Posted: 7/5/2008 11:00:56 AM | Almost back to normal in Ohio. Matches are showing up, the slow. The viewed me list seems to be updating, though again, slow. No IM functionality to speak of.
But, as long as it shows my new matches, all is well in the world.  | |

Posted: 7/5/2008 11:19:59 AM | To spiceystuff: Yes that is quite plausible or there were updates to the database software such as Apache,MySql,PHP and other updates needing a reboot to install depending on which database managerial software he is using whether it is Cpanel or Direct Admin I do not know or it could have been the server OS needing to reboot as well due to a Kernel update. So many things can cause a site like this to start going tits up.  | |

Posted: 7/5/2008 11:31:58 AM | I understand that gremlins could get into the system. But couldn't the operator post an explanation of the problem and when the issues are expected to be resolved? I know it's free and all that, (and this unique approach is really appreciated), but how hard would it be for someone in-the -know to just post a notice that would provide the 100,000 or so daily users with a idea about what's going on? Like what's caused this, and is there anything the users need to do to facilitate a speedy resolution? Hasn't anyone in admin provided anymore than the vague responses we've seen repeatedly over the last 30 or so hours?  | |

Posted: 7/5/2008 12:14:51 PM | | I also appear to be having problems. It is not showing who is online anywhere on my site and also there is no IM options for any profile. My site has been frozen since yesterday but now at least changing the profiles on who's viewed me and matches now. Hope they get it all fixed soon. I need a date for tonight for a shag in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. Take care little fishies. | |
