| God is in each and everyone of us... Posted: 8/20/2008 7:00:23 AM | was in town 2 weeks ago when an American 'gentleman' and I use that term with caution was peddling his belief on others, holding his bible and shouting about his faith. He asked me when I passed him 'Do you believe in God Almighty?' I responded that I was a Celtic Pagan and that I really wasnt interested.
On this comment, he bellowed out that I was going to burn in hell...nice....
i really dont know where this sort of personal damnation has came from but,it is by know means how jesus helped people find god.we are not on earth to send our brothers and sisters to judgement.thats gods job.god asks us to except his son and spread his word through the testimony of doing so.the spirit does the work,we just follow the path and show others the glory of it in doing so.i am sure the fellow you mentioned believes he is doing this, but i cant see how the spirit directed him to act in such a way.god bless.

| God is in each and everyone of us... Posted: 8/20/2008 2:29:29 PM | Passionandsong...thanks for the insight but I will stick with the 'old faith' thanks. Personally I see no glory in worshipping an entity that wants to be feared. And...Im sure this fellow thought the was doing the right thing, but people like him - who classed himself a christian just puts people off who MAY want to know more. As I dont believe in heaven I do not believe in hell and his words fell on deaf ears, what irritated me was his arrogance of 'my way is the right way' maybe it is for him but not for me.
A friend of mine is a church go-er, probably one of the nicest people I know but she is openminded, will not force her opinions on others as is happy worshipping her 'god'. She accepts the fact that I do not want to be buried in consecrated ground or have anything to do with the church, but, dear of her, will still come to festivals with me dance till dawn and flake out at 7 am with a bottle of scotch still clutched in her grubby fist...the understanding?? We respect each others beliefs and put our differences aside. If only others would do the same.
