I am considering coming out (have never done an event) but I am just wondering what this icebreaker thing is all about...even though I am very outgoing in my professional life it seems I am not so much in my personal life. Is it a requirement to bring other singles or are fishes able to attend by themselves?

Kate must still be sleeping after that pop rock thingy she had last night. LOL. So I will answer for her (and if I am wrong trust me Kate will kick my butt). There is absolutely no requirement of any kind other than to come with the attitude that you want to have some fun and meet new people. This icebreaker? Well that is the hardest part of the entire event. Some people don't survive it. Kate makes it really hard actually. So I would be prepared for it. (i am kidding of course, kate or who ever is hosting the dinner would think of something fun to ask everyone to share. just a way to help everyone relax and get comfortable)

( for once) The first event is always the scary one and that is why this is a perfect one to do for your first. We all sit at 1 large table and have great food and conversation. I like to do an ice breaker question to kick the night off just so everyone knows something about you and it helps start the conversation. Last time we did this , there were about 17 women and 5 great guys....so to us women, it was not intimidating at all but for the guys ....well....they looked pretty darn happy!! Kandi, I can give you my cell number and meet you in the parking lot to walk in together...let me know .

Don't worry, we are all relatively harmless and you might even find something to smile about. As far as I could tell, the only requirement is that you be willing to have fun, whatever that means to you. Well, bearing in mind that it is a public venue.
Turns out I will be working in Ft. Dodge on Thursday which will put my arrival time in Omaha in question (once again) but I think if I get an early start all should be well. Save me a seat though just the same Kate.

I have put a challenge out to a young fisherman to attend an event and ask me a question to my face. Let's see if he can do it huh?

I think hornyguy can sit across from Male_seeks_partner. (once he posts) Kate you sit across from Nan and I will sit across from Pat and Dave can sit across from Jim. Unfortunately noone will be able to figure out this seating arrangement but 2. Come on people sign up and let's enjoy a great dinner party AGAIN!!!!!!
