I can't say the "crunch" has affected me unduely - very small mortgage, don't own a credit card, no debts apart from a small approved overdraft. Yes things are more expensive, but you just cut your suit to fit your cloth - now have my daughter at home so am spending more on food but that just means shopping more sensibly for two rather than just popping in to M&S on my way home from work. It costs no more to burn a light bulb for one person than it does for two - and I have preempted the coming hike in utility bills by taking out a fixed rate which is in place now until 2010.

Other than that - life hasn't really changed at all - after all, if a girl can't treat herself to a Radley handbag now and then what's the point in going to work ;)

It happened because the people selling CDOs and motgages were making a lot of many of it, they didn't care if that was going to burst in some point they have already their pockets full.

Every bubble burst it happened always just look at the history, this was a really obvious bubble, that had to burst in some point, nothing last forever, and this was a desequilibrium that had to be corrected, this crisis will give us proper house prices again, I'm happy about it, also will get some cheap shares.
