly bouncing off the wall
Hey debnco sorry I can't dance
I thankyou for giving me the chance
but I would have stepped on your toes
then you would give me a bloody nose
I could not accept your hand
even though you tried to demand
for I had already turned down my girl
and my head was starting to swirl
Good to see Steve once more
I kissed Samara8 near the dance floor
talked to "don't have one" for a while
and admired Gidget17's gorgous smile
Seeing Gypsie is always a good thing
a cask this time she did not bring
dark haired girl got a quick Hi
as I stumbled happily by
Too many good people to mention
I was not paying enough attention
So I can't mention everyone there
or to a novel this poem would compare | |

Hiya Phil :) tell me about it lol my life has been like a comedy of errors lately with selling, building, packing, moving then getting broken into at the new place and trying to get everything organised, plus the joys of working nightshift, it never ends. Every time I try to get out and have some fun, s**t happens lol it's like a conspiracy. Maybe you guys should all just come to my housewarming party next week
