I would ask myself if making an official report would likely make my situation better or worse and if I could deal with being there if essentially nothing was done. I would move on and up and invest my time and energy elsewhere as quickly as possible.

I've seen the admin. slip right in with the bullie(s);
Something to consider.

I've been unnecessarily wordy with my posts, but the quote above is eloquently to the point, IMO. More often than not, if the a$$ has been with the firm/company a long time, you're probably not bringing them any information that they don't already know, and the fact that the person remains on staff tells you how they feel about them. An in-house bully is often the reason behind companies with a high turnover in personnel. Most people just quit.
Sometime(s) #s outweigh principles.

Uh-huh. I agree with this as well. This is a very important lesson to get. With regard to your job/career, I would just say take a few extra seconds to think before you speak and act and react.

While I've never, thankfully, been the target of serious workplace bullying I've certainly seen it and heard about it from friends who've been less than fortunate in this area. In every situation that I know of, it was someone in management or a direct supervisor that was doing the bullying leaving the victim with not much in the way of recourse besides a day in court. Not many people have the time, emotional energy or resources to get into that and so, unfortunately people who are intent on acting this way tend to keep on getting away with it.

Hopefully the situation in the OPs workplace will be improved once the head honcho is spoken to, but bullying is an unfortunate reality in a lot of workplaces. Frankly, some people never evolve past high school.

Wanted to +:
Simply noticed malicious behavior with chat site(s)...
Anything from teasing, defamation, arrogance, manipulative hyprocrisy; seems gold, with certain member(s).

Also,
does posting for virtuous characteristic(s), only provoke, naughty, member(s)?

Mayb.... ya'll could shed some "light" on this issue.

im really disheartend with this...no-one seems to care, because he has oviousley left, and been replaced.
we have tried talking to pplz, but i think if u work, in a company who has a hundred and more pplz employed for work,
just one person does not really matter.
:O(

as for the above post, i think, the most important thing about bullys to remember is, not to snap at their bate.
its a lessen im still learning at the moment.
i know it is differcult to stop yourself sometimes, but it is not worth it in the long run.
oviousley, if ur health is affected, you have got to do something.
