Posted: 6/24/2008 3:02:18 AM | I have to agree with FF, only had 1 night out drinking since Christmas, no ciggys for over 3 months now and feel healthier, skin does feel and look a lot better , but as for the sexier, prettier and more gorgeous bit, well may some things are past saving.
Welldone to you.
Look at yourself again in the mirror.,you'll see that you look much much younger. You'll see what i mean by sexier and more gorgeous.

Posted: 6/24/2008 5:05:09 PM | I had a horrendous but fascinating experience earlier today, I bumped into a neighbour I hadn't seen in quite a while and boy has she aged...
She doesn't necessarily look masculine due to her habit of drinking 6 - 8 cans of harp a night and smoking a 20 pack of John Player blue, but she was definitely in need of a little grooming - aside from her fascinatingly over-large and wispy eyebrows, her greasy hair and yellowed teeth, her skin had a yellow/greenish pallor and looked like the texture of ancient Egyptian papyrus - you know, crepe paper - like. I had to stand there and chat to her for at least 10 minutes in order to soak up the terrible detriment she has caused to her phyisiognimy through unhealthy living - I needed to keep that image in my head to inspire me to detox very soon and get fit. | |

When I saw him in 1983, he looked quite good.
Drinking is ok, there's nothing like sharing a good bottle of red with someone who is good company - so conducive to great conversation and creativity.
I don't know how I would be able to imagine things and act upon them if I didn't indulge in enjoying alcohol...and I don't mean having one-night stands.

Many women would probably reconsider their drinking habits if they new it would have a detrimental effect on their looks , but many more would be more concerned with the health and personal safety issues associated with binge drinking ... all i know is that be it a man or woman the effects of binge drinking are not always attractive !! | |

Given lots of the current advertisement campaigns I know it's the units for gender and trying to remind the ******** drink drivers not to drink and drive and things along those lines.
But they're not showing the females running people over in their cars, throwing up in the street or flashing themselves are they? Well none that I've seen yet. And they should. Forget glowy skin, hair loss etc. as mentioned in the original post. Since when are females THAT shallow?
Or maybe some advertising executives like to think they are.
Show the reality of what abuse/binge drinking of alcohol does to peoples' lives, male or female, young or old.
But no scaring the very young ones. So no telly. Stick with late age primary school talks, then after that 'big' /secondary/grammar school, clubs, magazines, posters whatever it takes.
I'll never forget my son being scared back in the late '80s that he was going to 'Die Of Ignorance'! Anybody who remembers the AIDS commercials from back then will know what I mean. And for anyone who doesn't, nope. They didn't have a 'watershed' time for those commercials. Same as now.

So its just "chubby female monsters" who behave stupid is it! I would say that comment was far more "stupid" than any act of stupidity this "chubby" girl has ever carried out under the influence of alcohol!
Fortunately I dont have to worry about my looks as much as some other females may have to, as I have a personality that outshines physical appearance! Oh and the personality will always be there too!

I can take or leave drinking but take my fags away and i can be more than grumpy.
I do wonder what i would look like if i had never smoked or drank.
I probably wouldnt have had half as an eventfull past!

If ever a comment were misunderstood!
It is a fact that the drunken, falling down, behaving twatishly females, are inevitably chubby. Drinking too much makes you fat!
It does not mean that being chubby makes you behave in that way.
I used alcohol to give up smoking! - and yes, it was because of the first signs of wrinkles round the mouth (I didn't want to end up looking like my grandmother).
I gave up on the Monday I started a new job (no one to scrounge from if I got desperate). All I had to do then was avoid calling at the shop on the way home. Where I lived was a ten minute walk across the common to the local shop....not an attractive thought at night, in winter, with no lighting. A couple of large vodkas on getting home guaranteed I could not jump in the car....so day by day I got through. Easy after a couple of weeks.
The vodka was rather less addictive, and whilst I do drink when I go out, I think it is a bit sad to sit at home alone and drink.... | |

At 2am (weekends) about 60 out of every 100 drunken and badly behaved women are chubby/fat.
And i agree drinking too much makes you fat. And also eating too much makes you fat an'all.

You forgot friday nights. Its actually 62 on saturday, 58 on friday which gives an average of 60.
I have made up a special chart for that. I call it MCFM chart.

Rubbish. Your body and mind heals itself in time.
Even the chubby's will slim down if they go on a diet.

Posted: 7/6/2008 10:07:21 AM | I lived in Blackpool for a number of years and have to say the behaviour of some of the young women at the weekend was deplorable.
Thier alcohol consumption and subsequent bad behaviour was not a pretty site, and i have to say there were just as many thin girls behaving badly as there were chubby.
I'm sorry but i think FF's targeted castigation of larger people is quite disgusting. You see many threads on the forums where sweeping generalisations are made about genders, races etc and it's sad to see someone who purports to be intelligent carry that one with a sweeping generalisation of her own.
Furthermore, not all large people are that way because of thier consumption of food and alcohol. Some yes, but not all.
You might have reclaimed your looks by giving up smoking and alcohol. Unfortunately it will take far more than that to redeem an ugly nature! | |
