There are no POF parties scheduled for Cruisers but that doesn't mean there is no party scheduled there. I read there is one on the 26th on another website. It's just not one affliated with POF or endorsed by them. Ok, I'm sure I'll be attacked now. I just think people should have a choice and be aware of what's out there. Again let me stress it is not associated in any way with Plenty of Fish. I would have brought it up on an off topic thread but it was brought up here, that's why I responded here. If I broke a terms of service rule, I apologize.

I'm glad everyone had a great time for those that gave us their opinion about Froghair last weekend. I am sorry to burst everyone else's bubble, but I was not impressed with it. It was way too crowded and since most people didn't wear their POF tags, it was very hard to figure out which ones were a part of it. Then the other people looked at us kind of "off" since we had the name tags on. The restaurant was set up kind of distasteful so while other people were sitting down to a nice Friday night dinner, there were all of us and more running in and out of the inside bar to the outdoor section...quite a distraction! Outside you felt like more of a sardine instead of a POFer. Dancing...another joke, on the sidewalk near the stairs. If you want to venture out to dance, make you you don't have one too many before strolling up there or you might fall on the stairs Sorry, this place was just not my cup of tea. In my opinion so far as some of the places I have tried out, Jacobi's was the best place these past few months IF THEY FIX THE AIR CONDITIONER!! I'm sure some my agree with me and some won't. I am not looking for popular opinion nor am I running for mayor. I felt at Jacobi's you could at least walk around and mingle more freely and DANCE YOUR NIGHT AWAY!!

Gloria:

I do see what you are saying and I respect your opinion wholeheartedly...my take on the place was a little different.

It was crowded, but people were nice. I was able to get my first drink right away, the bartender was not only hot..but very efficient...kinda like,,getting great service and eye candy at the same time! What a bargain!

I found the crowd very nice and friendly. Some regulars I do believe joined me and rain in the corner and some of the regular crowd actually approached me during the night.

I loved the atmosphere there. I was able to wear a dress and fit in there. The lighting and aura of the place was great as well, my only regret is that I didn't venture outside but Rain and I were having fun anyways inside where we were holed up. Another thing that I like about Froghair is that you can stay as late as you want without the crowd changing. If you weren't out at around 10 pm at Jacobi's, you were swamped with a totally different crowd that was a little bit more rowdy with the police lurking around...not my thing.

Jacobi's was fun and I enjoyed the couple of times I attended the mingles there, but I personally liked Frog Hair better.

I hope you find an event you do like Gloria,,,I know the mingles are more fun when you find a place you like, everything else just falls into place. :)

p.s If you like Bonnie's mingles...she is having one at cruisers this weekend but for another website. You should contact her and find out the details.

I knew Dan (Eckie) from the Buffalo Chat Room days. What happened to him? I asked in an earlier post and it appears it wasn't read.

Gloria,

I know it was a little hard to find the other POF'ers, but I felt it was okay because you got the chance to meet singles and it didn't really matter where they were from.

I loved the atmosphere.... different from Jacobi's, but different can be good. I like both places, but frankly, without a/c at jacobi's, it was uncomfortable for me and others who ended up looking like drowned rats. lol

It was hard to brave the crowd at Froghair, but I felt it was worth it. We liked the place so much, my friends and I went back on Saturday night and have a great time. There were far less people and easier to walk around. The food was great, and even though there wasn't a band that night, we still had a great time. The fire pit was going and everyone was sitting around it like a big campfire.

Dan is home and resting and as a matter of fact Heidi he couldn't handle any of the women that where there that night. He gave one a kiss and the next thing you know he's grabbing his chest. He will be ok and want to come out all ready Maybe he will be at the casino(grabbing his chest) See you all later

The more the marrier and besides who need a tag. Men are men and women are women just go with the flow. Gloria for mayor. Frog hair was the best. I guess if you can't hang ,don't go. See how simple that was.

Dave:

I figured Dan's condition had something to do with a woman. You need to stop introducing him to such "hot" women! Dan's health depends on it!!! Tell Dan to take out his blow up doll for awhile, I"m sure she misses him!!!!

I'm glad to hear he is ok :)

I had a great time! Got there early and Dubbs introduced me to a few people and started the socializing juices flowing (alcohol helped too!).

I was guilty of throwing the name tag out, then I got a new one. It's nice to know if people are POFers. I know dorky could fit my personality at times, but a name tag is always dorky. I have an idea though...Why not wear a colored bracelet like those ones for cancer awareness. I would not mind donating a few bucks for a good cause and in this way we know who other POFers are. What do you think?
