| what makes life fun for you?
Posted: 10/20/2008 8:37:55 PM | The fact that I wake up in the mornings and can enjoy another day makes life fun for me. Being a part of my son's life as he matures in to a respectful and responsible young man. MY FRIENDS always keep me on my toes which makes every day a new adventure. The loves of my life make my heart smile. Then there are the typical fun things that make life worth while: watching for falling stars in the arms of the one you love, laying in the arms of someone you love all snuggly in bed on a rainy day, roller coaster ride/carnival rides period, watchin roller derby, finding new places to explore in the PNW, trying a new flavor of ice cream, catching snowflakes on your tounge, snow angels, walking in the rain and watching the beauty and strength of a horse as it runs through a field. These are all things that make my life fun and keeps me from surrendering to the stressors in my life! | |

Posted: 12/5/2008 9:09:43 PM | the highs and lows of life are like the tides. one day they're high, the next day they're low. everyone has bad days, no matter how optimistic they are, there are some days when nothing but bad things seem to happen and overwhelm us. its how we deal with them that is important.
specifically for me, gotta be capoeira. nothing like the ginga to the sounds of the berimbau and atabaxi! otherwise going to the gym, a bit of improvised martial arts or being with my family and friends. my dog too is a big stress-breaker - dunno what i'd do without my dog! | |

Was just in Stevens Point, Oshkosh, St. Norbert, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Madison, Platteville, *House On The Rock*, La Crosse and then home to Menomonie. Marketing usually consists of music, movies, furthering education, products, & military.  | |

Posted: 1/18/2009 9:05:22 PM | I had been such a homebody for years, but this past summer, I realized I needed to do something about my weight and started walking at a park near where I work. I loved it. As soon as it gets warm, I plan on hitting it again. I lost around 20lbs to boot. That was a nice bonus. I enjoy people watching so I enjoyed watching people at the park with their families and friends. It was very relaxing actually. Good way to walk off stress.
I really enjoy PC adventure games. I know it makes me sit in front of a computer, but I just really enjoy solving some of the puzzles in them, or solving a mystery, etc.
I guess I like to write, because I'm on messages boards too much, and I've started a sci-fi/fantasy book that I've had in my head for way too many years. | |

Posted: 1/18/2009 9:23:37 PM | Taking a walk, the forums, music, movies, seeing my lady friend, dining out, family (especially my nieces), photography, peforming in a play, writing, reading, maps, travel books, crosswords, sudoku, chess, and preparing for my first open mic at the local comedy club.

Music, watching kittens play, looking at those silly lolzcats websites..and strangely enough talking to strangers whenever I go out.
I try to look at everything in the most positive light possible..and that makes things alot more fun. It helps to have a baby around too, because they are so much fun as they learn how things work and all that stuff.. | |

Yes, it can be a struggle for some to figure out what that sense of purpose is exactly, but it can be discovered if you search enough. Personally, the greatest fun or joy I get out of life is helping those less fortunate than myself. Whether it means visiting someone in a hospital that needs companionship or helping build a home for a family in need or working at a homeless shelter. Like most people, I have experience my share of negative things in my life, but to be able to bring something positive into someone else's life who has been lacking hope or a reason to continue is a feeling that goes beyond description. | |

The most fun I have is being spontaneous.
If I wake up one day and feel like going to the beach or somewhere, I go.
Sounds weird, but when I run across "mean" people (which is often in my field of work), I LOVE to be nice to them. It's such a challenge.....and watching them soften up and turning an "enemy" into a friend is so rewarding!
Fun for me is never knowing what the day will bring and knowing that I have the power to make it good or bad!

My new Epic Tuesday night hot tub's with my 2 best friends, all of the above make getting through each week much more enjoyable, and endless laughter is always a treat! | |

Seriously now...I have fun being in the moment, making time for what is important to me.
I have learnt that it is not healthy to deny yourself your true passions, that is why I make it a priority to set aside the time to go to the gym, read, paint, sing loud in the car, savor the flavor of my culinary inventions, and let my piece of chocolate melt in my mouth ;) | |

Going off to the park on a weekday.
Buying crackers, cream cheese and Russian caviar on a whim.
Spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down...
Finding out I actually made less last year (2008) but that I actually saved more than the year before because I had a girlfriend at the time (in 2007). Did not realize the spiraling costs of romance!
