| Ladies, what do you think causes a man to fall in love... Posted: 6/29/2008 10:10:42 PM | its often said that a man doesnt choose the woman by who she is but just when in time he meets her. If they meet when he feels like he's looking to settle then chances are thats who hes going to stay with.
Then theres the school of thought that to make a guy fall in love you have to give him something that he craves and that no one else can satisfy. The venezuelans believe that a woman must be a chef in the kitchen, a lady in the living room, and a courtesan in the bedroom to entice the man she loves. I think in a traditional way that is very true. A guy who finds a woman that delights every part of him is not going to want anything else.
Then again there are those who are shallow and use their****as a divining rod.
Each to their own. | |

I am not going to sit around and think up ways to make men fall in love with me. I have more important things to do.
If they do, they do, if they don't, they don't. I am happy either way.

potion number 9 Have to say that I read this as position number 9. What would Freud say?
As far as what causes love, I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I would imagine that men fall in love for much the same reasons women do: physical chemistry, complimentary personalities, enjoyment of time spent together, etc. etc. I'm not exactly the one to ask about falling in love, though.
Edit: I also love the answer that said a man would fall in love with someone who made him feel good about himself. In fact, I think I like that better than my own answer.

I also love the answer that said a man would fall in love with someone who made him feel good about himself.
I am of the belief that NO ONE, absolutely NO ONE has the power to MAKE anyone feel good about himself...
To me, that sounds like a disfunctional approach...
I just refuse to become the permanent cheer leader of the house... What will happen if the woman is sick, or has issues where she just does not have the energy to MAKE HIM FEEL GOOD... What will the man do?...
Option A: Grow up and treat his wife like his equal...
Option B: End up on Plentyoffish as a married man, looking to find "friends" with benefits because the "spark" of their relashionship is "gone"...
I am sure we can brainstorm a whole bunch of other options, but those are the ones that come to mind.
It just does not sit well with me...
Anyway... Interesting thread...

I don't know, I would have thought it would have been different for each man. Everybody is looking for different things.
I would be curious to know what it is that the OP is referring to though. Perhaps he could enlighten us.

Posted: 7/1/2008 9:39:07 PM | | It's all about making the person you're with feel like the man, because everyone's a little bit selfish and it always boils down to how that person makes you feel. If you feel like you're the king of the world and she's the reason, it's more than likely love status.
