Saw it at Saratoga, and agree wholeheartedly. I saw 4 of the years and the first was fresh and exciting. Although, I was psyched to catch Nick Cave, Soundgarden, and George Clinton in later years. The Ramones and Metallica too.

I got to see James Taylor at the Civic Colleseum Center in Knoxville, TN back in, oh, 1996 I believe. Let me tell you that he sounds just as lush and beautiful in person as he does on his cd's. It was an unreal experience.

But thats the advantage fo going to the smaller venues sometimes.

Best was probably "Age of Quarrel" by Cro-Mags.
Other than that some of the festivals would have to be the most fun the first lollapalooza was great.
I hope to see many more bands and show in my days, it's such a great thing, live music.
Honrable Mention Type O Negative "October Rust" tour at the Sunshine in ABQ.

bestest most memorable however, BlindMelon at the WOrlds Fair park, in knoxville, tn 3 days before he passed. I had the pleasure of meeting the band before the show, and dosing some of their barrels, it was a good day to trip.

The Eagles (minus Don Felder...sob), were superb. Don Henley really does have a great voice and Joe Walsh was hillarious. They played for three hours - real value for money even though the tickets were £45.
Goldfrapp were very good, but only played for just over an hour. My fave group didn't fail to inpress in that short time though.
Best gig for me though was a Genesis tribute band called 'The Musical Box'. Now that was amazing. They re-ennacted a complete Genesis gig from 1973 to perfection. Will never forget 'Cinema Show', just perfect.
