I missed all the fun yesterday.

Let's see, I guess a lament for the Goat is in order:

Wire brushes, Lysol and Windex;
Scrubbing with more effort than sex
With an angry rhinocerus
Would make you quite delirious.

A fetid clotted back cavity
Infested with a thousand sand fleas:
I can think of better things
To attempt on a weekend which brings

Smells of encrusted enfreshened dog doo.
Now it's time to air the Barn out, those farts flew
Like heat-seeking missiles from a gross silo;
It'd turn to harder stone the Venus de Milo.

Let's bless the air which washes our nasal
Passages clean, then stuff in some basil.
The Goat is hemmoraging evil odor, yes,
But on Sunday, thank Gawd, it's a day of rest.

Hello all. Hello to the barn-dwellers, too. Sorry about no mmet and greets tonight, time has become a little short tonight. Ah, Rory...you did miss a heckuva lotta fun last night. Mari reinflamed a hernia, Pickles popped a staple, Om blew milk through his nose, Miz kept the lines going, Breathing chortled away and me...well, I exercised some laugh-muscles.

And I roared again reading the new writes. "Encrusted enfreshened dog" Best. Line. Ever.

All I have is this little write I wrote after I had supper:

============================

Rumble and Toot

My belly gurgles
Like some seething volcano
Beer and burger are the magma
Tonight may be
A simple outgassing
Through the main volcanic vent
Ash will not spew forth
And cover the city

===============================

Ooorp! Better just sleep it off and flush it through with some All-Bran and some good, black coffee. Always does the trick.

Okay..see youse guys tomorrow. Thanks for the laughs. G'night!

LOL>>>did I come to the right place? Goat and bras and lingeries, etc, scratching, Oh my goat heaven you all made me laugh...Loved it all the way! Got to run the wee one is crying!

This Barn filled with love
Such warmth come over me
Each time I walk in
There is always new entertainment
Laughter shakes the barn's walls
Goat's droppings all over the place
We do not mind 'cause he is the greatest
The people who come and go
Are what makes this place
Oh how I have missed so much
Yet each time I laugh outloud
Because the ole barn is still vibrating
With humor, laughter, and all great things
I shall sit on my bale and watch for a while
Great readings to keep me busy
Oh how peaceful this barn is
I sit and think what a crazy barn this is
And leave my mark once in a while!

Hi to you all! And what a hilarious reading I had from page 119, thank you all for the laughter. I must now jump off my bale and find my way home! Now first to my page in here and off I will wander until another day! Love you all and may each of you have the greatest day ever!

Bye bye for now! Sweet and charming!

Good evening mighty poets,,,,,, And yes, remnants of goat farts linger…Stop, and inhale the fragrant aroma….

Mari_Sam - - How are things with your hernia?? Gotta watch the laughter ya know!!
Miz- - I agree: This ole barn, thanks to the Goat, is a place where life is respected and celebrated …A place where you can laugh at life and all of the seriousness it holds…
Om, good day to ya- - I could hear your words floating in time…and the sound of silence resonated…A day is never wasted, “reading” or doing something you choose to do, it is time well spent.
Charming - -You live in a great place: When the snow falls, the ocean comes alive…Have fun trudging home through the snow
Rory - - I must say your lament was grand!!
Longte - - Your writes are quite vivid!! Good on ya, mate
Dear pickles - - Based on your writes, you’re obviously feeling better?!

Smelly goat, - - “It Smells Worse than a Tray of Cheese” I loved it, the original song holds a special place in me heart…. A day with you is a fine day indeed!

~~

Reflections of time
Simple moments
Captured on the page
Crackling leaves
Hints of smoke
Espresso on my tongue
Warm scents of life
Touches of dawn
His palms
Tracing
Memories on my skin

~~

Sleep well, don't let the bed bugs bite....

Hello all. The day is late and the words are thin today. My little brain is empty tonight...what a shame, huh?

Hello Charming...good to see you back and I'm lgad you enjoyed the chuckles here. It was a carry over from another thread which name escapes me at the moment. It was a good time. Glad to know you're doing well...bless you for the poem.

Hello Breathing dear...you are still the better poet in this household. Don't argue.

