| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 6/30/2008 11:26:37 AM | Ok now some of the repies are making me feel like an ***hole. The girl didn't have a disease...not that I know of. She wasn't in some tragic accident which caused the dotors to remove her eyebrows to save her life...that I know of.
She went dancing and sweat her eyebrows off, that's it.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 6/30/2008 3:00:01 PM | I'm with you, Welder's Girl. Only, in my experience it's the ladies in my life that are right around sixty. My mom's older sisters and my ex's mother are great examples. My aunt told me never EVER to use a depilatory on my eyebrows (that's how she lost hers). Not that I would have thought to do that anyway, but it was apparently the thing back then to get rid of your eyebrows and draw them in instead. My ex's mother (who's in her early sixties now, if I remember correctly) used to have hers tattooed on. In the almost five years I knew her, she had to have them done twice.
One of my childhood friends over-plucks, too. The rest of us have tried to have an intervention with her over it. I'm sort of on the lucky side. Mine are the type that only have to be waxed every few months or so (for shape), but in the summer, they just about disappear since they get so light. On occasions where I know pictures are going to be taken or I want to look a little nicer, I might fill them in a little bit with a pencil.
OP - don't feel bad. You're attracted to what you're attracted to. You can't help that. If it bothers you that much, then maybe she wasn't the best match for you.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 6/30/2008 3:55:39 PM | | My good friend, with no eyebrows because... who knows why they are gone ... well, one day, she forgot to draw them in at home. So on her way to work, in the car, she reached in her purse for her eyebrow pencil to get the job done. It was dark, I guess, and she pulled out her lip liner. Her lip liner looks like an eyebrow pencil, but it's pink. So, my friend had crroked pink eyebrows that day. Actually, that was the day I met her for the first time and we have been great frinds ever since! | |

We're hanging out, I'm introducing her to my friends, and then I had some business to attend to. So she went off and was dancing with some of my friends. She came looking for me about 10 minutes later, and when she did...she had no eyebrows...NONE Not to worry ... my guess would be ... she had a lighter malfunction and didn't realize it.

I almost peed my pants laughing at this one! Did she use her eyebrow pencil on her lips as well?
My eyebrows are blonde, and thin due to a thyroid condition I had in my teens. They don't grow - ever. So I have to darken them or I would join the ranks of the eyebrow-less. One of my eyebrows has a natural "slash" in it, rather like Soulja Boy or Big Daddy Kane and their followers, but it's not gang-related, I can assure. It's a good thing I'm not in high school these days with the slash in my eyebrow, otherwise I might get expelled for making some kind of gang statement!

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/5/2008 1:10:28 AM | | I lost half of one eyebrow after a visit to the hairdressers. She was cutting my fringe, (I think you call it a bang in the US), and it was only after I got home I realised half of one of my brows was bare. What got me angry too is that I tipped her over 10% as well. | |

Why did'nt you ask her what the hell happend to her eyebrows, maybe she had no eyebrows in the first place, and had penciled them back on
Why does it still bother me to this day?
Only you can answer that, we all no what we like/dont like, but i think you have taken it a lil to far especially not to even go on a second date, i mean she could have penciled some on
Am I a jerk, or an idiot?

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/5/2008 11:29:11 AM | One of the posts in this thread brings up another issue...
Outlining the lips with a darker color. WTF is that all about? It looks like you don't know how to eat chocolate icecream.
& on another related issue: Lipstick that is paler than your natural skin color. Thats another WTF?? moment. It makes you look like you have radiation poisoning.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/5/2008 6:27:10 PM | | Maybe her eyebrows were blondish and she darkened them up (and it wore off)... or... did you consider that perhaps she had chemo-therapy? Because sometimes the hair won't grow back... | |

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/5/2008 6:45:35 PM | Don't be so hard on yourself! I don't think you're shallow. I think you're honest. Hey---most men in this universe believe it is their GOD GIVEN RIGHT to have a PERFECT WOMAN IN EVERY CAPACITY (even fat, mean, or ugly men ) but you sincerely sound like you lost your attraction to her from that. I know I would if it were a guy unless I had already fallen in love with him....A friend of mine suffers from Alopecia. She's lucky in that it affects only her eyelashes, eyebrows and patches of her scalp. Unfortunately, Alopecia can affect up to 100% of the epidermis also. Alopecia is a condition affecting humans, in which hair is lost from areas of the body, usually from the scalp. Because it causes bald spots on the scalp, especially in the first stages, it is sometimes called spot baldness.
It may be possible she has this skin condition and learns to live with it through makeup etc.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/8/2008 7:06:05 PM | I know a woman with no eyebrows. She says it's from plucking them since a very young age and now they never grow back. It's a little weird but she's still a nice person.
Eyebrows or not, Ripley, you're still a hotty in my book! Nice to see you're back

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/8/2008 7:22:35 PM | It's odd. Where did her eyebrows go in ten minutes?
Maybe you feel about eyebrowless women the way I feel about men covered with tattoos. I had a date with a man who showed me a semi nude photo of himself and sure enough he was covered with ink. And he said he wanted to cover his head as well. Completely turned me off.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/9/2008 4:04:38 AM | I am with the Limey on this one. I think that dark lip thing makes you look as if you have been snacking in the cat box. And some women look as if they have used brown eyebrow pencil to do it. It gives a kind of slutty clown effect.
It's common to see Hispanic women here in Southern California with shaved eyebrows, and new ones penciled in, or tattooed. I think if you are shaving your brows, you no longer have a forehead, it's a fivehead.

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/9/2008 9:07:42 AM | | LOL - I have really pale blond eyebrows, but never thought it an issue as far as dating! I guess I might as well throw in the towel! You 'fargin bastages'! LOL | |

| Women with no eyebrows...what, how? Posted: 7/9/2008 9:09:30 AM | Ok well i'm going through the thin eyebrow look now. Why because I went to a cheap salon and got them done, and my hair cut. They butchered my hair, had to get it cut even shorter...and my eyebrows were lopsided. I buckled down and went to a real salon and my new stylist said she would have to go thin to shape them correctly and even them out. Now it's a process of growing them back in.
Eyebrows are tricky...so once you find someone who can do them correctly, don't lose them.

I was shocked and creeped out. I was also torn. i hadn't slept with this girl, but knew when and if we had, it would have been great. But I couldn't get that image out of my head. I'm already not a fan of foreheads on women, and the no eyebrows made her forehead the biggest I'd ever seen. I'm talking Rocky Dennis type.[qoute] The disdain for foreheads on women could be a problem.
