At my place, I keep a couple in the drawer of the nightstand and a larger supply in a box under the bed with the good toys. I keep a large variety - something for everyone. | |

The perfect answer! Reminds me of an aside in an old Firesign Theater bit - announcer reading a roadsign: "Shadow Valley Condoms. If you lived here you'd be home now."
A great tangental question: How often do y'all check the expiration dates on them? I threw out a bunch last month that were two years expired. We only use them when we're with a third, and these were bought when we were involved with someone about 4-5 years ago. She's gone, but the condoms stayed in the drawer.
It also seems that there are different expiration times between latex, silicon, and lambskin.
Bring back the early 70's when the worst that could happen could be fixed with a shot or an outpatient visit.

Posted: 7/8/2008 10:15:52 PM | i keep mine in a discreet little ornamental box on my bedside table, and i carry a few in my purse for overnight visits in case my lover may have run out.
as for those men who carry a condom in their wallet or in their sock as the OP gave as one example, i hope that you boys realize that body heat (and heat in general) weakens the latex, so please replace those condoms frequently if you want to avoid any *accidents*. | |

Posted: 7/8/2008 10:29:00 PM | *Never* leave it in your wallet, thats for sure - it's a great risk (well okay, minor at first - but the longer its left in there the more worn it will get jsut from chaffing etc)
Simple nightstand rule works, or else a pocket that won't be explored :p | |

Posted: 7/9/2008 2:12:12 PM | | never carried one ..... but i will NEVER forget the 3 times in my life when i needed one and didnt have one ......aww but i guess it was not meant to be ....those are the most sorrowfull words when getting frisky with a date ...do you have protection??? and you dont ..oh well all three times I got a do over ...and all was well ...but it just seamed presumptuous to carry one but disappointing to need one and not have one...you can always say i would have had one but i knew you arnt that kind of girl and was not aware i rated high enough with you to stand a chance of being intimate with you ...on all three occasions after the cool down period we had a good laugh ...and proceeded to plan our next rendezvous with the understanding that we were going to get lucky ..except for one lady we drove 20 miles to get one ...we wanted it bad | |
