| Random Tim Hortons Question.... Posted: 10/9/2008 9:47:48 PM | WTF????? OK so maybe people didn't like the way the information was presented...but not ONE person remarked on the statement that this employer was ASSAULTING his staff??? Where I come from pinching an employee's ass is considered sexual harassment. Smacking an employee upside the back of the head is criminal ASSAULT. Another poster said that the company only allowed for 4 sick days?? I didn't get to see any information about where she lived, but as was pointed out by another poster, Ontario Labour Laws require a minimum of 10 sick days per year. The only exception is if an employee is still in their probationary period. During that time frame the company can terminate employment without providing reason. I'm still gobsmacked that nobody made any reference to an out and out assault. Nobody even called BS. Well for the record I guess I will be the lone person to say hey kid, that ain't right. | |

| Random Tim Hortons Question.... Posted: 10/14/2008 6:05:30 PM | | just one thing i want..... make a decent consistent cup of friggin coffee! That is what built the empire..... now you can get anything from brown water to java with so much cream in it you could trigger a heart attack. It was always a good cup of coffee and now its totally random. They should cut back on all the fancy stuff and stick to what they did good. Or simplify the menu, its too much to ask the staff to be a full line restaurant when they have 25 cars in the driv-thru. I had a friend who was an owner and he made so much money he couldnt believe it. The guy lives like a king and is a multi-millionaire. If Tims wanted to keep good attitude they would have aggressive profit sharing that made high performance directly benefit the individual worker on the front line. The owners and the head office are swimming in cash but the workers are just told to work faster all the time. It is no job I could take without thowing food and coffee at people! Hats off to the staff..... pay them performance bonus right from the week to week take! | |

| Random Tim Hortons Question.... Posted: 10/15/2008 9:24:29 PM | Once I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon and instead I got a breakfast bagel and I refuse to eat bagels because of all the carbs, I just asked the person that I wanted a breakfast sandwich, not the bagel but the biscuit one because it's smaller. I get mad when they don't have hashbrowns though, like how can Tim Horton's not have hashbrowns in the morning! | |

| Random Tim Hortons Question.... Posted: 10/16/2008 3:09:51 AM | I was shocked to read that one of the posters was paid $11 per hour to work at Tim's. When I worked there ...only 3 years ago...I was paid $8 per hour, and had years of experience working with the public! The only positive thing about working there was the friendship I developed with one of my favourite coworkers.
I had major surgery at one point, and was off work for 3 weeks. The owner never asked me how I was doing, or gave any indication that I was of any importance to her. She used to joke around with some of the other staff, but would never speak to me.
The manager was a totally different story. She was an encourager, a support system, and very fair, though she could be tough when the situation called for it. | |

| Random Tim Hortons Question.... Posted: 10/19/2008 8:54:22 AM | | I never go to Tim Hortons and expect good service. If I wanted to make sure I got the proper meal I ordered, I'll stay home and make myself a sandwich. | |
