The Tragically Hip in a 2,000 seat concert hall was pretty good, but the audio wasn't balanced, the drums were drowning out the guitar!
Can't wait for Pearl Jam in September!!!! The closest I'm gonna get to seeing Stevie Ray or Hendrix....Mike McCready rocks!

It was the first major concert I had attended and EVH's playing was incredible. I picked up a guitar a couple weeks later.

The opening band was a local band called Project Wise, and they were similar to the house of pain or cypress hill style!! Then the tea party came out and rocked for about an hour!!! Setting the stage for the godfather of rock!!!!

Close Second, Sabbath, Pantera, and the Deftones at the Fleet Center. The Deftones suck live, hence the reason this show came in second.
Best club show, is always the Mule, Warren Haynes kicks ass

Posted: 7/2/2005 10:17:14 AM | | Have to say,,Theory of a Deadman,,Three days Grace, and Forty foot Echo,,,they were all amazing , they played in a samll city for the festival,,they were all pretty much new then when I seen them, as most people had no clue, who they all were. But they played to the crowd,,and had the heart that most have lost in thier shows now. Was outside, and sounded great, and just the atmosphere was awsome as well, as well as the music. Beleive me the next week,,,,most people kicked themselves in that ass for not seeing them play as now they are paying 4 times the amount of money to see them live!!

Add a few 'big day out', Splendor and tribal festivals in Aus and you round out my greatest live experiences.

| The best concert you ever attended. Posted: 7/28/2005 11:25:34 PM | For Production, I'd have to say Kiss in 1997(?) For Performance, I'd have to say Ambrosia in 2004... too bad no one was there. For Special effects (Pyro, Lighting, Flying performers/Instruments) it would be, Lional Richie, 1983 with his Spinning and Rotating Piano, and his duet with a rear screen projection of Dianna Ross. Motley Crue, 1985 with Tommy Lee's rotating Drum Kit. Kiss, 1997(?) with Gene Simmions riding a lift over the croud, and using wires to fly up to the top of the lighting truss. | |