As for me...well...let's see:

=======================

Poetry .Bomb

It ain't what you say, it's what you do
It ain't what's in the chimney, but in the flough

The spoutings that cover the ears like ash
Will never earn a poet any cash

But if one stays true to their own own words
They'll never fall like peanut-stuffed turds

================================

Splat! Wet clean up in aisle four. Get extra mops!

Okay...see youse all tomorrow! G'night!

SO tonight was a big night on the town
Put on the slapper and slinky black gown
Hair was as stiff as a girls dream man
Lips were pouty and slicked to a shine
Earings were bling...and looked quite real
Shoes were slingbacks with diamante heels
This bod sashayed in through the door
Looking quite svelte, thanks to the OR
Oh I basked in the compliments I was having such fun
Till a jerk decided to pinch my bum
Bad enough that he was risking his (political) life
The a$$hole did it...
In front of his wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YUP...known this guy for 20 yrs.....

Hello all. Happy Sunday!

Hello Pickles-dear..ya should grabbed his nads and twisted counter clockwise -- let him know who's boss. That would've made an impression on his wife as well.

A sermon? Yes, I do have one tucked away in the folds of my fat belly. Let me wipe it off and we'll begin:

=========================

Psalm 24 – The Book of Goat

Oh, these days at the week’s end
Are a true Blessing
Thy Lard hast done Nothing
For the whole weekend

And before those
Certain People
Say
“Oh, that must be nice.”

Thy Lard sayeth
That it is
Very Nice

So drop your obligations
Those responsibilities
That seem so hard to evade
(But really aren’t)
And enjoy a day of reflection
Of playing video games
Reading good or bad poetry

Open the windows and let some air in
Kick the kids outside

Because it is indeed
Very Nice

Amen

===============================

Off and a-running. See yer tomorrow, eh?

Amen...rev..:)
Some never learn eh pickles...
yes indeed breathing, never a waste.
------------------------------------
A bomby 56 F today
With out the sun
And the flys are coming out now
Enjoying it
On my windows
And Monitor
And leaving little messages
Of just how much fun
They are having
The little buggers

-----------------------------------

Ok, closing windows now,
as my son would say, peace out..:)

Howdy barn dwellers....

what a lovely rainy day we are having, the only good thing is that snow is going away...yahoooo...spring is in the air...lol

Hope your all doing well, I have been writing today so thought I would share this,it was a topic listed and I guess some feelings came out,,,but all is good...

take care we shall talk soon

Irritation

Sometimes you drive me crazy
I feel I cant hold on to us
why do you constantly do these things
to make me put up such a fuss

It's a never ending story
we repeat the same each day
why oh why can't we resolve this
get this nonsense out of the way

Little things you do that irritate me
can be easily solved some how
if you would just listen to me
see how you make me feel right now

I don't want to feel this way
that you don't care how I feel
don't tell me I am overreacting today
this is pain in my heart that may not heal

You don't understand my feelings
I tell you but we end up in a fight
your words and actions are hurting me
I just want to be alone and cry tonight

Cry like the rain clouds
let go of all my fears and doubts
when the sun rises tomorrow
we can try to work it out

Just understand this my darling
that I will never part
Even though I feel this way today
I love you with all my heart........

Hi, there, miz, good to see you posting more these days.

===========================================

TALE OF A PROSELYTYZING MACAROON

I opened the door this morning on a bright sunny day
With feelings of good-will toward men and women
When, to my great surprise, on the welcome mat was clay--
No, it was a four-inch macaroon, a wayward cookie hymnin'

To itself about "Ovens of Bliss", and "Warmed For Jesus";
It introduced itself to me with it's name of "Edible Sin";
I said, "Whatever, and I hope you continue to do what pleases
But I won't be donating to your cause, I don't know where you've been.

You might be a nasty confection, all hard with stale sugar.
And you might want to just put me in your baking plans, I fear.
With collections of like-minded cookies, who holds the luger?
I like to eat my cookies, not listen to them,-- and wash them down with beer."

The pink treat then sneered at me, and issued me a pamphlet.
This is what it did say, and I solemnly quote:
"We're overtaking the world with sweetness, where's my damn jet?
I need to convert more stodgy ignorers of macaroons. Take note

That I'll be here forever, just like the sturdy fleas that bite,
And the flourocarbons that illuminate the garbage dumps.
With religiose fervour, my message is never mild or trite.
So convert now with passion, or forever take your lumps."

