| Riddles! Posted: 7/19/2008 10:36:46 AM | Correct..
How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about this paragraph? It looks so ordinary that you would think that nothing is wrong with it at all, and, in fact, nothing is. But it is unusual. Why? If you study it and think about it, you may find out, but I am not going to assist you in any way. You must do it without coaching. No doubt, if you work at it for long, it will dawn on you. Who knows? Go to work and try your skill. Par is about half an hour.

| Riddles! Posted: 7/19/2008 12:23:09 PM | | For the Feb 20th, 2002, question. My guess would be that when the date is written numerically, it is a double palindrone. 20/02/2002. But what does not make sense is "it will never happen again". I found 2 more time in 4 digit years, 21/12/2112, and 30/03/3003. So my guess might be wrong. | |

| Riddles! Posted: 7/19/2008 3:02:25 PM | Here is a riddle that has been around for almost 35 years.
A man is travelling in an open roofed car with a forward motion of about 20 mph. A shot is fired from an angle behind the man to the upper right. When the bullet hits the man's head it causes the man's head to jerk backwards and to the left.
How is this possible?

| Msg 111 Posted: 7/19/2008 3:53:52 PM | Believe it or not but 8.02pm on February 20 2002 was an historic moment in time.
It was not marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something happened which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen again.
As the clock ticks over from 8.01pm on Wednesday, February 20, time will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002,
2002 2002 2002
This historic event will never have the same poignancy as the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, which marks Armistice Day, but it is an event, which has only ever happened once before, and is something which will never be repeated.
The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock at 10.01am on January 10, 1001.
1001 1001 1001
And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again.

| Riddles! Posted: 7/21/2008 9:50:44 PM | Three guys go to a restaurant and buy meals and drinks. their bill comes to $30 so they all put in $10 each. The waitress collects the money but as she is ringing it up the head chef tells her their meals were on special so their bill is only $25. she is asked to give them back their $5. as she returns to the table she cant work out how to split the money so she pockets $2 and gives them $1 back each. now each guy has only paid $9 3x9=27 $27+$2 in her pocket is $29 where is the other $1 ??? | |
|
| Riddles! Posted: 7/21/2008 10:03:51 PM | No, the men paid $27. That's it. They have the other three, $1 in each pocket. The bill was $25, and the tip was $2. That totals the $27 the guys paid. No money lost.
The fox and chicken's jaws are wired shut :)
Ok, ok...
He takes the chicken first. comes back for the fox, returns with the chicken, goes back with the corn. Then he comes back with nothing, and goes across the final time with the chicken.

| Riddles! Posted: 7/22/2008 6:53:45 AM | | A man is standing in a crowded public square. He pulls a red cloth from a bag, and sets the cloth on fire. A few people notice, but think nothing of it. The man then pulls out a white cloth and repeats the operation. Again, a few glances, but no reaction. He then proceeds to burn a blue cloth, black cloth, yellow cloth, orange cloth, and purple cloth, but no one pays much attention. Then he pulls out a green cloth and sets it alight, and immediately several people surround him and start yelling. Two policemen force their way through the crowd and arrest the man, taking him away to the indignant shouts of the crowd. The man is subsequently tried and given a lengthy prison sentence. Why? | |
