hmmmm...wonder how you judge mine?..i was making faces at my daughter as she was taking mine..she waited til i looked normal before snapping it..she suggested it..also the body shot is a pic taken of me in a play i acted in last winter..so am i self absorbed?...lol..i think perhaps all those who are self absorbed tilt their heads etc,but that doesn't mean all head tilters are into themselves if you catch my meaning..from my experience,I've found your observations of women taking their own pic in the mirror and being odd in real life to be true of men i've known.

Indeed! Body language reveals much. Also-as a photorapher-I know that uptilted heads also are used to hide double chins. Where the eyes are looking, what sort of smile there is, whether there are dark rings around the colored part of the eyes, the way the arms are held, etc, all tell a lot. There are many books you can get on the subject of body language. Do read a few.

I think posing at an odd angle is more like "holding something back" or evoking the "mystery" it says to me that you have to work a lil harder or it takes a lil longer to know what she's about. Its very "standoffish"
Coincidentally check out my profile pic lol

What about a girl that does all those things and changes her photos 28 times a day like I do? I probably would make your head spin.
Interesting theory you have. I have a theory about guys who judge a girl on the way she tilts her head in a picture but I won't put it here. I don't want to thread jack.

Seriously, I think you theory wins the record for the most shallow statement I've seen posted on these forums.

Maybe it doesn't mean anything. People are not necessarily professional photographers. I used a friends camera and his friend took the pic. I had three. Two smiley ones and the grumpy one that finally uploaded. I kept trying to upload the others and in the end I was glad to get any picture up there. That picture has actually worked well for me. Now you can spend precious time figuring out why. People tend to over analyze every little thing on a dating site. Me included. At the end of the day, people are mysterious, especially women, to me.

Women with a lot of pictures in sunglasses are covering something up.

Yeah. The hangover and the sunken eyes look that accompanies a hang over. Or the red-eye phenomenon.

People posts pictures that they think they look good in. Sometimes they're right and sometimes... not so much.

I can tell you this much. I would NOT want to meet a guy who'd make such bald assumptions about me based on my head-tilt (or lack thereof) or the fact that I put in a big smile (which I hardly ever do for pictures, anyway) in a photo. Especially when based on other women he's met.. which... well it's fairly obvious that I have no connection nor anything to do with women he's already met.

Life is cruel!

Women like a well-read man.

But while he's reading, is when she passes by him.

If he's seriously intent on his reading, he doesn't notice her passing.

If he notices her passing, he wasn't seriously reading and can't expoiund on the subject in his hands.

In either case, it's a lose/lose situation.

But, do women REALLY like a well-read man? Does that mean that she wouldn't think bad of me if I said that I spent ALL DAY yesterday, reading the forums??

HEY! That's a LOT of reading!!!!!

I would be interested to hear the OP's opinion on posing for photos while asleep!

Not to mention posed photos of those whom really aren't photogenic persons, or those whom MUST resort to self-taken pics....for whatever reason. Afterall, not everybody has a friend or family member handy to snap off a series of kickass pics.

BTW, a girl that changes her pof pics 28 times a day obviously is a loser with too much time on her hands. I mean, she even has the time to count how many times a day that she changes her pics!
She should find something else to do with her time, like try to advance her education and maybe discuss the Milton-Bradley effect on the 2008 Presidential Elections!

Either that, or she's just an attention-whore like me!

You are correct in these views. Pictures literally are worth a thousand words and I think your average joe lacks the ability to draw conclusions based on pictures, profiles and interests.

Each section paints a picture and the whole page paints a whole picture. Sometimes they correlate with one another (which usually shows you the person is somewhat "real") while others have a send a lot of conflicting messages which means they are someone they are not - or trying to be.

Side note: I hate when you have people who talk about honesty and every one of their pics is at some funky angle, or not very "honest" at all.

Waaaaaaa. I'm telling my momoderator on you. Hey, you spelled "too" correctly (as in too smart and not "to" smart). Pretty smart for a dumb a** truck driver.

Back to the OP. You can tell by the way SharkBaitIsNemo has his head tilted down that he is only after one thing and he he drives back and forth across the country in a big truck looking for it. ha ha ha

Hey, it's not the Milton-Bradley effect, we are not playing monopoly here. It's the Bradley-Wilder effect and I finally finished and turned that darn paper in.

I think all yall are reading WAY TOO much into mere photos.

People strike a pose/angle that is most flattering if they're picture savvy.
Heads tilted or angled make a better picture.
A straight on face-forward pic often comes out like a boring mugshot.

Caps on men can hide baldness.
Sunglasses on either sex can hide eye wrinkles.
Other than that, the eyes and mouth expression is what to look at.
And that is subjective to each person.
A smile I find attractive you may not.

FYI.......truck drivers are company men and drive other peoples' trucks.

Truckers have their OWN company and are their own boss. They also tend to not live under someone else's roof.
And while some people drive trucks because that is the only thing that they can do and make a decent living. Others actually CHOOSE to drive trucks and like what they do, like the service that they provide to our country, and understand/respect the importance of our trade.
Afterall............absolutely EVERYTHING that you have, got their by truck! Everything that you own got to the store by truck. The building materials to make the building that you live in and goto school in, got their by truck. The car you drive got to the dealership by truck. The food that you eat got to the store or restaurant by truck. The computer that you are using came off of a boat and onto a truck.
Truckers keep America Alive! Clothed! Sheltered! Etc!

Heh..............we are fantastic providers!!!

BTW, some of us dumb azz truckers ARE college educated too!

I know that you didn't presume that my measly little high school piece of paper was capable of endowing me with as much writing skill that I show on pof?!?!?!? LOL
I know that there are more well-written men on here.
But, not bad for a po' white trucka', right?

As for my head being tilted down.....................
Yes, I'm only looking for one thing. And yes, I'm driving coast to coast, looking for it.

But, you'd be wrong to think that the "one thing" I'm looking for, is a one-nighter, FWB, or just a "piece".
I want the whole "pie" dammit! Crust, cream filling, whipped topping, and fruit on top!

Amanda..........I was think more along the lines of Risk, than Monopoly!

I have seen quite a few women who pose and pout and it comes across as cheap and tacky.

I have seen a couple of pictrues where the woman has her nose stuck in the air really loving herself. Well, what a turn off !

To the OP, if you're still around. Do you REALLY judge people by the tilt of their head or you just messing around? Judging people by the tilt of their head sounds even more shallow than judging women by their boob size.

To everyone else. My post to SharkBaitIsNemo was a joke and he knows it. I don't want anyone to think I'm flamming the guy. I wouldn't dare flame a trucker because you never know where he'll turn up next.

Amanda dear.....................I doubt that even 50% of the posters get past page one of most threads! Plenty of them are drive-by artists and don't even read the OPost. They're only responding to the subject line.
BTW, you ought to be more careful where you post! It would appear that a lot of the new threads, where you're posting, are getting deleted!

I guess that some people just like to extenuate threads that are as old as Moses. But then, some of them have been around here for that long too!

First- I do that on purpose. I have a good idea of which threads will get deleted because I look at the help forum report thread. I like to make my snarky or risk-a post in the soon to be deleted threads so there will be no evidence on my profile.
Second- How do you know all this about my forum post? *peeks out curtains* Hummmmm?

Third-We don't want to make this a chat thread or we will get reported so I'll stop my responses here.

Oh I don't know if that is altogether true.
Some of us just have to be caught in the right moment
Take myself for instance, I am usually behind the camera
so it takes a moment for me to think how to smile, etc.
