Some women may be attracted to other traits rather than physical looks.
Wealth, power, sexual prowess, body language, lineage, security, intelligence, smell, size, tone of voice, gaze, demeanor, parenting skills are all things that may trump the pure visual attraction.
Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman star) hooked up with Lyle Lovett (fairly ugly dude).
Of course that did not survive.
I think men tend to be a little more visually biased than women . Many studies have shown that women marry men who they are NOT physically attracted to. Mostly it's for security and these same women tend to have affairs during their marriages.
Maybe being ugly and poor it the best way to know for sure that your partner truely loves you for who you are! :) | |

She thinks that an ugly man is easier to "control".
Yep, that's it right there. Most pretty girls LOVE to become the 'boss' of the relationship. Most pretty girls can't handle decent looking guys.
In my case I wouldn't mind doing what she'd want to do, provided she showed me she was able to do the things that I wanted to as well. Too many times when I went on dates with attractive girls they expected me to just do whatever they wanted to do and everything would be ok. If they couldn't think of something to do, THEN and only then would I be 'allowed' to have any imput on what we could do.
I would expand my horizon on searching for girls, but unfortunately I'm just not attracted to the 'larger' girls.

If that was a response to my post, Jstaniceman, I think you misinterpreted what I said. I treat ALL women equally. I have many friends both male and female who are a bit 'large'. However when it comes to someone I'd like to date, one of my mandatory requirements is that she's not 'large'.
|I agree with you that all women have hearts and feelings. Thing is I workout constantly and am looking for someone who shares the same enthusiasm as I do when it comes to workingout.
I just prefer someone who's not large/obses. I like to go jogging and stay on the treadmill for a long time. Then I wieght lift. It's my hobby, nobody who's large/obses is going to be able to keep up with me. But that's just about the physical features. I'm sure there are kind attractive girls out there. And one especially attractive girl who's kind-hearted, waiting for me. | |

Posted: 7/14/2009 11:45:40 PM | He's a regular guy who got lucky and hey, more power to him, I say. She was big enough to see past his looks and he had the winning personality to woo her heart.
Whenever I see couples no matter who is more handsome or prettier, I never wonder anymore. I just wish them well and may they live a happy life together. There's already far too many of us singletons here...