That was it, I had had enough of this sweet-talking blob of dough.
"OK, buddy, off my mat now, or I'm calling out the kids:
They'll bite your head off, then all day long they'll laugh and throw
Your remains at each other; your philosophy's on the skids."

I closed the door and went back to my cookie-less Fanta
While shaking my head. What was this world coming to?
Next there'll be a knock by a goitered elf wanting a collection for Santa.
Yesterday's goodies are now alone and running blue.

Hello all. Sorry I can't stay for too long...time has slipped away again and the evening is almost gone.

I had to do some computer fixing tonight and that led me to this:

======================

Purged, an Urge

A hard drive was cleansed tonight
Hands were laid upon it
And, through will and persistence
It was saved

Ironically
Only the dirty bits were wanted
And very few clean ones
Were kept

======================

Good to see Pickles, Rory, Om and Miz. I'll be back tomorrow to properly read with a beer in hand -- not to evaluate, but to enjoy. A day without poetry is a day like..well, without a good morning fart. The whole day seems off a bit without that morning fart and evening poetry.

Yeah, I'm refined that way....

See yer tomorrow. G'night!

Hello all...another busy night for moi again. So, it's another post n'run night here.

Howdy Om..we'll get that scraped up before the night ends. First I'll just admire it's architecture and smell. Lovely.

Okay...something from the goat's ass, fresh and hot:

====================

An Early Night

Ain’t got no poems
And I ain’t got no psalms
There’s nothing in my head
All the live day long

Maybe I’ll craft some art?
But you know I do jest
I’ll just sit and scratch myself
Because that’s what I do best

=====================

Okay...now where's those Lee Press on Nails (tm) at? Perfect thing for some grrrrreat scratching.

G'night!

Quietly
The watcher
Waits
A solitary man
Inside the lighthouse
Silently
He gazes to the clock
Time, he sees
Has passed him by
A life he once dreamed possible
Now, unreachable
Memories lost in the fog
A ship, in the distance
He has forgotten
Her name

A woman sits
In silence
She too, is waiting
Alone
On the cliffs
Her eyes turn to the sea
She recalls a life lived
A history imagined
Drowned
Lost in the waves of time
She remembers everything
She can’t forget
Her dreams were alive
Reality was her truth
She remembers
His face
~~

Sweet dreams....Gotta snooze, soon

Lurking Lurking Lurking

Gorgeous day; job fell through
I went fishing as you do

beautiful the early morn
just before the crack of dawn
a quick trip to get a feed
and fulfil some primal need

head out to the flattie grounds
cause I know there's some around
spikey but cook up a treat
really bloody good to eat

best are just the middle size
biggest ones are pretty dry
so half a dozen in the boat
little nibble on a float

smallest flathead ever seen
pure evil; from nightmare dreams
spiked me twice the little turd
not happy, I'll give you the word

only wanted to set him free
instead he spiked with ecstasy
happy smile on fishie face
put this fisher in his place

next time I'll have a mate with me
be his job to let them free
..

I love all the threads in this forum, hope you don't mind the contribution

The Cold

My throat is scratchy,
my nose is fillin'
the room is warm
but I be chillin'

I know the body aches will soon show,
when that happens, off to bed I will go.

I hate having a cold, fun it is not,
especially when your head is filling with snot,

the Nyquil will be my best friend tonight,
as my poor immune system losses the fight

I will stay in bed till I get well
cause if I show up at work sick, I'll get hell,

So in bed I must stay
until this cold has gone away

-which is soon I pray.

a silly little write, that everyone can relate.

Hello all. Another quick post n' run night for me...sorry about that.

Greets to Breathing...I already saw her today. Actually she's on the couch right now waiting for Who's Line is it Anyway to come on. It's our nightly ritual to watch that show.

Hello to Longte...lurking dragon, speaking of great and tasty things. Well, some of them weren't so great but they were tasty, I'll bet.

Welcome to Milgal...I love the contribution and I thank you for coming into this crazy little barn. Pull up a bale and make yourself at home.

