Meryl Streep was able to do all those dance moves at almost 60 years old.

All body parts do still work well at age 60.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist teasing you about that.)

I didn't like Mama Mia really. Started watching it on a plane, but it didn't hold my interest all the way through so I switched to something else. I love Meryl Streep, though, and can hardly wait to see "Julia." She's an awesome actress.

I've heard from friends that District 9 is excellent just for it's allegorical take on Apartheid alone. I've seen Terminator: Salvation, Transformers, and Harry Potter this summer. Terminator and Transformers are worth watching if you want something that requires as very little thought as possible. In fact, I'm fairly convinced that Terminator actually discourages it. There are a few points in the movie where I was left actually wondering how anyone gets paid actual money to write something so stupid. Harry Potter was excellent but too much of the book was left out.

Oh yeah, I saw the new Star Trek and enjoyed it, but not as much as I hoped. The cast was awesome and I definitely look forward to another one.

Yes, I can't forget the new Star Trek movie. I have to admit that I'm a bit of a trekkie, so seeing potential origins of all the original characters was really great. Definitely exciting!

Avoid "The Reader"...not one of Kate Winslett's or Jeremy Iron's best by a long shot. Shot too much like a bad documentary and frankly, I prefer the memory of Kate's naked body from Titanic rather than the frumpy frau she was portrayed to be in this flick.

Saw "District 9" on Saturday. I had no idea what this was going to be like except that it was about extraterrestrials. Was pleasantly surprised. It made you wonder how it was going to turn out clear to the end scene. Also pointed out the evils of the human condition as this was also illustrated (sometimes humorously) in the aliens.

This movie was done like a documentary or news program in many parts of it which was quite different as well.

I give it a good recommendation for all those interested in the possibility of extraterrestrials as well as those who like action movies.

I watched "Knowing" twice since the friends and family I was with each time had not seen it. I must say it took seeing it twice to actually "get" what it was trying to portray. It kind of just leaves you with a "blah" feeling. There's really no relationship development of the characters much at all, and pretty much hurries the plot along too much in a sensational kind of way. I'm glad I only rented it for $1.00 at the Redbox.

This movie won the Foreign film award in 2004. "The Lives of Others" . Interesting look at the secret police in east Germany prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Entertaining and suspenseful.

Just saw The Bucket List..wonderful by my standards. I couldn't help thinking about Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freemans summer vacation during the filming of this movie! They have some awesome locations..and I think we all need our own "Bucket List". I know I do..

I just came home from seeing ... THIS IS IT ... I must say that if you had no intentions of seeing this movie, GO. I left auh struck in tears and not many things do that 2 me !
Michael would have been at the top of his profession had he lived. If you go stay all the way to the end through the credits. You won't regret this movie if you are an artist, or someone like myself that grew up in the Jackson era. Really all the behind the scenes of a pure, kind genius at work. 2 thumbs RIP..MJ (my opinion,as we all have one)

This isn't a movie, but did anyone see the first episode of the "V" series last night?

I was actually a little disturbed about it because the plot line is getting more and more plausible for our world as time goes on. A few years ago, this would have definitely been complete science fiction. Now it doesn't seem so fictional. Are we being conditioned for something like that to happen?

"The Fourth Kind" is coming out this week, too. Just seems odd that this progression in what we are seeing in the entertainment industry is taking place. I can't remember who said it, but somebody on George Noory's radio show said that the movie industry is fed story lines in order to affect the consciousness of our culture. Do you believe this? It does almost seem like it.

Watched the DVD "Whale Rider" last night and got homesick. Beautiful movie about a 12 year old girl, but not a kid's movie, lots of lessons to be learned from it.
