Posted: 9/15/2008 3:23:56 AM | I didn't have a hankering to move until we inherited Bonnaroo...........durn that MCallister and his farm.
Some people come for the music, like it here and do not leave..........
I mention to my mom, that we should rent out our places and go for the warmth.....at least for part of the year. 
Some place quiet.......need a little land though......got my animal babies.
I could see me moving now............a revised version of the Grapes of Wrath.....or the Beverly Hillbillies.
...rocking chair with mommy sitting in it... pointing her finger, the index one, at people who don't drive like she thinks they should...
.....2 burros, dogs and cats.
So I'm holding off on getting 2 buffaloes, goats and rabbits....
I wouldn't mind having a meet and greet here but haven't seen a place large enough yet.
When I do, I'll holler.

Glad the sense of humor is alive in some people.
I, more times than not, tend to say what I think/feel and sometimes it's not received, in the same spirit, in which it was delivered.
We have no big place since that acreage got bought..........
Now they are a permanent fixture...........
Next year I'm thinking of doing a documentary film.......and taping the "week before" Bonnaroo.
It's funny that wally world is now the place........when the locals have company visiting from out of town....we load them up and "cruise" wally world, to have a look at some of the, "outer and under world", people.
It kinda reminds me a "night of the living dead", only in the day light, and kinda like only the 60'/70's were dug up or dug themselves up....and showed up here.
Last year they fitted nicely in my " what drugs do to/for you and the value of an education", talk to my grandchildren.
The visual alone told the story.....especially when we were flagged down by some guy wanting to exchange a cold bottle of water for a cigarette.
I say, flagged us down, since he started waving his arms, when he saw us and I dang near ran him over..........when he lost his balance and stumbled from the curb to in front of my truck.
The meet and greet........
I was looking for more of a bar atmosphere....we do have a few "hole in the wall" places.
I'm going to check out a place right off I-24 and right up from a few hotels/motels, within walking/crawling, distance....and next door to a liquor store.
It's been my experience that more people show up when there's music/drinks/door prizes/food......
I worked with the union and we packed some huge places..........on more than one occasion, I had about 500 people, at a mixer.
One was a BBQ........and I prepped all the food and recruited cooks and bakers.
I was thinking Nov. since there are a couple of M&G's in Oct., and incorporating a canned food drive with it..........
Whatcha think?
Oh and C.W., I can take a joke, after all....... I lived with one for about 30 years.
About everything, given the time and space, can be twisted into funny........
The sentences start with.......Remember when.....
Even when my car caught on fire...........I had a Pepsi, which I poured on it.
and as I was looking for something to sacrifice, to try and smother the flames......the ex was trying to spit on it.
The kids were little but never forgot...........they laughed at the time and he yelled at them.......and they always bring it up.....
....right down the mocking of his spitting.

First of all, I immediately thought I was included in that club, but then I thought no, she just emailed me so I can't be. I'm glad. I'm sorry you have decided not to attend (not just the ride) because you seem to be a people person that I love to be around and there are just a few left and we should cherish each of them. Posted: 10/10/2008 5:52:48 AM | Perhaps I may go. I'm not really sure about it though since the terrorists got involved in hosting a party. I thought about doing it several months ago but never did. Mabey, you, Johnnynoxvull, me, and maybe a couple of more (selected) people should pull a couple of tables together at that party and set up our own area to mingle. That way we can have over who we like. Just a thought.....
Now, if you try to fight me over a Port-O-Poty that will be a different story!
I think a weekend camping trip would be a really awesome thing to do along with a couple of hiking trips while there. I think that ppl need time to click over more interests than alcohol.

There is a campground close by and those that wanted to camp and enjoy this beautiful fall weather could do so. Not everyone is a tent goddess...lol...and that is ok tooo. I would love to find some people that share an interest in the outdoors. Any interest in this suggestion?? | |

Posted: 10/13/2008 10:29:26 AM | Cades Cove does have a camp ground just a few feet from the entrance to the park. It is large and offers several neighboring camp sites for both (tent goddesses) primative camping and RVs.
Don't forget there is a party in Maryville for Pof at Brackins Sports Bar. It's this Friday! | |

The larger the group the better for conversation and meeting new people. It is getting close to the holidays, and I think some kind of holiday bash would be great. Keep in touch with the plans. | |