Me? I have something here somewheres:

===========================

May The Force Keep You Awake

I wish work was as much fun
As a good video game
Then I wouldn’t mind
Going there
Fighting enemies
Overcoming obstacles
Upgrading my lightsaber
Adjusting my armour
And dashing in again

Instead it’s usually
Fighting boredom
Overcoming a distended bladder
Adjusting my underwear
And wavering in and out of sleep
Wishing to return to the fun zone
That is home

========================

I will quit my job to play Knights of the Old Republic II...I swear it. That game is like crack or Doritos. Gets right under my skin and squeezes my liver.

Urgh. I shall overcome.

Fear not.

See youse tomorrow, eh?

Good day everyone, today has been a poetic day, not sure if they are good, but hey they are my words...lol...sorry its a long one....lol

Hope everyone is well, I am doing allright, weather is a little cold but the snow is slowly going so thats a plus...

Take care chat with you all later on

What are you reading?....

You come and share your thoughts
laying feelings on the line
many read your words
thinking everything is fine

But do we really know
or do we even care
why those words were written
And on these pages shared?

Most words are a part of us
deep inside waiting to be free
some people deal by thinking
others write them out in poetry

Thoughts become words
written on a blank page to read
can you feel the pain inside
The hunger or the need?

Each word written down
is a part of the poets heart
some write how they feel
others of how they were torn apart

Poems of days gone by
have graced our lives
ones of happiness and hope
or of marriage husbands and wives

But while we read these words
do we really try to see
what the words were meant to say
to you as you sat to read

Take the time to really read
between the so called lines
you might find the reason
the write was shared this time

Not every poem has a meaning
some are just expressions of the day
but take the time to really read
maybe find a hidden message anyway.....

Howdy to ya, Longte – Lurking amongst the fishies
Miz- - Hmm, the words beneath the lines…..Sounds like your life is in flux?!
MilGal - - Good to see some new blood here!! Stick around, tis a welcoming place

The goat is occupied….He should around shortly with his wit and wisdom

~~

Union Garble

I sat
Dumbfounded
Amongst a group
Of buffoons
Some, were
Feisty
Some, were smart
And one,
A self-proclaimed
Sex goddess,
A dancing baboon
Moving her hands
In the air
As her ass
Slid
Across the floor
And me,
I simply
Stared

That was my night ...

Hello all. Hello lurkers. Hello Miz.

I think Breathing slipped in ahead of me tonight....hello, dear.

It's funny, Miz...I think we're on the same page today. Or at least we're in the same book.

Post n' run...work comes early tomorrow:

===========================

Just Reading…

Did a gathering of consciousness
Frighten away poetic muses?

Did a realization of “I”
Blow our divinatory fuses?

When I pause and relax
I am allowed to find

The song, the beat, the tune
Within my bicameral mind

===========================

Okay...yes, I'm still readin Julian Jayne's book. I'm almost done, so you may see another poem inspired from it yet. Hard to say. This one fell out like a booger at a high school dance.

'Er somethin' like thet...

Anyhoo -- g'night!

Hiya folks just popped over for a few reads before bed...
Maybe I can muster up something, *Yawning*

I really like what miz said
It's nice to slow life down
Take in all that is written
And really hear their sound

No ifs, ands, buts about it
A good book or poem will do
Fills the mind and helps us sleep
In dreams that may ring true.

Night all :)

edit; you slipped in there goat..I'm so slow..
great to read that! back for another gander...:)

Lurking

The Booger at the High School Dance
landed gracefully upon my sleeve

Green and thick with stringy bits
texture like someone had just heaved

I had met you just that night
thought you were devine

Must get rid of the Booger
if I would make you mine

Do you remember that Pirouette
when you looked so fair

Thats when I took my chance
to wipe it in your hair
..

Howdy....yes I am going through some stuff breathing, but its allright, if we didn't have ups and downs in life it sure would be boring right?...I keep trying to tell myself that...lol

This topic was on another thread so ran with it....

Hope your all well, take care for now

Turn the page....

Time stands still as I wait for you
precious moments slip away
memories haunt my mind
of that un forgotten day

You were my life my heart
the one I wanted for life
promising me the world
to someday make your wife

I trusted you and your words
believed everything you said
longings filled my days
fantasies filled my head

Now you turn and walk away
my heart is filled with rage
I need to get over this feeling
and turn another page

Turn the page to move on
to a life without you
fighting the urge to give up
knowing its something I must do

Time moves on I no longer wait
my heart is empty of rage
moving on with my life
I finally turned the page...
