Well, I took mine down. Then immediately got asked why. So somebody must like them. Back up they go.

Why does it matter? If a person likes how they look in a particular picture, that is on them. They are trying to attract the opposite sex. Who are we to judge or project our beliefs?

Okay....running around/looking for forums on pictures....found this one and its the closest to what I want to say...

And it hasn't been said yet! Amazing.

With the "dates" I have been on lately, I can honestly say most people are not photogenic! I have been delighted to find the guys are much better looking IRL than in that dinky little picture.

The latest didn't look a thing like his pictures. If it had not had been for his dog (who is in one of the pics), I would not have recognized him! Nice...uhhuh...!

I agree that the pics on your profile should be just of you for many reasons.

The biggest one being, I do not like looking at a gentlemans profile and seeing pictures of him with other women. Particuarly when those women are obviously not his mother, sister or child. If you have a particuarly nice photo of yourself that includes, your mother, sister or child, it is best to identify them as such. Even someone who is a friend should be identified.

I have looked at many many profiles of what seems to be a very interesting Man until I look at his photos and see him in a shot with a bunch of half naked women getting down in a club or surrounded by several Hooters girls or a buffet of similar situations I could describe. It is fine to be someone who likes to have a good time, but these photos give a particular impression to other women that is maybe not the best way to introduce yourself when fishing for a new mate.

Both of my photos are of me with friends, but I was able to crop it so that you only see my face. If you are unable to do that and have it look half decent, then ask for help from a friend and take one that is solo.

I think it would be a hoot, if someone cropped out a picture of an old flame's face and imposed over it, a skull and crossbones. That's the type of person I would like to hook up with. She would definitiely be telling me, she has a kick ass sense of humor.

Men and Women, please keep your cats, dogs, car, cycle, kids, boat and other toys out

Even though this was posted about a half a year ago....... LOL
I'd like to make a point about the animals part of this, I just recently put a pic of my 2 new puppies...... They are HIGH maintenance dogs, both of them. Someone might see an animal in a pic and think I'm not a dog/cat/snake/rat/ferret person. Or they might be alergic to a specific animal. By the same token, someone might really want to know that the person they are interested in, is an animal person, and more likely to appreciate all of the versitility of life pets can create.

The pic I hate is the one others have mentioned the bathroom cell phone pic..... I have seen people with really expensive cameras..... Take the proverbial bathroom shot, when all they might have done is read the directions and set up the timer on the camera and take a nice pose anywhere....... Anywhere but in the BATHROOM!!!

OMG I do so love this posting

AZ you are right.. my puter crashed another isnow up and running and actually I am job hunting in arizona for my internship.

Anyone need a counseling intern from a grad school student??

I will post my "new to me convertible and hopefully some new pics since now the one in the yellow is over a year old LMAO. Besides.. its 10 lbs ago.. LESS hehehe

Anyway am scheduled to be in AZ in May for my birthday but hopefully will find an internship prior to that and be there then.

Have I mentioned on the AZ forums about the old German saying that if you are so choosy about a date, go to the bakery, design a perfect one and have the baker bake it up for you?

WOW! Some people will use any thing to justify their behaviors. What is an "animal person"? Is that a person who is also part animal? Like a minotaur or centaur?

What is an "animal person"?

By my deffination an animal person is someone who likes to have animals in their life. Though I have not posted, I also own 2 cats and a snake. If I had the where with all to live on a farm.... I'd be there!
Horses, pigs, rabbits, chickens..... It's what I grew up with.....
They do not take the place of humans in our life, they add dimension to it.
Clearly HSJS, if you have to ask.... you may not appreciate pets or people that that want them in their life.

my pet pieve is the 10 year old pics that don't resemble the person and the glamor shots from 5 years ago. I keep my pics current within 6 months so there are no surprises

A crappy MAIN photo is better than no pic at all -but not much better (i won't even deal with no pics profiles).

A MAIN pic with pets, friends, children an ex or snapshot from 1978 shows they are too inscure to take or post a pic with themself. you might as well be honest -we're gonna find out eventually when we meet.

You don't need to include your children in the pictures, we've all figured out by the time most people are in their late twentys they have amounted to at least one or two kids.

Blurry, partial, overcropped or field pic with no detail is doing more harm than good, either they can't figure out how to take a pic, download, scan or they just don't give a damn about themself to post a good pic.

Pictures with only your pet or only your children or only your car ( WTF?) were not here to find a date for your pet, a pedophile for your kids or sell your car!
-concentrate on getting yourself a date first.

With all the advancment or digital cameras and simple computer photoshop programs theres just no excuse for less than a half assed photo
