| A question of height ... Posted: 6/2/2007 6:43:03 AM | | well personally short tall really makes no difference to me and I have quite a few g friends who have dated and married someone shorter than themselves. I have dated shorter than me and still wore heels which was not an issue for either party. Hey LA law the girl married the guy on the show and he was quite a bit shorter and they looked great together. | |

| A question of height ... Posted: 6/2/2007 11:01:50 AM | | I personally prefer a guy to be taller than me by approx 3-4 inches. The reason for this being, when i go out i generally wear high heeled shoes or boots, this takes my height from 5'6" up to 5'9" or there abouts. I have been out with guys my own height but it is those guys who have made me that way, they always said 'they wish i would wear low heels' so not to appear as if i tower over them, this now has made me conscious of the height issues | |

| A question of height ... Posted: 6/2/2007 11:07:45 AM | im a tall lass at 5 7 so i meet alot of guys shorter than me. and even though i think there attractive i dont think i would feel comfortable dating someone shorter than me. being taller than a guy when out in heals is ok but they must be taller than me in flat feet. it is maybe a feeling that my man needs to be bigger and stronger than me as i do tend to go for very mascuine men. | |

| A question of height ... Posted: 6/3/2007 7:17:30 AM | I'm 5'11". I'm more comfortable dating men who are taller than me, but it's to satisfy MY comfort level, not because I have an objection to shorter men. Some women, at 5'3" or 5'5" are looking to date men 6' or taller! If I insisted on someone who would still be taller than me when I wore heels, well, lets just say that I might have to wait for a very long time!
It's no fun having guys do a double take when they see you and realize they're not looking down, and in alot of cases, they actually have to look up!
On the other hand, I had one experience that I try to hold on to: Several years ago, a friend and I were in a shoe store trying on outrageous shoes. I put on a pair of stilletos that had to make me about 6'3" and complained that I was getting a nosebleed and probably looked ridiculous. The salesman, who was about 5'4" and 110 pounds looked up at me and said "I think you look beautiful." And I could tell he really meant it!
It takes all kinds in this world, you gotta keep an open mind, otherwise you might miss something! I just hope I end up with someone who's perfectly happy to let me wear heels sometimes!

| A question of height ... Posted: 6/3/2007 8:34:19 AM | Op I am 5'2" and my boyfriend is 6'3"... Quite the height difference! However it's not a "prereq" for me for dating. It is a nice thing though. When he hugs me, he engulfs me and I love it! I don't think I could date someone shorter tham me, as that would be a little weird for me considering how short I am. LOL | |
