RFLMAO! I call people Honey all the time! Often it's cause I don't know their name, often I'm just being condescending! And no one has ever called me fat, even at 20 lbs heavier than I am now. (H3ll, even the bikers at the bar say my a$$ is ok to ride their bikes, and if you know bikers, they don't like fat chicks.)

I have a number of people I love that are definately overweight. Some of them are very active and healthy, some are not. Several take great pride in their appearance, and I've never seen them not 'put together'. Others can't be bothered. I'm a slender woman who can't be bothered with make-up most of the time. Hmmm. All different types with no way to categorize based on size? How could that be? | |

This medium is sometimes hard to communicate effectively through as there is no tone to a voice and the written word can be interpreted in many different ways depending on UNDERSTATEMENT CITY!!! C'est la vie
A few little spats here that're likely unwarranted, but quite possibly came from misunderstandings and/or misenterpretations. I won't involve myself in such, unless REALLY provoked, (after all we're ALL only human right) but can very easily understand how such events transpire, and I've been here for some years now.

Not sure what kind of "bikers" you hang with, but the ones I know, and they are all over, do NOT discriminate on any woman.........they just love women of all shapes and sizes.
now, to the question........as a "Horizontally Enriched" woman, I put average on my profile, because...............I am not BIG AND BEAUTIFUL or whatever POF has for that category. I am average, not skinny, not fat...........I have booty and boobs, so that to me is what the AVERAGE man wants.
So that makes me the AVERAGE woman.............I can see my feet, I can see my"stuff" and I dont think that I am fat by any means.........The problem is with the person that is a "fat" hater, he needs to realize that this site isnt just for him..........there are people out there with different tastes and different wants. I personally dont like short wanna be tough guys, and it seems that every guy on here with a harley thinks he is a bad boy...........no different than the "fat" women who think they are average, just because to them they arent "fat". | |

I don't think it's so much about lying about being fat, but more about not being honest about their information in their profiles. The person being larger was an example of the OP experience of this. Though you may not be lying by putting "prefer not to say", it isn't exactly being up front and honest about it either. Either you're in a relationship, or you're not. It may be an open relationship, which would allow you to see other people with your partners blessings. If that's the case, then put it in your information. | |

Besides, genetics play a huge part: what you may see as a morbidly obese individual can be perfectly fit - they could be just bigger-boned than others.

Meaning, we might down play our size. For example. You might be bigger then "average" but describe yourself as being average. It's a comfort thing. In the back of your head though, you know you're not average.
I want to shave a cat now, maybe toss it in a microwave. Does cat and rice go well together? I think i should turn back on my PS3 and get killing some terrorist on COD4. Or should i read a book, perhaps learn to be more respectful towards idiots on and off this site?

In my office there are 53 women, that I would consider unfcukable, not attractive, overweight and, basically, I find them visually unattractive. Out of the 53 all but 4 are married or living with someone. The goodlooking ones which probably total 10, 4 are single and 6 are married. So, I am thinking, the OP feels he has a great selection on the site by just looking at the profiles and pictures and then is disappointed when he meets them. But in the end, you don’t always get what you want, you get what you need and like I said before, look a little deeper OP because beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder. | |

Why is it, that when people have a debate about a subject, or even a simple argument for that matter, references toward Elementary behaviour is brought up?
Furthermore, I believe that most people posting in this thread (who remained on topic) did not label anyone. It seems to be those, who continually go off topic who are doing the "labelling".
OT: I've found that many of the men I've met from this site (back when I used to meet them) would lie about the status of their job ...... Goes hand in hand with men and women. Just a way to lure them in, and hope to God they fall head over heels for you before the REAL story comes out .... That's my guess. | |

Women perceive themselves as slimmer.
Men perceive themselves as taller.
If, when you meet, you don't like your perception of that person, then you don't meet again. Seems rather easy.
Of course if we would all be truthful on our profiles it would be easiest.
(just sose ya nose, there is no dishonesty in my profile)

For me I would not really feel the urge to look at a overweight woman but at the same time, once an emotional bond is formed, you will find them beautiful no matter what, I do not believe you can like or love someone and find them ugly. I beg to differ. I know a lot of women who perceive themselves as much larger than they actually are. Ever watch "How to Look Good Naked"?
I think misrepresenting oneself online is just a result of how easy it is to do it, no doubt born of the insecurity of the person doing the misrepresenting. "If they meet me they won't care about my size..." kind of thinking. | |
