What would we do if it was one of our mates or even further down the line, what would you do if it was one of your kids????

Want some vodka in that red wine pet?
It is easy to blame ale though, when you wake up next to an arm chewer, or a moped you say to yourself, "wouldn't have done that sober", no you probably wouldn't - while your about it, have a serious word with the person who vomited down your shirt and pee'd inside your trousers!
Danger here is somebody could end up in serious trouble, for a crime he didn't commit and for many years women who have been real victims of such heinous acts were reluctant to come forwards because of attitudes shown by courts/Police.....eg the judge who commented that the rape victim went someway to been responsible by wearing a short skirt! It is a scary thought that it won't take too many girls crying wolf for society to step back to this stance. Sadly some have yet to move forwards it seems!

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 5:28:42 AM | its all excuses, so far i know. i have been drunk lots of time, but always knew what I'm doing where I'm going and whom i talking to, and i always remember what i did last night .its not only woman its the case with every one who take it as excuse 'oh i was drunk ,i shouldn't have done this and that ,I'm so sorry' or blaming others ' you took advantage, or you got me drunk to do this and that'
I'm ready to accept any change to my view provided with concrete facts:) can you please tell if anyone down there, who got drunk and never knew what they did or what they spoke last night? as i know i always had a clue. (or it might be because i never got very very drunk?)
Peace. | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 5:39:08 AM | I never get so drunk that I am not in control of my actions and decisions.
I may make some silly decisions while drunk bu tthey were my decisions and I live with them.
As others have said, know your limits and stick to it, being drunk is not a way out of being held accountable and responsible for your actions.
Passed out and taken advantage of is another matter entirely but then I would also say don't get yourself into that state in the first place, terrifies me when friends tell me they don't remember what happened after they left the pub/club/got in the taxi. Don't drink so bloody much then! It is not big, cool or clever to be that drunken mess staggering down the street at 2 in the morning stopping to puke in doorways.

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 5:55:25 AM | People get drunk and do things they regret. Alcohol is a great excuse for explaining to others why you did something that you may be judged for.
Women use the excuse to justify why they aren't in fact slappers.
Men use it to justify knobbing a dog.
But, to say that one party is taking advantage of the other is complete nonsense.

You are NEVER to drunk to say no!!! I for one think thats not exactly true, I get so drunk that my ramblings are completely incoherant.
I agree its a way for women to cover up their lustful nights which they might get labelled for. I dont think anyone should have to use the excuse for following their feelings.
What I don't like is bumping into someone one day and not really knowing where you've seen them before and suddenly the realization hits you...

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 10:23:52 AM | | its not rocket science to realise that alcohol reduces inhibitions and therefore makes a person more confident and able to 'be themselves'. when intoxicated surely you are being 'more yourself', i.e. that hidden part of you, the bit you prefer to keep a lid on,which is in you already is coming more to the fore. rather than the drink making you something you arent, it seems to me it makes you more of what you really are. | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 10:31:43 AM | Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that SOME pissed up wenches open their legs to a fella in the hope that it may turn into a deep and meaningful fairytale relationship, only to suffer rejection after the dirty deed is done and then feel fit to blame it on the drink/man!.
Harsh but true | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 10:48:56 AM | | if i were a bloke i dont think id want to sleep with someone who was really drunk, to my way of thinking it wouldnt be an earth shattering experience, must be like s******g a sack of spuds that could throw up all over you at any moment......not my idea of fun! and as for blokes who say they have been taken advantage of, surely you must want to or a little member wouldnt be able to perform! | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/5/2008 11:51:48 AM | Oh god there cant be many of us who havent ended up in bed with someone we probably wouldnt have slept with if we hadnt been drinking. Yes I have done it and yes I have been mortified but thats the end of it as far as Im concerned. Cringe a bit when you see him for the next few times and then forget it! If its a friend get it out in the open and talk about it and then move on - Is it that easy? Maybe Im talking out my bum | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/6/2008 7:33:50 AM | I dont think women are that naive and it is just an excuse But like many women ive had the old beer goggles on in the past, but ive always took it on the chin, and known what i was doing(just not how bad what i was doing looked) | |

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/6/2008 8:01:53 AM | Quite funny reading this thread.
Was thinking, I don't think I've ever had sex, for the first time, with a woman who was drunk. Yes plenty of times with partners (ie a lass I was having a relationship with)who were tipsy but again never drunk.
You know, perhaps I'm strange but the thought of having sex with a woman just because she was drunk or who was too drunk to take an active meaningful part in the proceedings doesn't actually do much for me. If I wanted a blow up doll I'd buy one.
|
| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/6/2008 8:43:58 AM | The question of a women using the excuse "i got drunk" is redundant in my case as long as there aware that they should be making sure that IM not rattarsed before electing to go home with me!Sometimes the mind is willing but the body isnt! If they ignore this rule then they may well need the sympathetic and diplomatic excuse cos i could be fookin useless!

| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/6/2008 12:42:23 PM | | Being honest, I believe that many people of both sexes need to be drunk or slightly inebriated to overcome the social stigma or personal inhibitions from family etc. attached to having casual sex, especially with an apparently attractive stranger. | |
|
| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/6/2008 4:15:03 PM | Mof, don't drink red wine......and rarely Vodka......so sorry won't work that one!
Casual sex doesn't really do anything for me! After being with a guy who got drunk everytime, to get in the sack...it's not a very attractive thing. I prefer to be in touch with my feelings, emotionally so can enjoy the experience, with someone i'm in a relationship with.
|
| Women who use the 'I got drunk' excuse.? Posted: 7/7/2008 4:08:12 AM | People say what they mean when they're sober and mean what they say when they're drunk....so the saying goes.
When was the last time two 100% sober people had sex for the first time?
It never happens in soap operas (which are supposed to reflect real life)
