And I forgot....I also dated a guy that served time in prison for robbing three banks. He only served a few years because he had fled to Canada and worked out some special extradition deal. His stories were very funny about how he did the first one on a lark on his lunch break and then he learned to buy a police scanner. I knew the relationship wasn't going to go anywhere but he was very entertaining.

I know - I'm sick :) I also like Norm Abraham on "This Old House".
Oh, I figured this one out a long time ago. I was married to a builder and he would start house projects and never finish them. I totally get this.

Norm Abrams, he starts a building project, then actually finishes it. None of that half built stuff in the garage for two years for Norm... no!

Geeky jobs: IT, Web designers, graphic artists, programmers.. intelligence is SEXY and so is passion for what you love and geeks tend to be very passionate about their hobbies and interests.

Musicians (notably, bass players and songwriters). Have you ever just watched a man strum a guitar and try to write a song? Every time inspiration hits, his face lights up and he is so into what he is doing.. Have you ever watched a man tune his guitar? He's in his own world and has such an intense look of concentration on his face..

I've dated two teachers and I have to say, they definitely are sexy. The whole fantasy of the desk and him being in charge of "teaching"... yeah that works for me.
One of the guys and I went to a pizzeria on one of our dates and I noticed a spelling error on the menu. I pointed it out to him and he reached in his pocket, pulled out a red pen and corrected the error and circled it with the SP mark for a misspelled word. I laughed my ass off when he looked over the menu and found two more errors and corrected those in red ink, too! Brains and humor = HOT.

How about those linemen who climb those transmission towers?

mmmm, just standing there stopping traffic while he climbs those utility poles....sometimes it makes a person wonder. ooops, did i say standing there stopping traffic? i can't count how many guys whistled or smiled at me as i was letting them move on. i was standing there with my safety yellow trimmed with safety orange vest. i was there to allow some ladies make themselves look all pretty by stopping them so the opposing traffic can go through the work zone. i was also a nightmare when it came to stopping traffic in all directions to let an emergency vehicle pass through......omg did people hate me for doing that. i would throw my stop/slow paddle down and tell everyone to "get the hell out of the way....now!!!" boy that was fun. my partner would have his traffic coming through and the emergency vehicles would be coming from behind me......i made my cars come to a complete stand still, had the other cars clear out as much as possible and leave room between the oncoming traffic (i had at a stop) and the rest of the cars i made pull over to allow the emergency vehicles to pass through without putting anyone in danger. the guys up in the buckets were watching me and seen how i had everything under complete control. during the return of the firetrucks the ladder truck stopped. he told me that i did the best job that anyone had ever done. when i went back to the shop at the end of the day, i heard about it from a couple other employees....... for some of the guys it's nothing like seeing a lady in a hard hat....same goes for some of us ladies. the hard hat, safety yellow vests and a really nice tan on some of those guys.

@mesa, i have to tell you something about that one the door's open.

Engineers and a Designers are a really hot profession to women. Were smart but at the same time creative and willing to learn new things. I don't understand how woman can be attracted to bankers though unless its the money their attracted too. Bankers bore me to death.

I love women who are involved in fashion or art. Something about them turns me on.

I go through phases -

cops
artists
tech geeks
welders
teachers

You know, as long as a guy does what he needs to do to earn a living, and does it well, that is the ultimate turn-on. Competence is so hot!

At my job, we're going to be hiring over 200 construction workers in a couple of years. I'm going to be in single-girl heaven!

not only did i have fun getting paid to flirt with the truck drivers.....i got paid for getting a really nice tan too. the thing that bites is now i have all of the time in the world to go out and get some sun....it's not fun anymore since i'm not being paid to get the tan. now, the only tan i get is walking to the market or taking my long walks.

It is not that I am attracted to convicts anymore than MD's. What I am saying is that I find certain life experiences and the way a person is able to express those experiences to be sexy. I just like learning about people and seeing what makes them tick. The bank robber was a puzzle because this thinking process was so different than my own and because I never met anyone who did that before!

Artists and musicians. Oh dear god, help me.

Doctors with good bedside manner, no pun intended. There is a big difference between the cold doc and the charming one.

Professors.

I always thought a psychologist or psychiatrist would make for a really interesting relationship and maybe quite sexy. But I've never met a single one.

I have dated several psychologists and I can tell you, they seem sexier when you are their patient.

Just because they work in mental health, does not mean they possess it in abundance!

Oh wait! A land surveyor? This is an outside job, yes?
Scratch the suit. You get points for the tan! Wouldn't want to cover that up!

Yes, surveying is indeed an outside job... usually. I've got the sunburns right now to prove it.

With the housing market taking a nose dive, construction has hit an all time low for my area. Small jobs have gotten me outside lately however, so I'm about a month behind on my usual summer tan.

For a math teacher you sure like to live on the edge...I bet Ted Bundy could spin a funny story--just ask Ann Rule...

I am not trying to be sarcastic, but you must admit that for you to willing date a violent criminal is not the norm.

I do have a question for you, how many times did you date the bank robber once he informed you that he had served time for bank robbery?

Ummm...I think a violent criminal is someone who becomes violent. You don't nessecarily need to become violent to rob a bank.

There have been some bank robbers who were graceful, even charming perhaps...I recall reading about John Dillinger and women just loving that guy.

Then what about D. B. Cooper??? Not really a bank robber but got away with tons of cash and didn't hurt a soul.

Bank robbers are not murderer's or pedophiles. I can see why women would be attracted to that type bad boy, until he gets caught, then I guess love bites. haha.

Profession? Not really...I have noticed that women who work in certain professions tend to get along better or tolerate me more: Health Care Pros, Legal Pros, and Education/Teachers, sometimes Office/Businesswomen.

I like the clean look of women's office attire, but that's about it.

I am amazed that someone would contend that "robbery" per say is "Not" a violent crime lol so now I need to spend the time to defend that statement.

The United States Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) counts five categories of crime as violent crimes: murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault

and just in case you think Canada is any different, below is the Canadian definition of a violent crime:

Canada classifies homicides, attempted murder, all assaults, all sexual offences, abduction and robbery as violent crime. [5]

My quick source for this is wikipedia and the URL is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violent_crime

Notice the word "robbery" appears in both lists as one of the predefined crimes that are classified by the very nature of the act as "violent"....

I think it is the word ROBBER.. does this not mean that they carry a gun ? Different then a thieft.

A robbery is a violent crime. Not interested in bad boys... I don't need a man with that type of life lived.
