try reading a few dozen of the female profiles, many of them are quite fond of openly expressing their frustrations with men

"no games!"
"i just want a normal guy, wtf?!??!"
"I HATE liars!!"
"I just want someone who accepts me for who am I!!"

Is see that in a lot of profiles -- makes you wonder who they really are and what it is about them that is so wrong that they have been rejected because of it... eeek!
The same goes for people wanting someone who is "open minded." I start thinking that means the person has some sort of scary/unsanitary fetish they wish to introduce you to.  | |

I think because my ex said that and turns out he had a major-major pot problem and was a big-time control freak -- I mean nothing could be out of place or he'd lose his mind. He was a high paid exec who could have lost his job had they found out about his smoking habit.
Thing is, many times people who say they want someone who is open-minded, are not that way themselves. They want YOU to be open-minded to their ways, but you have to conform. | |

(a) It shows 'I can party', 'I have fun', 'I hang out with the attractive *in* crowd'.
(b) Younger women especially can be very competitive with other gals and jealous, and they'll want a guy more when he's liked by other women, especially of the very attractive variety. | |

Even if it's just a friend or a relative it's a bad idea to pose with the opposite sex. Some people don't read the captions. Close male/female friends are also questionable. | |

The remaining women use either photos taken with a cell phone via a mirror, or wedding and graduation photos.
I think it has to do with what photographs they have available. | |

^^^^^^you may be correct. another reason might be to let people know not to bother if they don't measure up to the cuties in the photographs. in that sense, it's an effective weed out mechanism. | |

But you do bring up a good point about pictures that people post in general.
what's up with pictures that have you and your friends in it? I find it irritating when somebody just posts pictures of themselves with their friends and they don't indicate which one they are in the pic! | |

The guy is advertising he's wanted by hot looking chicks. Never mind the "chicks" in the pics are his sister and her best friend or "Miller girls" that all they do is pose with guys who want a pic.
It's a dumb move which gives you insight into how bright the man is. | |
