Posted: 7/20/2008 6:11:47 PM | I'm soooo not an extreme-temperature person, so Summer and Winter are both crappy seasons to me. I would love it if Spring and Fall were the only 2 seasons!!
What I love about Fall is the end of sky high monthly energy bills for central a/c, getting much better gas mileage due to no more a/c usage in my car, the breathtakingly beautiful multi-colored leaves, the cool crispness of the air, harvest moons, haunted houses, haunted castles, haunted wineries, haunted hayrides, haunted mazes, carmel apples, and hot cider with cinnamon sticks.
IMO the only bad thing about Fall is that daylight hours get shorter and that what's headed our way is too many months of scraping car windows and wearing an eskimo parka.

I'ts like when we all use to do slug bug on a road trip. Fun until the arm starts getting numb, then it's proverbially annoying and an irritant.
Even professional comics refresh and change their routine/material sometimes.

Posted: 7/20/2008 11:41:13 PM | It’s not about censorship, or expecting people to change their views/opinions. Sometimes for every positive reaction, there is an opposite negative reaction; we all learned this in 5th grade science.
I never understood the need for the fantasy Pollyanna POF world, where everyone agrees with everyone. It really is okay to disagree, tempered with tolerance, provided tolerance is relative to each persons belief system.
For every one person you find agreeable, you find a person disagreeable. This is diversity and this is what makes interaction a collaboration of learned lessons, and an enlightenment sometimes of opposing views perhaps not realized before.
It boggles me why people aren’t comfortable with not being suited to everyone’s taste, sometimes I don’t understand why this makes people so uncomfortable and reactive.
I believe and will practice, that for every person who articulates himself or herself, we all have the right to verbalize our pleasure or displeasure in reply, this doesn’t make people enemies, it just makes them dissimilar.

To me, the fall activity...is be able to do things or go places were you don't have a bunch of kids screaming or yelling or talking all the time..Example..a movie were you try to figure out how they got into when it says 17 and older and they want to talk, answer there phone's (an I the only one that this happen to) or just keep getting up and down the whole movie..besides, I don't want to be inside on a beautiful day outside, movies to me are for the fall and later..

Posted: 7/21/2008 8:44:48 AM | TNMANALONE, i was at the movies and this ghetto gal's phone kept ringing and she kept answering and did not even attempt to whisper. all's you heard her saying was stuff like, "aw hail naw, yall did not just say that. git the fugg outta here. no babe i told u im at the mutha fugging movies."
NO JOKE!!!!! but she was saying the actual words!!!!!! then her and the man two rows behind me, and she was up near the front, got into a verbal argument. it was unreal. someone went and got management and they kicked her out, but how darn rude.
now back to fall......i love the cool nights on a crisp fall night and you can sleep with the window cracked....

Also Halloween down here is not like up North, first year had a couple, as the years have gone by, NONE, I still buy the candy...YUMMY.....A shame people had to ruin it for the kids..hell I enjoyed it to, seeing how they dress up..Have a party in town, give out bags of candy, prizes for costumes and over, not even a bonfire no more...
Like going to them corn mazes, and haunted houses, but even those are less and less..
