Thanks Gummi for the info about Google maps. It's cool and the printing is larger so you can actually read it!

Mile (Tammy) it's been too long - you need to get yourself out with your dancing shoes! I got Austin's baseball schedule & he has a game Saturday but I'll head down to KC after it's over. I'm ready for some & WOO HOO

Ok. Angel is the one with the chocolate syrup and cool whip. But I agree. If you have that you must have strawberries, pineapples and bananas! Dang now I am hungry. Starting to think I may be safer staying home this time. But, no I will be there. I think my daughter and some of my friends will be coming with me so you be good (Peg and Ric).
Ready to dance!

I talked to someone at FunkyTown this morning and this is what I found out... They are going to close at 1:30 am which isn't any big deal. As far as what time they are going to open that decision hadn't been made yet she said if they do open earlier it will be 7 pm. As for the cover charge, they are talking about changing it also but that hadn't been decided yet either. She says we will just have to keep calling back and checking. She was going to try and find out today and said to call back later. Therefore, if anyone calls out and gets a confirmation from Gary or anyone else out there; please email me the details, and I'll update the main post. I already updated the closing time. I also hear there could be changes to the dress code or just that it will be enforced more strictly. I will hold off on the mass email until we get more clarification. I would appreciate it if others could call out and help get clarification. I work strange hours and really can't call out there when they are there.

<<< Total shock!! Your kidding right!! 1 30!!
(Just kidding you sid)

I can't imagine that should make that much difference.
I should think people can have loads of fun anyway. The last couple hours are often a blur for some anyway.

Well... there is always the Flamingo Lounge right up the street once Funky closes. It is open until 3am and has a live band, and they are usually good bands to.

Called FT again today and they were supposed to try and get me answers to all our questions, but I didn't hear back from them today. I'm holding of on the mass email until I get confirmation and some answers to questions about rumoured changes.

Hi everyone!! I just got off the phone with Funky Town:

New Info as confirmed by June (that being the name and not the month. lol):

New hours of operation: Open at 8.
Close at 1:30
New cover charge: $7.00

June said they hadn't increased the cover charge in 10 yrs., so yes...they opted to do that.

Hey...its only 2 bucks.

Well...I'm gonna guess that the 61 is how many people have signed up to go to Funky Town. Since there's 196 posts in this thread, I'm going to guess that the 6489 is how many times this thread has been viewed?

Seems like an awful lot to me. But hey! It could happen!!!

From what I gather it looks like there are a number of people who plan on heading out to FunkyTown Friday night the 5th also. Some of these people will report back here about the changes FunkyTown has made. If we find out about any more changes between now and the 6th we will post them here and update the main post. So please check out the main post for changes prior to heading out to FunkyTown.

This disclaimer is added by the site to all the event mass emails that myself or anyone sends out.

This email was sent because you are within 10k of the event or are signed up to it. If you do not want emails like this disable party emails in your mail settings.

How freaking hard is it for people to read it... understand it... and follow the directions if they don't want to receive an event mass mailing? Either these people can't read or are just plain stupid and lack common sense . Minimum requirements for dating... must be able to read and comprehend the English language and have at least a little just a little common damn sense . Being Latino is a big plus in my book also .

OK... done venting now...
