Three of us went to the BBQ at Ft. Hamilton at 2:00 PM that day and couldn't get in. They told us that you needed to be a military member or dependent with assocated ID or be escorted by a member of the provate club.
We called all the numbers and no one could help us.
Why didn't you give us your cell?
We wasted practically half a day traveling on a major holiday because you didn't plan well.
We don't think it was very thoughtful of you.

Posted: 9/2/2008 3:56:46 AM | I did call that number and make reservations right away days in advance. I left a name and number on a voicemail and no one called me back, so why should I think that anything wasn't OK? My friend called, too.
I think you didn't plan this thing. I work in catering for many years, so I should know what it takes to organize off-site events and this wasn't organized at all.
Turning guests away! Come on.
