Hmmmm...seems to me if each of us "gals" bring a couple of friends...all of the men will be in second heaven!
I certainly hope that each of you "gentlemen" bring along a friend or two to help even this out...
But in an effort to be cooperative...is 3 "wild and crazy" gals in their mid forties young enough for ya?

Posted: 7/24/2008 1:53:05 PM | 90% of my income is derived from Jim's Razorback Pizza. I do not make a single penny from hosting these events but my name would be "Mud" if I held a meeting at a different Pizza Place. the BBQ place does not matter. Any place we meet MUST have a meeting room big enough to seat us all and it must be provided FREE.
I agree that the pizza was poor at the Razorback place in Springdale but the pizza and service were good both times we met at Lowell. Fayettville also has high standards, good cooks and they serve beer which was the only complaint about the Lowell restaurant.
I host these meetings as a service to you all but I really don't have much time to run around looking for new places to meet or eat. When and if my finances get cleared up so I can have time to do such things I will gladly do just that. I enjoy exploring for new places. Right now I can make a quick phone call and the whole meeting will be arranged. Fayetteville is well over an hours drive away from my home.
I have asked for volunteers to help plan and host these meetings but nobody is stepping up to the plate so far, so I will continue to do the best I can do. Unfortunately the hiking trip took me over 8 hours of computer time and work to get it done and although there were 8 POF people who signed up, only 1 showed up! That one was me. Fortunately the hike was a joint effort with another group so there were 16 or so who actually took the Devil's Den hike. I posted the pictures of the hikers on our web site and fellas, I will say you missed a hike with some very lovely gals.
Please do not think that any part of what I have written here is a complaint. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I have enjoyed all the work and interaction and friends I have met through my activities here at POF. I hope you have too. | |

Posted: 7/25/2008 6:21:57 PM | I had worked real hard out in the sun all day yesterday and came to my computer all sweaty and without sufficient deoderant. I am sorry 3 people signed of who had previously planned to attend but I suppose it was all my fault.
On a brighter note I did reserve the Party room at Jim's Razorback Pizza in Fayetteville for August 9th at 7 pm amd we can all go over for Dancing at Bobby Sox after the pizza party. It akes a couple days sometimes for POF to approve a new posting so keep your eye open for it and sign up as quick as you can so we can meet our quota for a mass mailing
What do I do if someone says they would come but they can not afford the cost? What if it is one of the good looking gals? I say we take up a collection to cover the costs of our events and maybe include a bit of help once in a while where it might be needed. What say ye? | |

Steve I am retired.. (so money is an issue).....but I am lucky I am friends with lots of people in the group so someone has always covered my costs........
but being retired also means I have oddles of time.. so if you need someone to send zillions of e-mails or make lots of phone calls I can do that..... I have unlimited paid long distance........let me know what else I can do to help...... and please please... ask for my number..LMAO | |

I told her fine but it has to be before 7 cause I have other plans.......see my plans could have changed just like that... but I wanna see Jack and Kim and Arron and Joe and Steve and Steve.... and Lisa........ So I can't miss the fun... if I left you out.....phhhttt! | |

Posted: 7/25/2008 8:11:00 PM | I understand things change...it happened to me at the last minute in May when you all were planning the BBQ at the lake...it does look 3 people replaced those that dropped out. My 2 friends and I are driving up from Eureka Springs and will not be able to party late...it is a bit of a drive for us and 2 of us have to work Sunday... but we are looking forward to meeting everyone.
