gaydar metrosexual wicked (as in, "that was wicked funny") funny (used as a noun: "He made a funny!") pimp player ho hellLLOOOOO??!!

I hate the word "panties". It just seems so gross and WRONG!
I am so glad I'm not the only one with a strong aversion to that word. I could never work at Vicky C's, because I won't use it!

| Is there certain words that you hate? Posted: 7/6/2008 1:45:24 AM | with regards to laughing libra's first post- it reminds me of how George Bush says "nucular" instead of "nuclear". And another thing- I remember an American student teacher once tell us that Americans say "aluminum"...true?
As for words I don't particularly like, I can't think of any but they're usually words that are hard to pronounce or just sound plain strange. What about the word "school"? And "schedule"? Do you pronounce that last word with a soft sound or hard sound?
PS- what does BM mean/stand for???

Can't stand that word. It doesn't matter what you should do, what ARE you going to do?
Tasty
Why? I just can't stand it. Is tasty good? not necessarily, anything you put in your mouth is "tasty"
Seen

| Is there certain words that you hate? Posted: 7/6/2008 9:29:36 PM | the first 4 that poped into my mind was
"gal" "babe" "mmmmm" "yummy"
you might as well be running nails across a chalkboard thats how irrating these 4 little words are to me alteast..i know i have more but those are my main 4..
who the f uck says gal anyways..especially hearin it from a guy,, hey gal? how are you gal? gawd shut up at least say girl..
an babe listen i dont know you an babe jus sounds hella corny..what is this 1985 agian? for real update your game..or hey better yet why don't you just ask me what my name is an call me by my real name instead of BABE..
dont get me wrong there are somethings i loved about the 80's an definatly wanna bring it back but leave the cheesy lines back in the past..
the word mmmmm in its self has been so over run an used up by the pervets an trolls of the internet that the very thought of somebody saying it makes me wanna puke..
an last but not least the word yummy,, this i have heard used over an over from typically the creepy old guy ya know the 1 in his 50's or 60's or older looks like he should be on date line to catch a predator an he's always trollin for young girls an women to groom..
hell half the men who use the word mmmmm an like to jackoff on cam from what i seen look like the should have been on dateline to catch a predator..
back to point,, i hate these words

| Is there certain words that you hate? Posted: 7/7/2008 6:17:56 AM | The English language evolves, but that doesn't mean it improves. "Irregardless" a horrible word, has found its way into the dictionary. (shudder)
The conditional tense of "to be" has all but disappeared. How often do we hear the correct "If I were you..." rather than the incorrect "I'd be safe and warm if I was in L.A."?
Words that are mispronounced by adding extra syllables. "Masonry" has just one "a". but is mispronounced "mas-on-ary" all the time. Same for "Jewelry" ("jewel"+"ree") not "Jew-ler-y"" as if it were owned by people in Israel.
A common complaint about immigrants is that they don't speak English. Often I wonder if those who were born here do either.

Surely one of the stupidest expressions of the last 25 years?
"Stoked" is moronic, too.
I hate the word "lesbian."
I love the chicks I just hate the word.

| Is there certain words that you hate? Posted: 7/29/2008 8:03:37 PM | IGNORANT.
The word is actually intended to mean "lack of knowlege in a specific area" But too often it is come to be used as just some kind of meaningless UGLY perjorative against people who are not PC, or who don't happen to agree with the namecaller.
IDIOT
This is an old word like MORON that used to be a technical term an intellectually challenged person or someone with very low IQ. Thank goodness it isn't used by psychiatric professionals any more.
Now its just another UGLY name a childish person with nothing defensible to say hurls at whomever they disagree with
Both words are HATEFUL and real commincation destroyers.

| Is there certain words that you hate? Posted: 7/30/2008 5:37:15 AM | | I hate the Spanish verb adivinar (meaning to guess in English). I defy anyone from Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK to try and say that without a Geordie accent! | |
